2017-02-01 - Hydrogen sulfide hitting coastal Laguna Beach (California):
http://www.latimes.com/socal/daily-pilot/news/tn-dpt-me-0202-lb-laguna-terrace-odor-update-20170201-story.html

Quote: "The owner of a manufactured-home park in Laguna Beach said Tuesday there is a 'high probability' that the odors that some residents have complained about are coming from outside the park and not from the sewer system. Residents of Laguna Terrace Park, on South Coast Highway, gathered at their clubhouse to hear Stephen Braun, Hometown America Corp.'s chief operating officer, give an update on the company's investigation into the source of what has been identified as hydrogen sulfide, a colorless gas that collects in low-lying, poorly ventilated areas and smells like rotten eggs at certain concentrations. Residents have reported odors emanating from sinks, toilets and air conditioning vents as well as outside of their units, and they have attributed various ailments such as headaches and difficulty breathing to the gas."

Quote: "For example, the average indoor reading taken from the seven homes from Oct. 1 through Nov. 28 was 0.694 parts per million, while the outdoor average reading near one of the houses was 0.686 parts per million from Oct. 1 through 11, according to results. The inference, said Braun, is that the odor is not coming up through the indoor sewer pipes, that there is something in the unrestricted outdoor air that is just as powerful."

Note: So it was just as strong outdoors as indoors, so yeah, not likely coming in from the sewers, but just blowing around in the atmosphere. It's probably blowing in off the ocean, Earth's traditional source of hydrogen sulfide. Off the West Coast is the huge and growing Great Pacific Garbage Patch. As the oceans become more 'landfill-like', they emit more 'landfill gases', like hydrogen sulfide and methane. This problem will continue to get worse until there are no more human beings left alive on the surface of the planet. And then it'll get REALLY bad, but that'll be a problem for the bugs and weeds and bacteria and jellyfish...

2017-02-01 - Hydrogen sulfide found in well water in San Antonio (Texas):
http://www.mysanantonio.com/news/article/Willis-opens-West-Side-Loop-addresses-rotten-egg-10901302.php

Quote: "Construction begins Thursday for two cooling towers for two Catahoula wells. The $1.2 million towers will help fix a harmless smell caused by hydrogen sulfide emitted by the well water, according to Riley."

Note: Harmless?! Hydrogen sulfide is as deadly as hydrogen cyanide, which is what they use to EXECUTE PEOPLE in gas chambers. The British weaponized it in WWI to kill German soldiers in trenches. They chose it because A) it's easy to produce, B) it's a heavier-than-air gas which would flow across fields and down into the trenches, and C) it's extremely deadly. Harmless my ass! Lets see these officials drink some water that's just 0.1% hydrogen sulfide and see how harmless they think it is then...

2017-02-07 - Hydrogen sulfide wiped out life on Earth during the Permian-Triassic:

http://ucalgary.ca/utoday/issue/2017-02-10/ancient-rock-record-sheds-light-ocean-responses-global-warming

Quote: "By analysing sulfur isotopes in pyrite minerals, the team concluded that 'the main killing agents' were brought about by the mixing of sulfide-rich waters from the deep ocean with oxygenated shallow waters. Exactly what caused this increased mixing is still a mystery, however. 'Sulfide is toxic to eukaryotic cells and we know that hydrogen sulfide at concentrations of a few hundred parts per million would be lethal to humans, if exposed for a prolonged time,' explains Shen. 'The shoaling of sulfidic waters, therefore, would kill marine animals in the Permian–Triassic oceans.'"

Quote: "Although the end-Permian extinction happened over a quarter of a billion years ago, the events that triggered it have added significance in the light of current-day climate change. 'Satellite remote sensing has clearly shown that massive fish mortality in the Namibian coastal waters are associated with sulfidic waters,' says Shen. 'As a matter of fact, due to human-induced eutrophication and global warming, the episodic occurrence of hydrogen sulfide has been reported in many coastal waters – such as those of the Gulf of Mexico, California and western India.' This warning is echoed by Lyons, who notes that there 'are lessons to be learned from this event, as we face warming in the present-day ocean'."

Note: The same thing is happening right now, and has been underway since at least as early as 2002, when sea life began fleeing the depths in the ocean off the Pacific Northwest. And the lesson I would learn from this is that we're no more likely to survive this event than all the other species that it's wiped off the face of the Earth in the past and, therefore, we should focus on Plan B options, or else this is the final chapter in the Book of Humanity...

http://www.providencejournal.com/news/20170206/moving-toward-solution-to-nuisance-odor-at-east-providence-sewer-plant

Quote: "Waste from Barrington is sitting inside its pipe so long - a situation apparently exacerbated by dry conditions over the past year - that the resulting anaerobic (oxygen-less) conditions are causing it to decompose and give off hydrogen sulfide. Not only does the gas smell of rotten eggs, it's also acidic, said Gray. As a result, it can be corrosive to equipment at the wastewater plant."

Quote: "The International Union of Marine Insurance (IUMI) has today (Wednesday) published a position paper voicing its concerns with fires on ro-ro passenger vehicles. Marine underwriters have witnessed an increase in the frequency of fires in the car/ro-ro passenger vessel segment and IUMI have put forward recommendations to mitigate the risks."

2017-02-12 - 'Nasty odours' sickens 68 people at airport in Hamburg (Germany):

http://www.rt.com/news/377108-hamburg-airport-injured-substance/
http://www.standaard.be/cnt/dmf20170212_02725977

Quote: "Nearly 70 people have been taken ill at Hamburg Airport after 'nasty odours' were pumped through the terminal's air-conditioning system."

Quote: "All flights were stopped after scores of people reported 'respiratory irritation' at the airport. People were treated for coughing, breathing problems and burning eyes by paramedics at the scene. Medics raced to the terminals 1 and 2 to treat holidaymakers who had reported feeling unwell."

Note: They're trying hard to blame this on a small canister of pepper spray that a worker threw in the trash. There's all kindsa stuff wrong with that excuse. First, you have to assume their employees are incompetent, to dispose of such a canister unsafely. Then you have to assume more employees were incompetent and put a trash can near an air return vent. Then you have to assume that the canister vented spontaneously for some reason but nobody heard the sound or noticed haze coming out of the trash can. Then you have to assume that people would call pepper spray a 'nasty odour' - it's not, it smells like pepper, it's just very irritating to the eyes and mucous membranes. Then you have to assume that a personal-sized canister that mysteriously went off by itself for some reason could possibly HOLD enough pepper spray to disperse enough to sicken 68 people. And then you have to assume that even though it's not NORMALLY invisible, the pepper spray, in this instance, somehow became invisible because nobody reported any haze. Any ONE of those things...sure, maybe. But all of them? Nah, far too implausible. If it smells like a bullshit story and it looks like a bullshit story, most likely it's a bullshit story.

Now, instead of assuming ALL of those impossible or improbable things, you could alternatively just assume it was hydrogen sulfide - it would be more apt to be called a 'nasty odour', it would come in through the outside air intakes, it could easily be plentiful enough to sicken 68 people with exactly those symptoms, it would be invisible and create no haze, and the authorities would attempt to disguise a major hydrogen sulfide poisoning incident with some inane excuse like, say, pepper spray.

Which of the two above scenarios is more likely, the one they WANT you to believe, filled with improbabilities and impossibilities, or the one they don't even want you to consider because it's far more plausible? When they try to steer your thinking, it's best to be wary. And obviously they have to come up with SOME excuse that people will accept, at least gullible trusting people. In this case the excuse was pepper spray. They've used this excuse many times. As long as people will buy it, they'll keep on using it. But soon enough, it won't just be enough hydrogen sulfide to sicken a few dozen people - there will be piles of corpses. At that point they'll have to switch to an entirely different excuse which will probably be...'terrorists done it!'

Quote: "Homeowners reported the explosive noise literally shook their houses. Possible sonic booms from air craft in the area were discounted as the cause as there were no Air National Guard exercises ongoing at the time. Another cause could be the phenomena named "frost quakes," although those usually happen in much colder weather; however, there is also a moisture component to the freak winter events."

Note: Yeah, well, these mysterious explosions have been happening in the spring, summer and fall too, so there's no reason to think these current ones were caused by something different just because they happened in the winter. Whatever is causing these explosions - likely atmospheric explosions, since 'flashes of 'light' and 'sulfur smells' and smoke have been reported with some of them - is something that is happening year-round. This will be way more obvious once a few towns have been turned into charred craters...

2017-02-15 - Oceans losing oxygen, posing threats to marine (and non-marine) life:
http://www.nature.com/articles/nature21399.epdf
http://www.desdemonadespair.net/2017/02/global-ocean-de-oxygenation-quantified.html
http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/energy-environment/wp/2017/02/15/its-official-the-oceans-are-losing-oxygen-posing-growing-threats-to-marine-life/

Quote: "'When the upper ocean warms, less water gets down deep, and so therefore, the oxygen supply to the deep ocean is shut down or significantly reduced,' Schmidtko said."

Note: And the bottom of the oceans is where the ancient anaerobic bacteria and archaea live that produce hydrogen sulfide. And they don't like oxygen, so this is just wonderful news for them. This is what I said more than 5 years ago. It took them five years to ALMOST catch up to where I was 5+ years ago. (They still don't grok the full extent of the threat.) At this rate, by the time they realize what's actually happening, that another 'Great Dying' has begun ...we'll all be dead. In the meantime, the destruction of human civilization continues!

2017-02-15 - Hydrogen sulfide continues blowing through neighborhood in Plano (Texas):
http://dfw.cbslocal.com/2017/02/15/i-team-update-rotten-egg-odor-in-plano-neighborhood-not-a-health-risk/

Quote: "It turns out what neighbors are smelling is the potentially dangerous gas, hydrogen sulfide (H2S). However, after two weeks of testing, engineers found the levels of H2S were not high enough to be considered a health risk."

Note: Yeah, that's bullshit. First off, nobody knows what effects chronically breathing even low levels of hydrogen sulfide does to people. There've been no studies done. It would be hard to get volunteers for such studies even if it were legal, which it isn't. 'Say, we'd like to conduct a study to see what breathing low levels of a deadly neurotoxin does to people. Wanna sign up?!' Secondly, because it's a heavier-than-air gas, it settles into low-lying areas and it then concentrates. So if the levels are 'safe' on a rooftop monitoring unit, they might concentrate in the basement of that same building and be lethal. So there's never any 'safe' or 'benign' level. If you've got a deadly heavier-than-air neurotoxin blowing around, you've got a serious problem...

They mentioned then that this refinery has been plagued by a series of incidents in recent months, including a fire this past November, and I said then, "As long as this refinery remains on the coast, they're going to continue to be plagued by 'incidents'." And here we are, with another explosion and fire...

Sand Coulee Volunteer Fire Chief Blake Brawley says they received reports of the fire shortly after 3 p.m. Brawley says a fifth-wheel trailer was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived. Several pickup trucks and a power pole were also deemed a total loss due to damage from the fire."

Note: Things are getting mighty obvious. Also, just as more parked vehicles are going up in flames, the same is true of homes going up in flames with nobody there. Homes generally have all the same vulnerabilities as cars - electrified copper, rusty iron/steel, adsorbent flammable materials - so that makes sense. Expect that trend to continue and to worsen - more parked vehicles igniting and more unoccupied homes bursting into flame - at least for a while. Eventually there will be no more vehicles or homes left unburned and then no more vehicles or homes will burn - problem solved!

http://www.pressreader.com/uk/the-herald/20170225/281646779913964

Quote: "Microbes are generating a vast pool of marine methane that is contributing to global warming, a British team of scientists has confirmed. Scientists from Queen Mary, University of London, traced the source of methane in the tropical Pacific Ocean. Sediment collected from the ocean floor, where there is very little oxygen, revealed how bugs are creating the largest region of marine methane on Earth."

Note: And there are OTHER bugs - ancient anaerobic bacteria and archaea - that eat methane (or biomatter like dead stuff and sh#t) and produce hydrogen sulfide, so here's a huge amount of food for them...

2017-02-25 - Warming ocean temps could kill deep ocean life:
http://www.ibtimes.com/climate-change-warming-temperatures-could-kill-deep-ocean-life-forms-2100-2497147
http://insideclimatenews.org/news/07092016/oceans-climate-change-marine-global-warming-temperatures-study-coral-reef-bleaching

Note: Deep ocean life began dying and fleeing the depths off the Pacific Northwest as early as 2002, so this is already underway. And since then, virtually ever major coral reef on the planet has started dying. So this isn't some distant hypothetical possibility - it's already happening. And the ancient anaerobic bacteria and archaea that produce hydrogen sulfide LIKE warmer waters and lower oxygen levels, and they eat dead stuff, so not only are conditions becoming more favorable for them in terms of temperature and oxygen levels, but the dying stuff provides them a steady source of food, which they turn into poison gas, which kills more stuff, which provides more food, which creates more poison gas, and so on and so on...

2017-02-25 - Parts of the North Atlantic could suddenly cool and freeze Europe:

http://www.fasterthanexpected.com/2017/02/24/drastic-cooling-in-north-atlantic-beyond-worst-fears-scientists-warn/

Quote: "Current climate models foresee a slowing of the meridional overturning circulation (MOC), sometimes known also as the thermohaline circulation, which is the phenomenon behind the more familiar Gulf Stream that carries warmth from Florida to European shores. If it did slow, that could lead to a dramatic, unprecedented disruption of the climate system."

Note: Greenland is melting increasingly fast now, which dumps all kinds of cold fresh water into the Atlantic, which alters salinity, and that could also change the flow of the Gulf Stream. So they're not saying that the Earth is going to get colder. They're saying that the heat which would normally flow from the Gulf of Mexico over to Europe will be stalled and won't reach Europe  - so since that heat doesn't just disappear, where does it go? Wherever it goes, there will be serious problems there too: fish dying, oxygen loss in the waters, thawing of methane clathrates (like along the US East Coast), nuclear plants having to shut down because the ocean is too warm (that's already happened sporadically on the US East Coast in recent times), ancient anaerobic bacteria and archaea spewing more hydrogen sulfide, etc, etc.

2017-02-27 - Unknown odor sickens several dozen people at business park in Hanover Township (Pennsylvania):
http://hisz.rsoe.hu/alertmap/database/?pageid=event_desc&edis_id=HZ-20170228-57323-USA

Quote: "Complaints of a strong odor Monday inside a business park along Route 22 just north of Bethlehem caused 400 people to be evacuated and sent several dozen to area hospitals with complaints of nausea and vomiting. While emergency crews filled the parking lot at 90 S. Commerce Way with ambulances, firefighters combed through the building with hand-held air measuring units to try to track down the scent that caused a flurry of 911 calls, Northampton County dispatchers say. The building sits on 7.4 acres in Hanover Township, Northampton County, and as crews searched inside the building, evacuees outside complained of nausea and vomiting, with several sitting in a grassy area until paramedics could tend to them. The parking lot soon became a triage unit with different-colored tarps for potential victims to be laid out on. Officials said 31 people were taken to area hospitals for further evaluation, and UGI spokesman Joe Swope said 400 were evacuated from the building. But as of Monday evening, exactly what caused the odor remained a mystery, said Township Manager John Finnigan."

Note: Sounds similar to an event in June of 2014 when a large cloud of 'toxic gas of unknown origin' hit coastal Rayong (Thailand) in the wee hours, sending thousands of people puking and fleeing their homes, mentioned in the 2014-06-08 update. Nothing to worry about, just random areas around the planet being hit by poison gas. Well, nothing to worry about unless you're one of those don't-wanna-die kind of people...
