Event Update For 2014-02-11

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

Category: Fires And Explosions
2014-02-11 - Update on ball-bearing plant explosion in Peterborough (New Hampshire): caused by nitric acid:
Note: A nitric acid fire hit a chemical plant in December 2013 in Tulsa (Oklahoma), mentioned in the 2013-12-19 update. A nitric acid explosion recently damaged a business too, in November 2013, in Falls Township (Pennsylvania), injuring 2 people, as mentioned in the 2013-11-07 update. Nitric acid isn't terribly dangerous by itself. However, if any gaseous hydrogen sulfide meets liquid nitric acid then the result can be an explosion and/or fire. I mentioned this problem a few months back, when a beaker exploded in a chemistry lab in coastal Boca Raton (Florida), in the 2013-11-04 update. I'll quote myself: "Hydrogen sulfide is explosively reactive with numerous chemicals. Leave an open beaker of, say, nitric acid laying around and if any hydrogen sulfide blows in through a window or AC system...boom!"
2014-02-11 - Metal recycling plant destroyed by blaze in Blue Grass (Iowa), near Davenport, school evacuated:
Quote: "Officials say the flames got so high they had to evacuate students at a nearby elementary school. Smoke from the fire could be seen from more than three miles away."
Quote: "A hazmat team is inspecting a creek to see if any dangerous chemicals got in. That creek is about a half block away from the fire."
Note: From the full hypothesis: "Metal-related businesses will be hit hard, including salvage yards and metal recycling centers."

Quote: "The sinking has been kept very quiet until now, with rumours but no facts circulating in dive industry circles."

Note: Interesting, and some rare decent journalism here. Sounds like 'someone' doesn't want people to realize how many boats are burning up nowadays. Might hurt tourism and all that. Of course, the fires themselves may hurt or kill actual TOURISTS, but that may be secondary to some people...

2014-02-11 - In two 'separate' incidents, within 3 minutes, three boats burn while docked in Washington DC:

The the other fire was reported three minutes later and about two miles away next to the Washington Navy Yard on Water Street, Southeast. Two boats caught fire in the second incident."

Quote: "Looking at where the bulk of the fire load was, it's obviously something to do with the rear axle or possibly the brakes of the truck."

Note: From the full hypothesis: "Massive vehicles such as big RVs, buses, tanker trucks, tractor trailers, dump trucks, and car-haulers will be destroyed by fire in escalating numbers after tires or brakes ignite."
