Event Update For 2018-10-12

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

  1. G'day Jonny, Fran, Mike, Tom N., LL and anyone else reading JJFH.

Downright chilly here now, so I think A/C season is over, finally.

I listen to Kevin reading topical articles on Black Bear News whenever he does one, but lately he's getting hung up on "adaptation" and "all the things we can do" - issues we considered long ago (coming to the same conclusion: it's going to take EVERYONE to do this, which, on the face of it is impossible) - and basically rehashing old ideas (live like the Amish) that won't work for the majority, will be resisted by business interests and capitalism (which would have to be abandoned), and which have NO HISTORICAL precedent. Who is going to give up their privileged position? NOBODY, that's who. What company is going to give up making money - NONE OF THEM. We can't even get a handful of random people to agree on ANYTHING, and he's proposing all these pie-in-the-sky "solutions" like Eco-socialism and other ways of living that ASSUME a viable ecosystem - which we're losing more of every day.

He even states my pet line: How does one adapt to an extinction event? But then goes on to read all these articles by people who clearly haven't spent the time examining the implications of climate change (not to mention all the feedback loops, JJFH, and the REAL problem - HUMANITY).

Well here's yesterday's episode for those interested.

The skyrocketing costs of Hurricane Michael

Hurricane Cost May Skyrocket As Billions In Stealth Fighter Jets Unaccounted For; Tyndall AFB "Complete Loss"

After Hurricane Michael rendered Tyndall Air Force Base a "complete loss" from "widespread, catastrophic damage" - questions remain over nearly two-dozen F-22 Stealth Fighters which are unaccounted for.

According to the New York Times, Tyndall is home to 55 stealth fighters, "which cost a dizzying $339 million each." Before Michael hit, the Air Force evacuated at least 33 of the planes to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio, however they would not comment on the status of the remaining 22 fighters. Printing machine: US Treasury issuing more bonds to feed soaring debt but there are no takers
