The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

Every day it seems we read headlines that connect science denialism to cruel indifference and death. Just recently, when talking about the initial COVID-19 response, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi asserted that ”[Trump’s] denial at the beginning was deadly.” In Arizona, some residents called their Republican governor’s refusal to issue a stay-at-home order “a sick experiment.” And in Brazil, President Jair Bolsonaro showed some of the most ignorant denialism with the bizarre claim that Brazilians don’t catch anything, saying: “You see a guy jumping into sewage, diving in, right? Nothing happens to him.” And this while cases in Brazil were in the thousands and deaths were approaching 100.
Science denialism has reared its head before, most notably in response to the climate crisis and in the anti-vaccine movement. But in those cases, mainstream headlines rarely link denialism to death and “sick” cruelty. And when they do, the headlines readily invite charges of alarmism, fearmongering and doomsday extremism. Before Bayer acquired Monsanto, the GMO giant had a reputation for faking the science and either bribing or threatening journalists to run stories touting its fake science, usually to claim GMOs were safe or that glyphosate was harmless.
Monsanto would fund its own slanted studies — often by bribing universities with grant money — then pay off scientists to slap their names on these ghostwritten science papers. Once the fake science got published, Monsanto would lean on journalists in Forbes.com and other publications to write up fake news glorifying their fake science.
Now, the Wall Street Journal is doing much the same thing with Stanford researchers, faking the science about covid-19 in order to deceive America, falsely claiming the coronavirus has already infected 55 times more people than currently believed, concluding that the case fatality rate is therefore very low.

Based on forward charts at least 40% of US oil producers are headed for bankruptcy.
Inquiring minds are diving into the Kansas City Fed Energy Survey by Chad Wilkerson, to get a better grip on problems facing oil producers. The results are grim.
“District energy activity fell sharply during the first quarter of 2020, with our index dropping to its lowest level since we began the survey in early 2014,” said Wilkerson. “Expectations for future activity also fell to their lowest level since late 2014, as most firms do not expect energy prices to return to profitable levels this year.”
Fed Bailout Not Possible
Some readers suggested the Fed would bail out the sector. It cannot. There is no place to store the oil if the Fed bought futures and I do not believe the Fed would even if it could.
