Event Update For 2017-02-25

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

2017-02-25 - Taxi bursts into flame and burns two men to death on bridge in coastal Penang (Malaysia):

Quote: "Police ruled out foul play in the incident where two men were burned to death in a car near the Sultan Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah Bridge on Saturday. South Seberang Prai district police chief Supt Shafee Abdul Samad said there was no elements of foul play found in their investigations. 'They died due to smoke inhalation according to post-mortem results,' he said in a media statement today. The bodies of teacher G. Saravanan, 28, and his technician friend T. 2017-02-25 - Organisms creating vast amounts of methane in the Pacific Ocean:

Quote: "Microbes are generating a vast pool of marine methane that is contributing to global warming, a British team of scientists has confirmed. Scientists from Queen Mary, University of London, traced the source of methane in the tropical Pacific Ocean. Sediment collected from the ocean floor, where there is very little oxygen, revealed how bugs are creating the largest region of marine methane on Earth."

Note: And there are OTHER bugs - ancient anaerobic bacteria and archaea - that eat methane (or biomatter like dead stuff and sh#t) and produce hydrogen sulfide, so here's a huge amount of food for them...

2017-02-25 - Warming ocean temps could kill deep ocean life:

Note: Deep ocean life began dying and fleeing the depths off the Pacific Northwest as early as 2002, so this is already underway. And since then, virtually ever major coral reef on the planet has started dying. So this isn't some distant hypothetical possibility - it's already happening. And the ancient anaerobic bacteria and archaea that produce hydrogen sulfide LIKE warmer waters and lower oxygen levels, and they eat dead stuff, so not only are conditions becoming more favorable for them in terms of temperature and oxygen levels, but the dying stuff provides them a steady source of food, which they turn into poison gas, which kills more stuff, which provides more food, which creates more poison gas, and so on and so on...

2017-02-25 - Parts of the North Atlantic could suddenly cool and freeze Europe:

Quote: "Current climate models foresee a slowing of the meridional overturning circulation (MOC), sometimes known also as the thermohaline circulation, which is the phenomenon behind the more familiar Gulf Stream that carries warmth from Florida to European shores. If it did slow, that could lead to a dramatic, unprecedented disruption of the climate system."

Note: Greenland is melting increasingly fast now, which dumps all kinds of cold fresh water into the Atlantic, which alters salinity, and that could also change the flow of the Gulf Stream. So they're not saying that the Earth is going to get colder. They're saying that the heat which would normally flow from the Gulf of Mexico over to Europe will be stalled and won't reach Europe  - so since that heat doesn't just disappear, where does it go? Wherever it goes, there will be serious problems there too: fish dying, oxygen loss in the waters, thawing of methane clathrates (like along the US East Coast), nuclear plants having to shut down because the ocean is too warm (that's already happened sporadically on the US East Coast in recent times), ancient anaerobic bacteria and archaea spewing more hydrogen sulfide, etc, etc.

2017-02-25 - Trump to be first president in 26 years to not attend the White House Correspondents' Association Dinner:

Note: Reagan was the last president to skip it, in 1981, but he had a pretty good excuse, seeing as he'd just been shot, and he still phoned in from the hospital with some humor. The last president to outright skip it was Nixon, in 1972, after calling the press 'an enemy of the people' because they were investigating the Watergate stuff. So, Trump's skipping the dinner is eerily Nixon-like, except this time the press is investigating Trump's ties with Russia. How far will this parallel go? Things didn't work out too well for Nixon in the end...

Note: Wow, would like to see some footage of that 21-story building being moved - sounds terrifying!
