Event Update For 2016-04-07

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

  1. It's snowing here, Jonny. Melting on the streets but coating the grassy surfaces. This, combined with dropping temps today into tomorrow, where it's expected to be about 28 by morning, will hurt fruit trees and other plants.

In today's report we see a wooden baseball grandstand suddenly burst into flame, a utility pole (causing a blackout), lots of vehicles (including boats, buses and tractor trailers) catching fire "inexplicably" and the usual people of various ages dropping dead suddenly. All these formerly rare incidents are becoming commonplace and practically EXPECTED each day now. Gyad, what a world . .

    Prolonged heatwave in Sr Lanka

Sri Lanka Braces for Extreme Heat

Education minister, Akila Virag Kariyawasam, recently sent out a very unusual circular: he ordered all government schools to defer outdoor sports events till end of April or May. The reason given was warm weather like never experienced before.

April is usually a hot month. But this year has been exceptional.

2nd highest daily average CO2 at MLO: 407.30 ppm on April 6, 2016 (Scripps)

Record annual increase of carbon dioxide observed at Mauna Loa for 2015

The annual growth rate of atmospheric carbon dioxide measured at NOAA’s Mauna Loa Observatory in Hawaii jumped by 3.05 parts per million during 2015, the largest year-to-year increase in 56 years of research.

In another first, 2015 was the fourth consecutive year that CO2 grew more than 2 ppm, said Pieter Tans, lead scientist of NOAA's Global Greenhouse Gas Reference Network.

Greenland and Antarctic melt isn’t just raising seas — it’s changing the Earth’s rotation

Sophisticated new gravity research suggests that changes in Earth’s climate may actually be having a stunning geophysical effect: slightly moving the location of the planet’s spin axis, or axis of daily rotation. In other words, even as the Earth spins on its axis in a west to east direction, completing a full rotation every 24 hours, that axis itself is also moving. This, in turn, means that the physical North and South poles are actually shifting, with the North Pole now drifting towards the United Kingdom.

  2. Got a bit cold here too - had a freeze warning, temps got down to 31F. And of my four remaining 'city trees' (the ones planted between the sidewalk and the street), two are looking pretty iffy and the other two don't look great. And I started with nine either last year or the year before, so five are dead and gone already. Pretty bad survival rate!

  3. Yeah, i have three large oaks (each over 100' tall) right behind my house that could EASILY smash my house into splinters WHEN (not if) their root systems finally collapse and rot out due to the air pollution that we've dumped into the atmosphere (specifically ozone, but others as well). They're still alive but having trouble - dropping branches (even ones with green leaves on them), getting eaten by both bugs an lichen, battered by high winds, weakened by the mild winter just passed, etc,
so i don't want to cut them down before i must (and it's EXPENSIVE).

The possibility of annihilation hangs over Saddeq Hassan and his neighbors.
