Event Update For 2017-08-26

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

2017-08-26 - Massive offshore explosions crack hotel walls and shatter windows in coastal West Bengal (India):

http://www.oneindia.com/india/mystery-explosions-off-bengal-coast-trigger-panic-among-tourists-2530451.html

Quote: "Two mysterious explosions were reported off the Digha coast in West Bengal's East Midnapore district this morning. Some hotels located close to the coast are reported to have developed cracks on walls, and glass panes shattered from the impact. The explosion sites are said to be well out in the sea, and not within visible range from the coast."

Quote: "Police sources said they have found no material evidence on land, reinforcing assumptions that the explosion site was quite some distance off the coast."

Quote: "Incidentally, the missile testing range at Chandipur on Odisha coastline is about 50 km from Digha. There were speculations whether missiles test fired from this spot accidentally landed close to the Bengal coastline. A number of missiles have been launched from the Integrated Test Range including Akash, Shaurya, Agni and Prithvi ballistic missiles. However, defence sources said they had no confirmation of any wayward missile. They also pointed out test fired missiles don’t usually pack explosives."

Note: Couldn't have been missiles, since if any missiles flew close enough for their sonic booms to crack walls and shatter windows, people would have seen missile contrails, and nobody saw anything. India is surrounded by vast methane hydrate deposits. As those deposits blow their wads, massive explosions - some of them comparable in explosive force to small nuclear explosions but without any radiation - are to be expected. That will happen off the US East and West coasts too, and off Japan, and in the Arctic, and a variety of other places. Worse though will be if the gas DOESN'T explode and burn over the ocean but instead blows over coastal areas and then ignites huge explosive city-destroying firestorms. The deposits off both the US East and West Coasts have already begun to dissociate...

Note: I guess if you've got connections you can still swim at beaches in Karachi. Lucky them! A few days after they instituted the swimming ban because of all the people dying in the water, a 'strange smell' blew in off the ocean and hit Karachi, mentioned in the 2017-05-31 update...

  1. It's gotta be tough on people, watching their whole world wash away. Insurance isn't going to cover this adequately. The ripple effects will harm an already tenuous economy. Nobody can go to work, there's nobody at the grocery store, banks, schools and businesses are shuttered and services like electricity and running water are down. This is going to be an interesting case -just how does a giant city like Houston "recover?" It will be a massive operation and I'm predicting that no matter what they do, it won't stave off the NEXT catastrophic rain event (which could be in weeks - look at China)!

Very little information is coming out about the nuke plants down there. Reassuring words from old interviews aren't going to cut it in this totally unexpected event. The design plans were to secure the facility for a 100 year flood event from the Colorado River, but THIS tops ANYTHING the designers planned for. The back-up systems are vulnerable (as we've seen from Fukushima) because we can't imagine all that can go wrong. Back when they designed these plants, climate change wasn't even an issue anyone worried about - hell, nothing would happen until 2100!.

If one or both have severe problems, causing a meltdown and radiation starts spewing around, Houston and other areas will be uninhabitable (like the exclusion zone of Chernobyl). Though they lie about it all the time and suppress news coverage, Japan is already having tremendous hikes in cancer rates and other (predicted) health troubles from their nuclear episode.

I read recently that they're going to go in with "muscle robots" to remove the melted coriums soon. Where are they going to put them? See - it's ALWAYS a problem with nuclear waste! It's lethal for hundreds of thousands to a million years!

Cost of cleaning up Harvey will bring new test of governance for Trump and GOP

The federal government had only $50.6 billion in cash reserves as of Thursday, down from more than $350 billion in January. It has drawn down this account because Congress has not been able to reach an agreement on how to deal with the debt ceiling.

The federal Disaster Relief Fund administered by the Federal Emergency Management Agency had a balance of $3.8 billion at the end of July, of which $1.6 billion is already obligated, according to the most recent federal report.

with damage estimates already rising into the tens of billions of dollars, the fund’s balance is almost certainly inadequate. [more]
