Event Update For 2014-02-21

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

Category: Other Stories Of Interest
2014-02-21 - 'Rotten smell' blows over the city of Meriden (Connecticut), starting at 4:30 AM:
Quote: "City crews are trying to determine the source of a rotten smell that permeated the air throughout the city Friday. Fire officials said two engines were sent to find the origin of a rotting, organic smell in the downtown area after calls started coming into the city around 4:30 a.m. People initially reported the smell of natural gas, but authorities said they have ruled out gas."
Quote: "Visitors on the Record-Journal Facebook page reported the odor as far south as Center Street in Wallingford."
Note: As mentioned, people will confuse the 'rotten egg' smell of hydrogen sulfide at low concentrations with the 'rotten egg' smell of mercaptan, which is added to odorless natural gas so that it has any smell at all. They ruled out natural gas, so this was VERY likely a cloud of hydrogen sulfide hitting this city. Also, the wee hours are when the atmosphere cools and contracts, which will push any hydrogen sulfide or methane floating in the air above closer to the ground. Hydrogen sulfide is as deadly as hydrogen cyanide, which is what they use to execute people in gas chambers. The 'good' news is that people did smell it and they didn't clutch their chests or throats as they died, which means it wasn't highly concentrated, this time. The bad news is that it's a heavier-than-air gas so it will now tend to flow into low-lying areas and become more concentrated, like basements, underground facilities, sewers, etc.

2014-02-21 - Basement explosion and odor causes evacuation of apartment building in Lakewood (Colorado):

Quote: "It was 37 degrees around 5 a.m. when residents of an apartment building at 788 South Reed Ct. in Lakewood were evacuated from their building because of an odor of natural gas and a 'whomping' noise, according to the West Metro Fire Protection District. Firefighters reported a strong odor of natural gas and witnessed three explosions in the furnace room..."

Note: By 'odor of natural gas', they actually mean the 'rotten egg' odor of mercaptan, which is added to otherwise odorless natural gas so that it HAS a smell. Like the people in Meriden, they may have mistaken the smell of hydrogen sulfide for that of mercaptan. Hydrogen sulfide is a heavier-than-air gas, so it will tend to accumulate in basements, which is where these explosions occurred. What happens when an extremely flammable gas like hydrogen sulfide accumulates and finds a heat source, like, say, an apartment furnace? Explosion(s), fire, or both. It's also corrosive and will corrode concrete and steel, which will CAUSE actual natural gas leaks. In short, they'll never really know for sure what caused this event...

2014-02-21 - Underground electrical fire erupts in coastal Manhattan (New York):
