Event Update For 2020-10-03

http://jumpingjackflashhypothesis.blogspot.com/2012/02/jumping-jack-flash-hypothesis-its-gas.html

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

2020-10-03 - Mysterious explosions shake homes across wide area in coastal Escambia County (Florida):

Quote: "Heard it in Barrineau Park, a series of explosions and the house shook."

Quote: "I was doing yard work and definitely felt this today so did my daughter who was swinging on her play set called my mother at 2:02 to see if she felt it at her home in McDavid Very unusual booms I’d say maybe three to four consecutive assumed it was a wreck or someone clearing land close by you can never tell anymore"

Note: Multiple explosions so not a sonic boom and not a meteor and USGS says no earthquakes...

2020-10-03 - Megafire grows to 136,840 acres after spreading from Wyoming into Colorado, 29 homes destroyed:
http://denver.cbslocal.com/2020/10/03/mullen-fire-wyoming-cameron-peak/

Quote: "The Mullen Fire overgrew the Cameron Peak Fire on Friday. Fire officials say the fire is now 136,840 acres in size and 6% contained. The fire has destroyed 29 homes and 31 other structures since it started Sept. 17 in the Savage Run Wilderness in Wyoming. The cause is under investigation."

2020-10-03 - Wildfire grows to 63,450 acres in Sonoma County and Napa County (California), 800 buildings destroyed:

http://www.kcra.com/article/california-glass-fire-october-3/34259018

Quote: "The destructive Glass Fire, which has been burning in Napa and Sonoma counties for nearly a week, has charred at least 63,450 acres and is only 15% contained, Cal Fire said Saturday. Firefighters continue to face high heat, gusty winds, low humidities and rugged terrain. Thick smoke has also largely grounded the air attack. The flames have destroyed at least 800 structures and damaged around 100 others, according to Cal Fire."

2020-10-03 - Wildfire burns along Oaky Creek Road and threatens coastal Cooktown (Australia), Australian wildfires starting a month early:

http://www.thebigwobble.org/2020/10/california-has-suffered-its-worse.html

Quote: "An emergency warning has been issued for a large, dangerous and uncontrolled bushfire threatening Cooktown in Far North Queensland. Queensland Fire and Emergency Services advised at 6pm the blaze was travelling on both sides of Oaky Creek Road, saying leaving immediately was the safest option as it would soon be too dangerous to drive."

Note: That's the same trend as in the US: the fires are starting earlier and ending later. Once the end overlaps with the start, it will be an endless series of fires that just burn on and on. They'll still be burning long after the last human being on the planet has died...

  1. Hey Jonny, all - these global wildfires are combining with flooding and lack of fish in the oceans to really hit the food supply hard. It won't be long now before it all goes to shit.

Predictions of a dystopian landscape awaiting us in the near future may be incorrect due to the up-coming food shortages. i assume the powers that be will take action before hand to lock us all down and administer their deadly vaccines laced with micro-chips so they can keep track of everyone (who's left), but once the food is gone (and by that i mean that no body is able to grow enough to export) it will be chaos and death for most. Whoever is left will be fighting for the scraps. People in bunkers are only prolonging the agony. When ya can't grow anything to eat and supplies are dwindling, there comes a time when one can see the end rapidly approaching.

Our former life-styles will be a distant fond memory as holidays and vacations vanish along with pets, warmth, peace and lack of hunger, safety and medicine.

15 Signs That America’s Economic Depression Is Accelerating As We Head Toward The Holiday Season
    http://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/archives/15-signs-that-americas-economic-depression-is-accelerating-as-we-head-toward-the-holiday-season

#1 All 546 Regal Cinema theaters in the United States are being shut down, and right now there is no timetable for reopening them.

#2 It is being reported that AMC Entertainment (the largest movie theater chain in the U.S.) will “run out of liquidity” in 6 months.

#3 Over the weekend, I was told by someone that works in the industry that he expects most movie theaters in the country to eventually close down permanently because of this pandemic.

#4 The average rent on a one bedroom apartment in San Francisco is 20.3 percent lower than it was one year ago.

#5 During the 3rd quarter, the number of vehicles delivered by General Motors was down about 10 percent from a year ago.

#6 It is being reported that Anheuser-Busch will be laying off 400 employees in Loveland, Denver, Littleton and Colorado Springs.

#7 Allstate has just announced that they will be laying off 3,800 workers.

#8 JCPenney says that it will be cutting approximately 15,000 jobs as we approach the holiday shopping season.

#9 At least one-fourth of the 28,000 layoffs that Disney will be conducting will happen in Florida.

#10 Collectively, American Airlines and United Airlines let 32,000 employees go last week.

#11 On Thursday, we learned that another 787,000 Americans filed new claims for unemployment benefits during the previous week.

#12 Overall, more than 60 million Americans have filed new claims for unemployment benefits so far in 2020. That number is far higher than anything we have ever seen before in all of U.S. history.

#13 Retail store closings in the United States continue to surge along at a pace that is absolutely unprecedented.

#14 Bankruptcy filings in New York City have risen 40 percent so far in 2020.

#15 This number is hard to believe, but it is being reported that almost 90 percent of New York City bar and restaurant owners couldn’t pay their full rent for the month of August.

None of this was supposed to happen. [more]

History Repeating! Thousands of short-tailed shearwaters fail to arrive at Victorian breeding ground for second year running as experts fear the little migratory shorebird colony have died during their 16,000km journey due to lack of fish in the Pacific
    http://www.thebigwobble.org/2020/10/history-repeating-thousands-of-short.html

Bird experts are concerned after a migratory shorebird colony failed to arrive in south-east Australia in time for the start of the breeding season for the second straight year. The short-tailed shearwater, or muttonbird, is one of Australia's most common and hardy birds.

Known for their endurance and accuracy, the birds usually arrive along Victoria's south-east coast to breed within 48 hours of September 22, however, for the first time ever they failed to show last year and it's happened again this year.

    https://www.sott.net/article/442356-Tomato-production-fell-20-due-to-the-intense-heat-in-July-in-Extremadura-Spain

The president of Acopaex, Domingo Fernandez, said that 2.1 million tons had been contracted but that they would collect 500,000 fewer tons.

After the last few years of good harvests, the production has suffered; not only in Extremadura, but also in other producing territories such as Andalusia, Portugal, or Italy. Producers are worried about this situation, especially because they won't have enough tomatoes to be profitable, as prices have been very tight for years. [more]

The coronavirus pandemic has sparked a rush for plastic.

From Wuhan to New York, demand for face shields, gloves, takeaway food containers and bubble wrap for online shopping has surged. Since most of that cannot be recycled, so has the waste.

But there is another consequence. The pandemic has intensified a price war between recycled and new plastic, made by the oil industry. It's a war recyclers worldwide are losing, price data and interviews with more than two dozen businesses across five continents show. [more]

Oil rebounds on Trump health update, Norway shutdowns
    https://www.yahoo.com/news/oil-rises-more-1-upbeat-015124683.html

Oil prices rose on Monday, lifted by comments from doctors for U.S. President Donald Trump suggesting he could be discharged from hospital as soon as Monday, just a few days after his positive coronavirus test sparked widespread alarm.

Brent was up $1.20, or 3.1%, to $40.47 a barrel by 0925 GMT. U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude was $1.26, or 3.4%, higher at $38.31 a barrel.

"This bout of strength is unlikely to have the legs to withstand the growing pile of unknowns. After all, the oil market is trapped in an unending cycle of uncertainty," said Stephen Brennock of oil broker PVM.

Prices slumped more than 4% on Friday following Trump's diagnosis. However, he made a surprise appearance on Sunday in a motorcade outside the hospital where he is being treated, which helped improve market sentiment. [more]

Investigators probe 'possible ecological catastrophe' in Russia's far east
    https://www.yahoo.com/news/investigators-probe-possible-ecological-catastrophe-160400123.html

Russian investigators said Saturday they were looking into “a possible ecological catastrophe” in the eastern Kamchatka region, after scores of dead sea creatures washed up in one of it bays and surfers reported burns to their eyes and throats.

Images of dead seals, octopi, starfish and urchins on the Khalaktyrsky Beach in the Avacha Bay have been shared on social media for several days.

Surfers in the area have also complained that the sea had an unnatural smell and color.

Local government in the region, which is known for its pristine beaches and volcanic black sand, shared a video of one surfer, Anton Morozov, on Sunday.

He said a number of surfers have suffered chemical burns to their eyes, adding that he had not seen anything like it in 15 years. [more; cue Tom Lehrer song, Pollution]

  7. Want to Live Longer? Get Out Of These 30 Most Polluted Cities in the US
    https://www.yahoo.com/news/want-live-longer-30-most-141358111.html

The absolute pollution figures might point at the US being one of the top polluters in the world, with over 5,145.2 million tons of carbon emissions according to the 2019 BP Statistical Review of World Energy.

    27. St. Louis, MO-IL

    PM 2.5 - 10.5

    PM 10 - 99

St. Louis’ pollution levels are slightly higher than the limits specified by WHO and therefore poses risks in the long-term. PM 2.5 and PM 10 are the main pollutants.

    8. Pittsburgh, PA [glad i live on the other side of PA]

    PM 2.5 – 12.1

    PM 10 – 86

Pittsbugh has ranked among the worst regions for air quality by American Lung Association. Many areas in the region perform poorly in the annual daily soot and ozone levels.

    1. Fairbanks, AK

    PM 2.5 – 15.5

    PM 10 – 200

Surprisingly even with lower ozone level, overall pollution levels are detrimentally high in the Fairbanks. The main cause of pollution in the region is due to high numbers of woodfire burning in the winters. The high levels of particle pollution unfortunately earns Fairbanks the no.1 spot for the most polluted cities in the US. [more]

A pattern described by computer science icon and polymath Alan Turing continues to show up in new scientific research 70 years later. The “Turing pattern” is a widespread phenomenon where noisy systems form stable patterns after being stimulated. The latest example is in “symmetrically spaced” patches of desert grasses, which grow in naturally orderly equilibrium to maximize each patch’s access to limited water.
