Event Update For 2013-03-19

Full Hypothesis

Summary of Hypothesis

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

2013-03-19 - Homes shake from mysterious tremors over widespread area in coastal areas in New Jersey:
Quote: "Just after 3 o'clock Tuesday afternoon residents in Atlantic, Cape May, and Cumberland counties say they felt multiple earthquake-like tremors that rattled their homes and offices."
Quote: "After initial reports of the shakes came in, NBC40 put the word out on Facebook to see who else felt it. Immediately we received hundreds of responses from all over South Jersey."
Quote: "It just felt like it was more underground. Then I looked and saw the things on the shelf had moved."
Note: These weren't huge tremors, nothing violent. This could be the consequence of underlying methane clathrate deposits dissociating. As those deposits transform from a solid to liquid (water) and gas (methane), the ground above may experience subsidence, as with the sinkholes forming in Louisiana and Florida. There has to be at least some possibility of large sections of coastal areas simply crumbling away or sloughing off into the ocean. Hopefully that won't happen, but events like this are anything but reassuring. What happens if an entire city suddenly tips a few degrees and slides into the ocean?
There is a map of that area, right on the edge of the East Coast. We already know that methane deposits OFF the East Coast are dissociating. How about deposits ON or UNDER the East Coast? Is anyone monitoring that? Because they should be, considering the possible consequences, like the loss of large sections of the Eastern Seaboard. Maybe that's why the evacuation signs along the East Coast started appearing last year. Authorities might not want to alarm anyone early, but if a major city disappears into the ocean then people will almost certainly begin to SELF-evacuate, possibly chaotically, if evacuation is not done in more organized fashion.
In the meantime, I guess all we can do is hope that this unexplained event was caused by something innocuous and that nothing else of consequence happens...

Note: Or, he fell unconscious while near his vehicle, consequently didn't get up, and thus died of hypothermia. As I've said a number of times, if you breathe in a whiff of hydrogen sulfide and fall unconscious, WHERE you fall unconscious can determine your fate. 2013-03-19 - Woman, 59, has 'cardiac event', heart stops, while driving over the Flagler Memorial Bridge (Florida), resuscitated:

Quote: "The woman is a West Palm Beach resident who works on the island..."

Note: Florida again, downwind of the dead zones in the Gulf of Mexico, on a bridge going over water. Say, a bridge over water in Florida is also where the original face-eater went from normal guy to savage cannibal in half an hour. Hydrogen sulfide won't always turn people into neuro-zombies. In fact, that's probably going to be fairly rare. More often it will simply stop your heart and you'll fall down dead...
