Event Update For 2013-03-02

Full Hypothesis

Summary of Hypothesis

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

Prediction A - More Fires and Explosions, Especially Coastal

2013-03-02 - Mysterious 'light from the sky' ignites fire on the island of Tasmania (Australia):

Quote: "Early Saturday morning police and fire crews received calls from concerned residents in Carnegie Street at Claremont, who reported seeing a bright light igniting a fire in a nearby paddock."

Note: That may have been an atmospheric gas plume - hydrogen sulfide or methane or both - igniting as the plume reached the ground, then burning upward (what they call 'flashback'). Or it may have ignited in the sky above via static electricity or lightning and burned down through a tendril of gas that had extended to the ground...

2013-03-02 - Massive pile of around 200 recycled cars bursts into flame in suburb of coastal Perth (Australia):

Note: Hydrogen sulfide is reactive with rusty iron/steel, no flame or spark needed for ignition. There have been many fires like this, some just 'piles of metal' igniting. There is no other rational explanation for piles of metal igniting. They say this fire involved 'around' 200 vehicles. The current record for most vehicles burning stands at 200, which were RVs, boats and collector cars, which burned up in a huge fire at a storage facility in Mishawaka (Indiana), as mentioned in the 2013-02-11 update, so that record still stands...

2013-03-02 - Tanker truck bursts into flame on seaside highway in coastal Lagos (Nigeria):

2013-03-02 - Tanker truck bursts into flame on Highway 78 in Marshall County (Mississippi):

Note: This fire began with the tires igniting and/or exploding. As mentioned, tire rubber is somewhat absorbent and it is absorbing hydrogen sulfide and/or methane, probably the former because hydrogen sulfide is a heavier-than-air gas and tires rest on the ground. Then when brakes are applied, the brake-friction produces more heat than it normally would (since hydrogen sulfide burns very hot) and then bad things happen: brakes burn up, tires ignite or explode or both, brake lines or hydraulic lines or power steering lines rupture and leak, the vehicle itself catches fire and burns up, or all of the above. This affects large vehicles the most, like tankers and buses and tractor trailers, because they involve large amounts of mass, which means more brake-friction is required to slow the vehicle and thus there is more chance that this problem will manifest...

The bus-related events tend to get the most news coverage simply because they're big vehicles and there are often other people involved who witness the event. The events where one person is driving a vehicle and loses consciousness, crashes into a tree and dies - that kind of story often just gets some local news, if even that.
