Event Update For 2020-10-02

http://jumpingjackflashhypothesis.blogspot.com/2012/02/jumping-jack-flash-hypothesis-its-gas.html

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

Quote: "The smell is described a lot of ways. 'Bleach mixed with pesticide mixed with perfume,' described Eaker. 'Cleaner but it almost has licorice,' said Roberts."

Note: At low concentrations, hydrogen sulfide smells like 'rotten eggs', but at higher concentrations some people say it smells 'sweet' or 'flowery' or like licorice. At VERY high concentrations (1 part per thousand or more) it smells like...well, nobody knows, because everyone who smells it at very high concentrations dies...

  1. As per your last statement in today's post: you could say the same for Trump!

There's no doubt that Covid-19 can infect people, causing no symptoms, mild symptoms, or intense trouble (requiring hospitalizations), but is still think the numbers are WAY off regarding infections and deaths due to the complete clusterfuck in the way it was handled, the so-called "testing" and the rates (based on said faulty testing). I don't believe locking down does any good, or that the HARM it causes is much worse. I still wear my mask when going into stores, because it's required, but other than that, i don't wear it.

Whatever - we'll be extinct before we know it. This is but another obstacle, which, like the wildfires, exploding methane craters, and the super storms, will be back to revisit us along the way out.

L A T E S T .. September 2020 Payroll Employment Improvement Continued to Decelerate Sharply in an Unfolding “L”-Shaped Economic Recovery, While the Headline Unemployment Rate Was Understated for the Seventh Straight Month (October 2nd, Bureau of Labor Statistics).

The drop in the Labor Force likely reflects lost unemployed who have just dropped out of the system or are being missed in government surveying. Fully accounted for, those missing unemployed people would push headline September unemployment up to 10.6%, versus the headline 7.9%. Separately, for the seventh straight month, the BLS acknowledged continued misclassification of some “unemployed” persons as “employed,” in the Household Survey. An estimated “upside limit” of 773,000 persons were indicated as “employed,” who more properly should have been counted as “unemployed,” reducing a potential September 2020 U.3 headline unemployment rate of 8.3% to the published 7.9% (7.86%). That was down from a similarly distorted headline U.3 unemployment rate of 8.42% in August. [moon; read on - it's all lies from the gummint]

"The results reveal that a significant reduction of virus viability occurs when both high temperature and low relative humidity occur," the authors wrote in the paper's abstract. "The droplet cloud's traveled distance and concentration remain significant at any temperature if the relative humidity is high, which is in contradiction with what was previously believed by many epidemiologists." Smoke choking California again as dangerous fire conditions continue
    https://www.yahoo.com/news/more-dangerous-fire-conditions-expected-235247578.html

Dr Gina Solomon, a principle investigator for the Public Health Institute in San Francisco, says chronic exposure to the unsafe conditions takes a toll on lung capacity – and can have long term consequences.

“Not only is this happening year after year, but it is happening week after week and month after month, for a significant portion of the year. What this means is it is more likely there will be long-term effects on people’s health,” she says. For children, that means their lung function may fail to increase each year, as it should, and adults will see declining lung capacity at a steeper slope.

“We might have made it to age 80 feeling good and not getting short of breath when climbing a hill – now we may only make it to age 75,” she says. “It is insidious, it is subtle – but it is very worrisome.” [more; nobody born today is going to live very long]

    http://www.fasterthanexpected.com/2020/10/01/wildlife-species-being-threatened-by-continued-wildfires-in-the-western-us/

Biologists estimate that the wildfires already killed 50% of Washington’s pygmy rabbits, which are endangered species. Their habitats are the sagebrush flats which were destroyed. Scientists think that roughly 50 of these rabbits, the smallest in North America, are still alive.

The flames are also believed to have decimated 30 to 70 per cent of Washington’s sharp-tailed grouse and sage grouse, who are also dependent on the sagebrush flats.

the white-headed woodpecker’s pine forest habitat is also in danger. The same is true for the oak and pine forests of northern Mexico and Southwest US, home of Grace’s warbler.

New Mexico has also seen the smoke of the fires may cause thousands of scattered dead birds, which researchers speculate. They may have succumbed to respiratory ailments.

Antarctic Peninsula at warmest in decades: study
    https://robinwestenra.blogspot.com/2020/10/antarctic-peninsula-at-warmest-in.html

The year 2020 is the hottest in the Antarctic Peninsula in the past three decades, a study by the University of Santiago de Chile out Friday found

Between January and August, temperatures reached between 2 and 3 degrees Celsius (35.6 and 37.4 degrees Fahrenheit) on the peninsula, which is the northernmost part of mainland Antarctica, according to researchers at the Chilean Air Force's Frei Base on King George Island.

Those temperatures are "more than 2 degrees Celsius over typical values," climatologist Raul Cordero said in a statement released by the Chilean Antarctic Institute (INACH).

"In the far northern tip of the Antarctic Peninsula, the average maximum temperature so far this year has been above 0 degrees. This had not happened for 31 years," Cordero added.

The high Southern Hemisphere winter temperatures are in contrast, however, with those registered between August and September, which reached -16.8 degrees Celsius, the lowest since 1970. [more; this is where SOTT would put emphasis]
