Event Update For 2018-10-28

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

  1. Jonny - ya GOTTA bold STILLMAN where the MALE student dropped dead! [JJFH irony alert squad]

One of the top 10 Skully and Molder panels today. Lots of happenings in your own town on this day, Jonny - geez.

Ya know, I can't decide what to lead with today - looming war, stock market crash or environmental collapse, interrelated as they are.

    [Let's just let 'er rip]
The Stock Market Has Just Done Something That It Hasn’t Done Since 2009

We continue to see extremely wild swings on Wall Street. On Monday, at one point the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 352 points, and then later it was down 566 points. At the closing bell the Dow had officially lost 245 points, and all of this extreme volatility is making investors very nervous. Investors like markets that are predictable, because it is a whole lot easier to make money when things move in a predictable fashion. When things get crazy, a lot of investors pull their money out and wait until things settle down in the marketplace, and that definitely makes a lot of sense. Right now, there is a lot of uncertainty about where things are ultimately headed. Some experts believe that the bull market will resume after this “correction” is over, but others believe that a bear market has now begun. And as you will see below, the fact that the S&P 500 has now broken a major trendline that has not been broken since 2009 is strengthening the case of the latter group. [more]

  4. Speaking of war, most don't realize that it is about to break out in South America. Especially now with Brazil electing a far right militaristic extremist who will probably devolve into a full blown dictator. Of course US Intelligence is doing its usual dirty work to fan the flames. It's all about subjecting Venezuela, or mostly about that anyway.

This 'Florida Maquis' YT channel specializes in reporting on what's going on in South America. This is his most recent video from yesterday...

If you don't have time for the 16 minute video just scroll down to the top pinned comment by Florida Maquis and you'll see links to articles chronicling the dire situation down there and that it is documented that the new Brazilian elected thug promised war against Venezuala. He and the Columbian war lord leader are cut from the same cloth, and both have a pal in Trump.

    This is bad. Very bad.

‘We’ve never seen this’: massive Canadian glaciers shrinking rapidly

Scientists in Canada have warned that massive glaciers in the Yukon territory are shrinking even faster than would be expected from a warming climate – and bringing dramatic changes to the region.

The rate of warming in the north is double that of the average global temperature increase, concluded the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration in its annual Arctic Report Card, which called the warming “unprecedented”. [more]

Rhino horn and tiger bone for medical purposes can only be obtained from farmed rhinos and tigers, the announcement said, while powdered forms of horn and bones from dead tigers can be used “in qualified hospitals by qualified doctors recognized by the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine.” The government has also allowed the trade in rhino and tiger products that qualify as “cultural relics.” Conservation groups are concerned that this decision could have far-reaching consequences for populations of both endangered animals. What's the Real Meaning of the Stock Market Swoon?

Nobody dares discuss it openly for fear of triggering a panic, but there aren't enough lifeboats for everyone.

There's no shortage of explanations on the whys and wherefores of the US stock market's recent swoon / swan-dive / plummet.

My explanation is much more simple: the status quo is fragile, and everyone's grip on the crumbling cliff-edge of "prosperity" is precarious--and we all sense it. The security we all took for granted is turning to sand as the system breaks down. Job security--you're joking, right? Pension security--you take us for chumps? Sure, your bank account is guaranteed by the FDIC, but nobody's guaranteeing your income, your purchasing power or the security of your grasp on the good life. [more]

Troops at the border are limited in what they can do [includes short video]

The 5,200 active-duty troops being sent by President Donald Trump to the U.S.-Mexico border will be limited in what they can do under a federal law that restricts the military from engaging in law enforcement on American soil.

That means the troops will not be allowed to detain immigrants, seize drugs from smugglers or have any direct involvement in stopping a migrant caravan that is still about 1,000 miles from the nearest border crossing. [more]
