http://hisz.rsoe.hu/alertmap/site/index.php?pageid=event_desc&edis_id=VA-20150701-48946-GTM
Quote: "The volcano, 50 kilometers (30 miles) southeast of Guatemala City, was belching 'fiery clouds' over the course of the day, said David de Leon, a spokesman for the government's disaster response office. The danger warning issued by the government was one step short of a declaration of emergency requiring evacuation of the communities around the volcano. He said the mountain has been shaken by explosions that have rattled windows and rooftops and spewed columns of ash to some (5,000) 15,000 feet above sea level."

The strongest explosions caused loud cannon-shot like noises and produced abundant incandescent ejections that reached heights and distances of up to approx. 500 m from the crater. They were followed by glowing avalanches of blocks rolling down the sciara to the sea. On 3 occasions within 16 hours between the evening of 2 and morning of 3 July, unusually strong eruptions produced small pyroclastic flows triggered by collapsing material from the eruption and small parts of the crater rim."

Note: I read a science fiction novel in the 1970s or 1980s that postulated EXACTLY this method of propulsion: using lasers to hit chunks of deuterium and tritium, causing small nuclear explosions. Boeing has added a twist, in that their engine uses the resulting heat to power the lasers. I think the novel was The Jupiter Theft, from 1977, by Donald Moffitt. He died in 2014 so he didn't get to see the very propulsion method he postulated getting patented by Boeing. Dredging this book up from my memory banks was no easy task - that was 38 years ago!

http://www.sott.net/article/298895-Kazakhstan-sleeping-sickness-mystery-solved-Uranium-mine-is-the-culprit
Note: They try to implicate carbon monoxide, but they mention 'other gases' too. It couldn't have been carbon monoxide for the same reason that all the carbon monoxide emitted by cars doesn't cause the same problems in every city in the world that uses cars: carbon monoxide is a lighter-than-air gas. That's why carbon monoxide detectors go on ceilings. So once carbon monoxide exits the mine, it'll head up to the ceiling, which in this case is the sky. They mention methane. Methane is also a lighter-than-air gas. They mention 'hydrocarbon'. That's where you find hydrogen sulfide, since it's produced by bacteria and archaea that eat, among other things, methane. Natural gas from the ground contains hydrogen sulfide and so does oil - that's what refineries do: they 'de-sour' gas and oil and take the hydrogen sulfide and other impurities out. And hydrogen sulfide not only could cause all the symptoms this village experienced, but it's a heavier-than-air gas and once it escaped from the mine, it might very well blow over the village and contaminate the water, the ground, the peoples' clothes and buildings, and get breathed in too. So this town of people afflicted by memory-loss, long-duration sleep and hallucinations - that looks like what you see when you have a population that gets hit by low-level hydrogen sulfide over a long period of time. A gas-emitting mine in the area does explain why it was THIS village that was having problems...

Note: That's what I've been saying all along. And where did that big heat 'blob' come from off the US northwest? No way was that caused by only solar radiation. So that heat, at least a lot of it, also had to come from below, likely from volcanic activity in the oceans, like that volcano that erupted off the coast of Oregon recently...

Currently, the volcano is most dangerous for ships and boats since the gases released by Kick 'em Jenny can lower the density of the water causing them to sink even if it is not erupting. For this reason there is an exclusion zone around the summit of the Kick 'em Jenny."

Note: They seem to be missing the fact that it no longer matters what we do - the oceans aren't going to stop spewing methane, and that alone will wipe human civilization off the surface of the Earth. Also, as time goes on, more and more of that methane will be turned into deadly, reactive and explosively flammable hydrogen sulfide by the ancient anaerobic bacteria and archaea that eat methane and produce hydrogen sulfide. So, it's Plan B or die. Nothing is going to alter those options...
