Event Update For 2019-01-19

http://jumpingjackflashhypothesis.blogspot.com/2012/02/jumping-jack-flash-hypothesis-its-gas.html

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

Quote: "Several passengers started to 'turn green' and complain they were 'suffocating' while the illness made its way through rows 21 and 26 in the economy cabin, The Sun reported. One passenger, Ilya Brinder, told TV360 that the sick passengers had 'greatly dilated pupils.' 'All of them had greatly dilated pupils. They were suffocating. The flight attendants were in panic, and the aircraft captain decided to make an emergency landing in Volgograd.'"

Note: Just some people going into respiratory arrest, nothing to see here, move along!

2019-01-19 - Researchers find cooling effect of aerosols in cumulus and MSC clouds twice as high as thought:
http://phys.org/news/2019-01-cooling-effect-aerosols-cumulus-msc.html
http://robinwestenra.blogspot.com/2019/01/aerosol-masking-effect-underestimated.html

Quote: "It also shows that the heating effect of greenhouse gases is higher than has been thought because it has been mitigated by the impact of aerosols in clouds."

Note: Just think about that. If we stop polluting then the full force of global warming kicks in and we all die, and they've been direly underestimating just how much 'global dimming' has been shielding us. If we don't stop polluting then global warming continues to accelerate as it already is and we all die. So the only question is which path allows us to die off SLOWER. I think it's the path we're on right now - keep on polluting in order to keep 'global dimming' going until even that doesn't hold the beast at bay enough for us to continue surviving, and then that's it, game over. If we stop polluting now then it'll be game over even quicker. It's like we're addicted to a drug that's fatal if we keep taking it, but the withdrawal symptoms are also fatal and would kill us even faster. So either way, it's game over for humanity. We're far past the point of no return. The survival of the human race on the surface of the Earth is not on the menu of available options. All we can do at this point is try to buy ourselves a little time. Years, probably. Decades? I wouldn't bet too much on that. And the dying has already commenced. Anyone can drop dead any day now, anywhere. We're just sorting out who dies in what order...

  1. Well, they got THAT forecast entirely wrong for around here. The bulk of the storm went WAY north of us. We got a ton of rain Sat. night (late) into Sun., and the wind picked up a lot during the night, then it got COLD, like single digit cold, too. Final result: the snow is all gone, it didn't ice up because of the wind, and it's brutally cold.

Extreme cold, another storm follow major Northeast winter storm
    https://watchers.news/2019/01/21/extreme-cold-another-storm-follow-major-northeast-winter-storm/

A powerful winter storm hit parts of the United States, from the Midwest to the Northeast over the weekend, dropping heavy snow and rain and creating dangerously icy conditions. Areas of heavy snow will linger across portions of New England and downwind of the Great Lakes into Monday, January 21, 2019. Bitter cold and gusty winds behind the departing storm are resulting in dangerous wind chill temperatures for much of the Northeast corner of the U.S. In the west, heavy mountain snow will impact portions of Utah and Wyoming with high winds in the southwest Monday. Developing low pressure system currently bringing heavy snow over the Rockies will become the next winter storm for northern Plains to the Great Lakes [more]

World War 3 Alert: Iranian Forces Fire Rockets Into Israel, And The IDF Responds With “Waves Of Guided Missiles”
    http://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/archives/world-war-3-alert-iranian-forces-fire-rockets-into-israel-and-the-idf-responds-with-waves-of-guided-missiles

Israel and Iran are edging dangerously close to a state of all-out war. On Sunday night, Israeli forces rained missiles down on Iranian forces based in the Damascus area “for nearly an hour”. According to the IDF, this was a response to “dozens” of missiles that were fired by Iranian forces in Syria toward targets in Israel earlier that day. The Israelis were able to intercept the Iranian missiles, but if any of them had gotten through they could have caused a tremendous amount of damage. Some of the missiles that Israel fired at the Iranians were reportedly intercepted, but quite a few of them did hit their intended targets. If the violence continues to escalate, we could potentially soon be talking about an all-out war between Israel and Iran in which both sides use their weapons of mass destruction. [more]

    http://www.desdemonadespair.net/2019/01/tamino-oz-heat-distribution-in-alice.html

We’ve spoken before (as have many before us) of the fact that climate isn’t just about the average, it’s about the whole distribution (the probability distribution if you want to get technical).

We also emphasized that the tails of the distribution — the probabilities for extreme values (very very cold or very very hot, if we’re talking about temperature) can change profoundly when we shift the distribution left or right, without otherwise changing its shape; we illustrated this with July temperature in Moscow

Not only have heat waves gotten more frequent and hotter, in places like Alice Springs they’re reaching extremely dangerous levels. [more]

    http://www.desdemonadespair.net/2019/01/2018-was-fourth-costliest-year-since.html

When compared with the record losses of the previous year from Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria, the indications at the start of 2018 were that it would be a more moderate year. However, the second half of the year saw an accumulation of billion-dollar losses from floods, tropical cyclones in the US and Japan, wildfires and earthquakes. The overall economic impact was US$ 160bn, of which US$ 80bn was insured. [more]

  3. World Economic Forum posts “Global Risks Report 2019” – In the “Age of Anger”, a tremendous increase in mutual hatred
    http://www.desdemonadespair.net/2019/01/world-economic-forum-posts-global-risks.html

At the beginning of each year, the World Economic Forum publishes its Global Risks Report, which “presents the results of our latest Global Risks Perception Survey, in which nearly 1,000 decision-makers from the public sector, private sector, academia and civil society assess the risks facing the world.”

In 2019, for the first time, abrupt climate change tops the list of concerns (cf. Davos climate obsessions contain clues for policymaking – The environment has replaced the economy and finance on the global elite’s worry list.)

But another theme emerged: the rise of anger globally and the tribalization of politics. “Where opposing political groups previously expressed frustration with each other, they now express fear and anger. […] Anger has long been associated with loss of status.” The WEF report suggests that the impoverishment of the public sector, as well as increasing within-country wealth inequality are driving anger and populist movements. With global debt skyrocketing to a higher value than before the 2008 financial crisis, don’t expect the anger to abate any time in the foreseeable future. [more]
