Event Update For 2014-02-14

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

Category: Fires And Explosions
2014-02-14 - Underground fire erupts in potash mine near Vanscoy (Canada), more than 50 miners trapped:
Quote: "The site’s general manager, Mike Dirham, said the fire started on a scoop tram, which is a type of underground loader. Dirham said the tram has a fire suppression system, but he says it couldn’t extinguish the flames."
Note: So a vehicle of a sort burst into flame in an underground area. That sounds very familiar. Oh yeah, a salt truck burst into flame underground at a nuclear waste repository near Carlsbad (New Mexico), as mentioned in the 2014-02-05 update...
2014-02-14 - Underground explosion and fire hits water treatment plant in coastal Tuen Mun (China), 3 injured:
2014-02-14 - Underground electrical fire evacuates US Bank building in downtown St. Louis (Missouri), near the Mississippi River:
Quote: "The Fire Department said the fire was in an underground electrical vault. Around 12:35 p.m., smoke rose from the ground near the building. Employees exited an adjacent parking garage in droves."
Quote: "An underground transformer exploded and caught fire in front of the building last June."
2014-02-14 - Underground electrical fire erupts in coastal Brooklyn (New York), 2 churchgoers sickened:
Note: They're trying to blame all these underground electrical fires and explosions on salt from salting the roads. Funny how these fires and explosions were happening BEFORE the first snowfall, and funny how nowhere NEAR this number of underground fires and explosions happened last winter, when there was also snowfall and salting of roads. Is the salt mutating and causing the core of the Earth to heat up? (Heh, 2012 movie reference, not actually serious about mutating salt.)
2014-02-14 - Underground electrical explosion and fire breaks out near school in Corona (New York), school evacuated:
Note: Hydrogen sulfide is a heavier-than-air gas, it is explosively flammable and highly reactive, particularly with rusty iron/steel and electrified copper, so it will cause serious problems with underground facilities of all kinds. Fires like these have been escalating, especially in the last year. Things will certainly get much worse...

2014-02-14 - Van bursts into flame at 5 AM while parked on North Road West in coastal Plymouth (Britain):

Note: They probably think it's arson simply because it was a parked vehicle igniting. Wee hours, near the coast, so I need more evidence of people being involved than they've presented (which, incidentally, is none)...

2014-02-14 - Van bursts into flame at 1 AM on road near Otjiwarongo in coastal Namibia:

Selangor Fire and Rescue department operations assistant director Mohd Sani Harul, citing witnesses said the purple Proton Exora burst into flames while it was parked just outside the hospital at around 4pm Friday."

Quote: "We were told that people went to look at the burning car and rushed over to help when they saw two children who were trapped inside. They must have been left there while the driver went to settle something..."

Note: A 5-year-old boy just burned to death when a parked truck burst into flame in Wujin District (China), as mentioned in the 2014-02-12 update. If you leave your kids in a vehicle, whether it's running or not, you face a growing risk of them burning to death. I will probably repeat that warning as more children get incinerated, because I'm one of those don't-like-to-see-children-incinerated kind of people...

2014-02-14 - Car bursts into flame while parked at auto auction business in the Town of Newstead (New York):

2014-02-14 - Barn destroyed by fire on Harbor Lane in Smith (Kentucky):

Quote: "Burkhart said there was no electricity in the barn, so she believes the fire was the work of an arsonist."

Note: Clearly Burkhart has not been living on Planet Earth, where barns without electricity (and homes) have been spontaneously igniting at an escalating rate for quite some time...

2014-02-14 - Barn and 150 tons of hay destroyed by fire in Margaretting (Britain):

Quote: "The family had been trying to get by since last fall, when the children’s mother, Kim Davis, died of heart failure at age 31, leaving her longtime partner, Lewis, to care for them alone."

Note: And Lewis suffered a stroke and has seizures. So a woman drops dead at 31, man strokes out and has seizures, and a deadly fire kills 5 people in the wee hours, all in one year. Hydrogen sulfide could very well explain ALL of that...

2014-02-14 - Vacant home destroyed by fire in Monroe Township (Michigan):

Note: Calpella is right next to Lake Mendocino...

2014-02-14 - In separate incidents, 3 people found dead in Madison County (Illinois), all blamed on overdose:

Note: APPARENT overdose. 'Drug paraphernalia' mentioned. Like what, a roach clip and a doobie? In any case, using drugs doesn't make one immune to hydrogen sulfide (alas), and they're certainly not mutually exclusive. I mentioned some time ago that in order to hide the fact that people are dropping dead, they would end up using 'drug overdose' as an excuse when the bodies have no sign of trauma. Also, one of these deaths was in Roxana, where a woman, 42, slumped over dead in a U-Haul truck just a few days prior, as mentioned in the 2014-02-08 update. All of Madison County is just east (downwind) of the Mississippi River. Look for yourself...

2014-02-14 - Dump truck veers across median, hits pickup head-on, in Balch Springs (Texas), 2 killed:

Quote: "A witness told KXAS-TV (NBC5) that the dump truck was headed north when it crossed the median and struck the southbound pickup. The dump truck than tipped over on its side and ignited a grass fire."

Note: These crashes scare me the most. You're driving along and all of a sudden there's a big ass truck heading right for you, out of nowhere. You can't count on other drivers (or yourself) staying conscious anymore, so crashes like this can happen to anyone at any time...

2014-02-14 - Car veers over centerline, hits semi head-on, near Chalk River (Canada), 2 killed:

Skylar Dossenbach, the victim's daughter, said the animal then knocked her father to the ground and stomped on him. 'Apparently, the camel knocked him down, bit him and had him by the head on the ground and was kicking him,' described Dossenbach. Dossenbach said neighbors saw the commotion and came to help, but the camel turned and chased them away. She said they had to get in their car and drive away to escape being attacked."

2014-02-14 - Doctors fear kids' brain disorders tied to industrial chemicals:

Quote: "One in 88 children is currently diagnosed with autism, up 600 per cent in the past 20 years. In the U.S., the diagnosis rate for ADHD has skyrocketed by more than 50 per cent in the past decade."

Note: Hydrogen sulfide is neurotoxic and will harm brains, particularly the developing brains of children. It's an industrial chemical, though it is also produced biogenically (which is the primary concern) and it is released geologically as well. The more the world's atmosphere becomes contaminated with methane and hydrogen sulfide, the more that peoples' neurologies will deteriorate, and such deterioration, especially in children, has been on the rise for some years...

2014-02-14 - Toxic blue-green algae (cyanobacteria) outbreak hits the Selwyn River (New Zealand):

2014-02-14 - Toxic blue-green algae (cyanobacteria) outbreak hits Walka Water Works and three lagoons (Australia):

  1. Hi Jonny, I've been following your blog for many weeks now. The Northern Hemisphere is 4+ months from the longest (warmest) day of the year. Do you think Cathrate releases will escalate as the weather warms up? Thanks, PeterC.

    1. Well, this is one of those types of problems that escalates, peaks, then diminishes, over a long period of time. So I think the clathrate releases will accelerate regardless of what the season may be. Will some of that acceleration be caused by summer coming? My best guess would be yes, a little, but possibly so little that if it were subtracted from the escalation caused by the passing of time then you might not even notice the difference, if you could compare. I'd say one thing is certain: things aren't going to get BETTER by summer. Heh.
