Event Update For 2017-03-20

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

Following extensive field expeditions and satellite surveys, researchers in Russia have identified thousands of bulging bumps in the Yamal and Gydan peninsulas – far more than they had expected."

Quote: "On Bely Island, scientists found methane was 1,000 times above normal, while CO2 was around 25 times higher. 'As we took off a layer of grass and soil, a fountain of gas erupted,' one of the scientists working at the site explained."

Quote: "A massive fire Monday afternoon at an apartment building under construction at a multimillion-dollar development on College Boulevard in Overland Park sparked blazes at numerous homes blocks away."

Quote: "Some residents described hearing an explosion before debris fell on houses and started fires. 'It sounded like a bomb,' said Juan Roque. The home of a resident on Reeder was completely destroyed. 'It just went poof,' she said."

Quote: "'It's a bit of a war zone down there,' Rhodes said, adding that in his ten years with the fire department, he's never seen an incident of this magnitude."

Quote: "The vast scale of the blaze left firefighters' resources stretched thin. As crews battled the large fires, homes could be clearly seen in flames with no trucks immediately available to help."

Quote: "There was panic in Badagry area of Lagos on Monday when an Iroko tree burst into flames and continued to burn for more than eight hours on its own. The incident happened in Topo Garage in the early hours of today and all efforts to put out the fire did not yield much result. Rather, the fire became more massive as officials of the State Fire Service battled to quell the inferno which was said to have started from the stem of the tree."

Note: A lot of the time with wildfires, they're blaming humans after eliminating 'traditional' ignition sources like electricity or lightning, but assuredly many of those fires they're blaming on humans are starting like this, with a tree or some bushes or dried grass or brush bursting into flame...

  3. Ah, the ignition source. Well, if there's enough methane or hydrogen sulfide in the atmosphere then there doesn't need to be a spark - the air itself will spontaneously combust. So you've got a tree, with a lot of porous matter. Methane or hydrogen sulfide blow into tiny little pockets in that porous matter and when enough has accumulated in this or that pocket of atmosphere (which could be very small), you get spontaneous ignition of that pocket of air. Get enough of that happening and you've got a fire. The same thing will happen with clothes, hair, cardboard, paper, piles of rubbish, etc. That means that ANYTHING porous and flammable can burst into flame out of nowhere now, no spark or other ignition source necessary.

  5. That spontaneous combustion of the air itself is also why baled piles of shredded plastic and stuff have gone up in flames. The plastic isn't porous itself, but between the pieces of plastic there are pockets of air, and the plastic is itself flammable. So the air combusts and ignites the plastic, seemingly out of nowhere. So add to porous matter anything flammable that might have pockets of air around the matter for whatever reason, where gases blowing through can get trapped and accumulate and concentrate. You could possibly see non-flammable stuff igniting that way too. It won't actually be the non-flammable stuff burning, but the pockets of air around it.

    ReplyDelete
  6. An example of the above would be concrete burning. We've seen that already, the concrete base of a bridge igniting. The concrete, though not itself flammable, must have been porous enough to trap some flammable gases in pockets of air until enough had accumulated to start a fire. That may be how some of the piles of metal have been igniting too, although rust does provide an additional ignition possibility if hydrogen sulfide is involved. But even if not, then methane alone could ignite a pile of normally non-flammable metal bits, by accumulating in pockets of air around the pieces of metal in the pile.

  7. Thanks Jonny - this seals our demise for sure! If anything can burst into flame at any moment NOW - and additional accumulations of CH4 being guaranteed - we have no chance of avoiding the collapse of industrial civilization. So far, it's been random, sporadic and scattered. Before long it may become systemic, normal and widespread. Heh - that sounds like now too!

  8. Yeah, those expanding methane domes in Siberia - they went from not being there at all to thousands of them growing. Extrapolate out just a little and there'll be even more of them appearing, and not just in Siberia, and they'll start exploding and/or spewing their contents. That's the Earth aiming some planetary-scale firebomb guns at us.
