Event Update For 2019-11-28
The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.
A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

Thanks for another widespread report on the current conditions in our on-going extinction event, Jonny. The fact that they're finally recognizing all of the tipping points we've already passed shows that we're getting close to a cataclysmic event - like a large (or series of) earthquake(s), simultaneous volcanic activity, huge methane/sulfur dioxide/CO2/nitrous oxide emission, and/or an increase in destructive storms.

El Nino, La Nina not expected in Pacific but extreme weather still possible- WMO
https://www.yahoo.com/news/el-nino-la-nina-not-105129443.html
Neutral conditions are expected to prevail in the Pacific through February, but that will not prevent extreme weather, the U.N.'s World Meteorological Organisation said on Friday
"We currently have neutral conditions so neither El Nino or La Nina. And we expect this to continue during the period December 2019 to February 2020. Having said that doesn't mean that we are not going to see unusual and extreme weather," WMO spokeswoman Clare Nullis told a news briefing. [more]

Skyrocketing food prices worldwide
No mention of problems in North America and Europe. They are talking about the world, aren't they?
Food prices are skyrocketing, and economists are worried
Weather shocks, higher oil prices and a sharp depreciation in the US dollar could make food expensive, warn experts.
http://robinwestenra.blogspot.com/2019/11/skyrocketing-food-prices-worldwide.html
Food prices are climbing fast in the world's biggest emerging markets, posing a possible inflation threat after months of dormant pressures.
Asia's two largest developing economies face a price surge for staple products -- pork in China and onions in India -- that are central to consumers' diets. In Turkey and Nigeria, supply problems are driving up costs, while United Nations data show global food prices rose at the fastest pace in October in more than two years. [more]

Ferocious hurricane season that saw 18 named storms comes to an end
https://www.yahoo.com/news/ferocious-hurricane-season-saw-18-160025433.html
The powerful 2019 Atlantic hurricane season comes to its official end this weekend, a period that saw 18 named storms, six of which were hurricanes.
This year was unusually active: An average season has 12 named storms, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
“This year marks the fourth consecutive above-normal Atlantic hurricane season,” NOAA said in a statement Tuesday. “The only other period on record that produced four consecutive above-normal seasons was 1998-2001. [more]

Amazon fires are causing glaciers in the Andes to melt even faster
ReplyDeletehttps://www.yahoo.com/news/amazon-fires-causing-glaciers-andes-162836952.html
As the rainforest burns, it releases enormous amounts of carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, and larger particles of so-called “black carbon” (smoke and soot). The phrase “enormous amounts” hardly does the numbers justice – in any given year, the burning of forests and grasslands in South America emits a whopping 800,000 tonnes of black carbon into the atmosphere.
This truly astounding amount is almost double the black carbon produced by all combined energy use in Europe over 12 months. Not only does this absurd amount of smoke cause health issues and contribute to global warming but, as a growing number of scientific studies are showing, it also more directly contributes to the melting of glaciers. Rising seas threaten early end for sinking village in Philippines

Sitio Pariahan, about 17 km (10.5 miles) north of Manila, is sinking about 4 cm (1.5 inches) every year, owing largely to land subsidence from the population's overuse of groundwater, according to experts.
Now rising sea levels caused by global warming could soon make this village unlivable, a problem faced by other countries in Asia, where the poorest communities are hardest hit. [more]
Texas Family of 5 Killed After Their Small Plane Slammed Into the Ground and Was 'Destroyed'
https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/texas-family-5-killed-small-160321574.html
All seven people aboard a small plane died when the aircraft crashed on Wednesday, Canadian officials confirmed.
Houston native Otabek Oblokulov was piloting the plane, which was also carrying his wife and their three children — ages 3, 11 and 15 years old — as well as a Toronto couple, the CBC reported. The tragedy happened in Kingston, Ontario, about 5 p.m. local time.
The Piper PA-32 model, a single-engine private plane sometimes referred to as a Cherokee Six, “collided with terrain” and was “destroyed” in the impact, Chris Krepski, a spokesperson for the Transportation Safety Board of Canada, said in a news conference.
The TSB described the angle of impact as “very steep” and there was no sign of a post-impact fire. Investigators are still unsure whether inclement weather played a factor in the crash. [more; sounds like engine failure]

River watchers already wary about 2020 spring flooding
https://www.yahoo.com/news/river-watchers-already-wary-2020-190328144.html
After a year that has seen some of the worst flooding ever in parts of the Midwest, concern is already rising that the spring of 2020 may bring more high water to places that still haven’t fully recovered.
Flooding ravaged much of the Missouri and Mississippi River basins and their tributaries earlier this year, reaching record levels and overwhelming levees in many places. Eight months later, parts of the Missouri River are slightly above flood stage at a time of the year when river levels traditionally run low. [more]

6.4-magnitude earthquake strikes Albania: Major damage as buildings collapse, at least 50 dead - UPDATES
https://www.sott.net/article/424907-6-4-magnitude-earthquake-strikes-Albania-Major-damage-as-buildings-collapse-at-least-50-dead-UPDATES
Update: Global News carries this latest report by AP on November 30:
Search for Albania earthquake victims ends as death toll rises to 50
The search and rescue operation for earthquake survivors in Albania has ended, the prime minister said Saturday, with the death toll at 50 and no more bodies believed to be in the ruins.
Prime Minister Edi Rama said preliminary figures showed more than 1,465 buildings in the capital, Tirana, and about 900 in nearby Durres were seriously damaged in Tuesday's 6.4-magnitude pre-dawn quake.
About 2,000 people were injured. One woman remained in a coma, according to health officials.
Preliminary figures estimate at least 4,000 people are homeless.
About 2,500 people from damaged homes have been sheltered in hotels. Others have been taken to neighboring Kosovo or have moved to eastern areas of Albania.
The prime minister has pledged all homeless will be in "stronger homes" in 2020.
The government has set up financial compensations for families of the dead, including 1 million Lek ($9,000) per family, special pensions for elders and scholarships for children. [more]
