Event Update For 2018-09-13

http://jumpingjackflashhypothesis.blogspot.com/2012/02/jumping-jack-flash-hypothesis-its-gas.html

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

When fire crews arrived, flames were coming out of the garage and most of the family was already standing outside. Firefighters said the fire, which was contained to the garage, was mostly under control within about 20 minutes, but a 29-year-old man was found dead inside a car."

Quote: "Multiple injuries have been reported and 60 to 100 homes are on fire in the Merrimack Valley, north of Boston, according to police."

Quote: "Fire and explosion investigators with the Massachusetts State Police are responding to reports of multiple structural fires in Lawrence, Massachusetts, following explosions. Methuen Police Chief Joseph Solomon said there are so many fires 'you can't even see the sky.'"

Quote: "Lawrence General Hospital said it was treating 10 victims with injuries related to the fires, including at least two of whom were in critical condition. Several firefighters were reportedly among the injured."

Quote: "Lawrence Police confirmed that a man has died from injuries sustained during the series of gas explosions across the Merrimack Valley, north of Boston Thursday."

Quote: "Officials said Leonel Robson, 18, was killed when the house at 35 Chickering St. exploded, and its chimney toppled onto the vehicle in which he was sitting."

Note: Huh, never had to deal with something like this in terms of residential explosions. Had lots of instances where one home explodes and destroys a bunch of other homes too, and I counted those as one explosion, since it was just one explosion, albeit with a lot of collateral damage. This is the first time where a BUNCH of homes have exploded separately like this though. I guess, to be consistent, I have to count it as 35 residential explosions, since that's actually what happened. So these are the 219th-253rd residential explosions in 2018. Also, this could be another one of those kinds of events that we haven't seen before that might very well happen again now that we've seen it happen once. I certainly wouldn't rule that out...

2018-09-13 - Scientists urge immediate, decisive action to tackle deoxygenation in the oceans:
http://www.fasterthanexpected.com/2018/09/13/scientists-urge-immediate-decisive-action-to-tackle-deoxygenation-in-oceans/
http://sdg.iisd.org/news/scientists-urge-immediate-decisive-action-to-tackle-deoxygenation-in-oceans/

Note: Oceanic anoxia - and the consequences of it - may be the single biggest threat to human existence, so I understand the desire to fix the problem. However, it's not just *a* problem. Warmer waters naturally hold less oxygen, so we'd have to stop the oceans from warming and, in fact, we'd need to undo all the oceanic warming that has already occurred. Since some of the warming is very likely coming from below, and we have zero control over that, and since the warming from above is now stuck in an unstoppable and accelerating feedback loop, I don't see how it's realistically possible to re-oxygenate the oceans to any meaningful degree no matter what we do and regardless of how dire the need to do so is. And th-th-th-th-that's all, folks!

Quote: "A woman has died after a possible medical episode led to a garage fire Thursday in North Las Vegas, according to a fire official. Firefighters and police officers responded just after noon to a home in the 3400 block of Herring Gull Lane, near Aliante Parkway and Grand Teton Drive, on reports of tires screeching in a garage. North Las Vegas Fire says they arrived to find a fire in the garage, with a woman in her car unconscious and unresponsive. Firefighters were able to put out the fire and get the woman out of the car. Investigators learned the car had hit the hot water heater, which they believe sparked the fire. The woman's husband and a UPS driver tried to pull her from the car, but the fire got too hot for them, according to a fire official. The woman was taken to a hospital, where she later died."

A storm surge four storeys high wind gusts 330 kmh (an incredible 205mh) Super Typhoon Mangkhut slams into the northern Philippines
    http://www.thebigwobble.org/2018/09/a-storm-surge-four-storeys-high-wind.html

It's easily the biggest storm of the year...

Super Typhoon Mangkhut slammed into the northern Philippines on Saturday (Sept 15) with violent winds and torrential rains, as authorities warned millions in its path of potentially heavy destruction.

The massive storm, which forecasters have called the strongest typhoon this year, blew down trees, tore off roofs and knocked out power when it made landfall on the island of Luzon in the pre-dawn darkness.

As it barrelled west toward China across the disaster-prone archipelago, the storm's gusts strengthened up to 330 kilometres per hour but its sustained winds had weakened to 185kmh. [more]

An estimated 5 million people — nearly half of them children — are facing threats of strong winds, heavy rains, flooding and landslides as Super Typhoon Mangkhut — known as Ompong in the Philippines — descends on Luzon, the largest and most populous island in the Philippines.

With maximum sustained winds of 165 mph, Mangkhut/Ompong is being called a "textbook super typhoon." The storm is expected to produce life-threatening storm surges up to 19 feet along the coastline. [more]

The riddle of the closing of the solar observatory in New Mexico

Why did the Solar Observatory in New Mexico close?
    http://robinwestenra.blogspot.com/2018/09/the-riddle-of-closing-of-soalr.html

Hal Turner claims to have intelligence sources that say that:

“ the Solar Observatory was being used by China to SPY on US Missile and other testing activities, at the White Sands Missile testing site, near the Solar Observatory."

    Further, he says:

"Equipment detected on towers at the Solar Observatory were found to be highly advanced, real-time, spying gear sending all sorts of images, signals intercepts and important telemetry directly to China.

"Everyone working at the Observatory is likely now under intense National Security Investigation. Everyone who ever installed equipment there is also likely under the same level of investigation.

"Depending upon what data the Chinese obtained, they could not only defend themselves from our latest missiles, they could NEUTRALIZE our missiles, making it impossible for the US to strike back if we were attacked. The potential breach of national security is at a level described to me as "disastrous." " [more; yeah, sure]

    https://www.sott.net/article/395965-A-taste-of-the-future-Disbelief-as-snow-hits-and-northern-Alberta-farmers-scramble-to-save-crops-worth-millions

The snow has seriously affected his canola and wheat crops, certainly downgrading his wheat from grade one or two, to a grade three or the "feed" classification — making their value much less.

And while he's got to start harvesting his crops, using the heavy machinery to do so will cause huge ruts in the wet ground. This will be a "significant problem" for next year while he gets the fields ready for planting again.

Even if it warms up soon, he said, the damage to the quality of the crops is done.

He's often asked if farmers have insurance to cover events like this and he always responds that they do, but their job is to feed people and insurance doesn't cover that. [more]

In August the Environmental Working Group (EWG) released its findings of glyphosate contamination found in popular oat-based foods. EWG found that out of 61 conventional and organic food products tested, 48 were contaminated with the potentially carcinogenic herbicide glyphosate. Furthermore, 43 out of 45 conventional food products were contaminated with 31 of them above the EWG 160 parts per billion safe limit. Most major corporate media outlets happily ran with the EWG findings which constituted a move away from typical censorship, or just plain ignoring, of such reports. Perhaps the extended media coverage the EWG findings enjoyed was due to the recent, still buzzing $289M lawsuit loss delivered to Bayer AG-Monsanto in San Francisco due to cancer caused by the company's Roundup herbicide product.

Documents from 2015 and 2016 obtained through a Freedom of Information Act request showed all honey products tested in an FDA-conducted examination contained glyphosate residues. Also in 2016, Food Democracy Now and the Detox Project released their findings of popular American food products and their levels of glyphosate contamination while calling for corporate and regulatory action. The Center for Environmental Health's independent testing also found glyphosate contamination in all tested samples of conventional American cereal products. [more]

Hurricane Florence’s 1-in-100-year storm surge breaks all-time records
    http://www.desdemonadespair.net/2018/09/hurricane-florences-1-in-100-year-storm.html

Hurricane Florence was only a Category 1 storm on the Saffir-Simpson wind scale when it struck, but the hurricane’s massive wind field brought a huge storm surge to the coast that broke all-time high-water records as much as 65 years old. Two of the three tide gauges on the south coast of North Carolina that have long-term records going back to 1954 or earlier (Beaufort and Wilmington) had those records fall on Friday, and the other station (Wrightsville Beach) notched its third highest water level on record. Long-term storm surge records like this are very difficult to break, and speak to how large and dangerous Florence’s storm surge has been. The threat from Florence's surge is not over yet, either--the National Hurricane Center was warning on Friday night that Florence's storm surge could still bring water levels up to 12 feet above ground in eastern North Carolina. This is how the world ends: Will we soon see Category 6 hurricanes?
    http://www.desdemonadespair.net/2018/09/this-is-how-world-ends-will-we-soon-see.html

There is no such thing as a category 6 hurricane or tropical storm – yet. The highest level – the top of the scale for the most powerful, most devastating hurricane or tropical storm capable of destroying entire cities like New Orleans or New York – is a category 5 storm.

Meteorologists and scientists never imagined that there would be a need for a category 6 storm, with winds that exceed 200 miles per hour on a sustained basis, sweeping away everything in its path. Until now, such a storm wasn’t possible, so there was no need for a new category above category 5. [more]

Almost all buildings in the city of Tuguegarao sustained some damage, a government official said, and communications were down in places.

The storm packed winds of 185km/h (115mph).

Four million people were in its path, and thousands were evacuated amid warnings of 6m (20ft) storm surges.

Francis Tolentino, a political adviser to President Rodrigo Duterte, said up to 14 people were killed as a result of the storm.

Two rescuers were killed trying to help people trapped in a landslide. Unverified reports say the body of a young girl was found in the Marikina river, which flows through Manila.

Faustino Dy, governor of Isabela province, said farmland had been hit and the extent of infrastructure damage was unclear.
