Some middle school and high school students detected a strange odor and began feeling ill. No gas leak was found, but the Mineral Point Fire Department did detect a small amount of CO2 in a remote location."

Note: Obviously wasn't that CO2, since A) CO2 is odorless; and B) the CO2 was in a remote location anyway. The fact that they thought it might be a gas leak means it was a rotten egg odor...

http://www.sott.net/article/353162-Solar-activity-headed-toward-100-year-low

Note: There will be no cooling, unless volcanoes get involved big-time, and even if that happens, it'd still just be short-term cooling. We've got a thickening carbon greenhouse over us. Without that, maybe it WOULD cool off, a little, but just like greenhouses trap heat and let plants grow in the winter, the same thing is happening now to the entire planet. And there's not only been no slowdown in CO2 and methane entering the atmosphere, they're both accelerating, although human emissions are leveling off. That means it's no longer the human race driving events, but the planet itself has taken over, and whatever we do or don't do is now irrelevant except in the very short term. Minor fluctuations in the solar cycle aren't going to overcome the thickening greenhouse being erected over us. Extinction approaches. I'm really only including this BS so that when reality itself blows it away, I can pull this back up again - if I'm still alive - and point out what stupendous idiots these people were to think that global cooling was coming...

Quote: "Indeed, had everything gone to plan, property owners within the CID would have voted sometime this August, likely passing the tax without incident. The only problem? The CID somehow overlooked Jen Henderson, a 23-year-old University of Missouri student who lives in the district — and happens to be its lone registered voter, reports the Columbia Daily Tribune. That means Henderson has complete say over whether or not the tax hike is approved."

http://www.jsonline.com/story/news/local/milwaukee/2017/06/11/walkers-point-residents-complain-sewage-odors-jones-island/375976001/

Quote: "A fast-growing neighborhood on Milwaukee's near south side with new restaurants and costly condos is located a stone's throw from the state's largest sewage treatment plant — and its unpleasant odors. Walker's Point is the only city neighborhood that can boast all three major rivers — Milwaukee, Menomonee and Kinnickinnic — flow around its borders. It is cheered as a walkable and bikeable environment that draws people outdoors. As sure as some people moving to rural properties eventually complain of manure smells from the third-generation farm down the road, some of the residents who have moved into Walker's Point in recent years are questioning why sewage odors from the 1920s-era treatment plant on Jones Island invade their space.

Quote: "In emails earlier this month on the nextdoor.com social network, one neighborhood resident wrote: 'This smell can't be healthy for the residents.'"

Note: Milwaukee, where several babies recently dropped dead in their homes. And no, 'sewage odors', almost surely hydrogen sulfide, are definitely not healthy for people...

Quote: "As temperatures reached 25C (77F), one soldier fell forward onto his knees, out of formation, before landing face down with his hands by his side."

Note: 77F doesn't seem hot enough to cause that, even with the bearskin hats. I did the 21-gun salute at military funerals in my WINTER uniform (because it wasn't officially spring yet) near Phoenix when it was 95+F and nobody ever fainted, although we did start taking bets on who'd pass out first one day during a particularly long 60-minute eulogy, but nobody did. So, FIVE soldiers collapsing unconscious, at 77F? Not normal. Have there been any strange odors in London lately? (Yes, mentioned in the 2017-06-12 update.) Have there been any unusual fires? (Yes, a gigantic fire that destroyed an entire high-rise apartment building at 12:54 AM, which killed dozens of people, mentioned in the 2017-06-14 update.) http://patch.com/california/northridge/mysterious-odor-interrupts-filming-canoga-park-sound-stage

Quote: "A sudden odor inside a Canoga Park warehouse Tuesday caused as many as 50 people on the set of 'Top Chef Junior' to experience respiratory problems, but authorities could not determine the cause."

Quote: "Brian Humphrey, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Fire Department, said the department’s hazmat team entered the building but could not find any substance. 'It was not clear what the odor was,' Humphrey explained. 'There was no storage inside the building that would lead us to indicate any product was utilized or stored there.' Humphrey said none of the people the fire department spoke with could describe the odor consistently, and all reported they felt better after they went outside for fresh air."

Note: That's very indicative of hydrogen sulfide, the inconsistent descriptions. At LOW concentrations it smells like 'rotten eggs', or like the odorant they add to natural gas. But at higher concentrations, different people describe it differently, with some saying it smells 'chemically', some saying it smells 'flowery', some saying it smells like licorice, some saying it smells 'sickly sweet', etc. Our brains didn't evolve smelling higher concentrations of hydrogen sulfide, so different people - different brains - interpret it differently, so you get inconsistent descriptions of the smell. Too bad we can't follow these people for a week and see if any of them drop dead in the next few days from respiratory arrest or cardiac arrest or stroke or 'medical event', because sometimes hydrogen sulfide has a delayed reaction of up to a few days after exposure before you die. In other words, some of these people could already be on the way to the cemetery and they just don't know it yet...

2017-06-29 - Two odor events occur, 'strange odor' and 'smell of gas', in Iron Mountain (Michigan):
http://www.ironmountaindailynews.com/news/local-news/2017/06/firefighters-investigate-odor-calls/

Quote: "Iron Mountain firefighters investigated two odor complaints Wednesday. At 4:26 p.m., they went to Shirt Tails at 408 S. Stephenson Ave. for a report of a 'strange' odor. Firefighters checked the building with a detector but didn’t find any problems. They returned to the station at 4:45 p.m. At 8:04 p.m., they went to Hardee’s at 315 N. Stephenson Ave. for a report of a natural gas odor. Employees evacuated the building, and firefighters used a detector to check for gas. Although the detector indicated no natural gas, the smell of gas was present, firefighters said."

Note: Their detector was for detecting natural gas, and none was detected, but the 'smell of gas' was nevertheless present. People are confusing the smell of hydrogen sulfide with the smell of mercaptan, which is added to natural gas to give it an odor. Natural gas detectors won't detect hydrogen sulfide...
