2014 - APR - Spotlight Stories

2014-04-01 - Underground electrical fire freaks people out in Archbald (Pennsylvania):
http://wnep.com/2014/04/01/underground-fire-draws-attention-in-archbald/

Quote: "A group of people grabbing lunch in Lackawanna County saw something they had never seen before, smoke billowing out of the ground, and called 911. Police think those people helped put a quick end to an electrical fire that could have been very dangerous. Firefighters in Archbald are calling it an underground electrical fire. But, that’s not what it looked like around noon along Kennedy Drive. People having lunch nearby noticed a puddle boiling and steam coming out of the ground then called 911. 'There were a couple ladies from the bank looking at it, I saw the smoke and the water was bubbling. It was just really weird, something out of a sci-fi movie,' said James Pettinato, an employee at La Padrino’s Restaurant where the group was eating."

2014-04-01 - Underground electrical explosion and fire hits Avon Street in Bath (Britain):

2014-04-01 - Power line catches fire outside shopping center in coastal Naples (Florida):
http://www.nbc-2.com/story/25129789/power-line-catches-fire-outside-naples-shopping-center

Quote: "Business owners say out of no where they heard a loud boom -- that's when they came running out and found the power line and bushes up in flames. 'All of a sudden I saw the line drop on fire and it was moving around in the grass like it was a snake on fire, craziest thing I've ever seen,' said Greg Scalogna, Naples Computers."

2014-04-01 - Power pole bursts into flame in Arlington area of coastal Jacksonville (Florida):
http://www.firstcoastnews.com/story/news/community/2014/04/01/pole-fire-power-outage-arlington/7173425/

2014-04-01 - Transformer starts sparking, ignites home, home damaged, in Clearcreek Township (Ohio), many grass fires too:
http://www.lancastereaglegazette.com/article/20140401/NEWS01/304010041/County-firefighters-fight-several-blazes-fields

Quote: "Tussing said grass fires are normal this time of year because vegetation is still brown. However, he said the frequency this year is abnormal. 'We’ve probably had 10 already this year,' Tussing said about Clearcreek Township. 'That’s definitely more than there normally is.'"

Note: And here's some more electrical infrastrucure burning up. Hydrogen sulfide is reactive with copper, especially electrified copper, thus the rise in 'electrical fires', like the fires in the Boeing Dreamliners, parked vehicles going up in flames, utility pole fires, etc. Just use candles when the grid goes down, you're thinking? Yeah, but those might ignite passing methane and/or hydrogen sulfide plumes and blow you sky high too. Quite a conundrum...

2014-04-03 - Exotic vehicles and commercial building go up in flames in Sacramento (California), plus several other fires:

Quote: "Among those destroyed were a Model A Ford, a 1946 Chevrolet pickup, a 1963 Buick Riviera, two 1962 Chevrolet Impalas and a 1977 Pontiac Grand Prix."

2014-04-03 - Car storage facility ravaged by blaze at midnight in Onehunga suburb of coastal Auckland (New Zealand):
http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=11231985

Quote: "A large fire in an industrial area in the Auckland suburb of Onehunga has kept firefighters busy. The blaze started around midnight. Fire service spokesman Paul Radden said the building was used as a car storage facility."

Note: All vehicles are now randomly-igniting firebombs that can go off at any time, so the more vehicles that are parked near each other, the greater the chance that they all go up in flames. For the same reason it is now increasingly dangerous to park vehicles near your residence, lest you wake up in the middle of the night with your vehicle and residence on fire, assuming the fire doesn't just flat-out kill you...

2014-04-04 - Major international insurer pulls out of the waste industry:
http://www.mrw.co.uk/news/major-insurer-pulls-out-of-waste-industry/8661142.article?blocktitle=Latest-news---recycling-and-waste-management&contentID=2182

Quote: "An international insurance company has decided to stop quoting any new business from the waste and recycling sector partly because of an 'unprecedented' number of waste fires, it has been confirmed."

Quote: "He said there are not many insurers left for the waste sector, adding: 'There are also a few unrated insurers that have a dabble, but there aren’t many.' In terms of domestic markets over the last few years he said: 'In general the insurance industry has not made much money out of recycling. There has certainly been an unprecedented amount of waste fires, which tend to be big. Once they get going it’s very difficult to put some of these things out.'"

Note: If they'd listened to me BEFORE the unprecedented number of fires started ravaging landfills and recycling centers around the world then they could've saved themselves many millions of dollars, if not billions. From the full hypothesis: "Trash-related facilities such as recycling centers and landfills will burn hard too, as hydrogen sulfide is absorbed into flammable absorbent materials like wood, paper, cardboard, straw, hay, dried brush, generic trash, clothing, cotton, wool."

2014-04-05 - Seven volcanoes erupt within hours in six different countries:
http://climateviewer.com/2014/04/04/seven-volcanoes-six-different-countries-start-erupting-within-hours/

Quote: "The Mount Pinatubo eruption lowered temperatures by around 0.5°C across the Northern Hemisphere. Considering that we are in a cooling period anyway, having so many volcanoes going off at the same time is not good. Aside from the devastating effects the lava and ash can have on the lives of those living near to them, the global impacts can be enormous. Lost crops due to ash fall and lower temperatures can lead to hunger and famine, as happened after the Tambora eruption in 1815."

Note: I warned that there'd be more volcanic eruptions back in 2010, with MISA Theory, and 2013 was a record year in terms of the number of volcanic eruptions. Two years after I posted MISA Theory, one of the finest geological teams on the planet confirmed that when the ice has melted on Earth in the past, volcanic eruptions have ALWAYS been a consequence. I said the same exact thing, except that A) I was ahead of them by two years, B) I didn't need to see any archaeological evidence and instead relied on observations and logical deductions; and C) I said it was going to happen in the PRESENT, and it definitely is happening...

Note: This was another Penske truck rental business. Four trucks were destroyed by fire recently at another Penske place, and three more trucks were damaged, in Pennsauken (New Jersey), mentioned in the 2014-03-30 update, just a week ago. I mentioned then that they're gonna run out of trucks to rent quicker than necessary if they keep parking their trucks next to each other...

2014-04-07 - Tractor bursts into flame, fire spreads to barn and hay, near Auchterarder (Scotland):

Note: Transport infrastructure is just burning away. That will eventually pose serious problems in terms of growing food or getting food to grocery stores or getting fuel to gas stations and that sort of thing. Well, that'll be a problem if you're still alive and you still have a vehicle that hasn't burned up or exploded by then yourself...

2014-04-08 - Family of seven AND all their animals found dead at compound in Sogakope (Ghana):

http://www.modernghana.com/news/534422/1/family-of-seven-found-dead-in-s.html

Quote: "All animals in their compound were also found dead, Accra-based Citi FM Tuesday reported. According to the report, the dead, comprising two adults and five children have been missing since last Friday. Their bodies were found in a decomposed state at about 3:30 pm Monday. It is not immediately clear what caused the deaths."

Note: Sounds like a pretty good-sized cloud of hydrogen sulfide may have descended on this property and killed everyone and everything there. It's deadly stuff. That's partly why the British used it on the Germans in WWI. The other reason is that it's a heavier-than-air gas, so it would flow down into the trenches and kill the crap out of the soldiers in them. You won't see it coming because it's invisible and it can hit anyone at any time now. It may not smell bad, if you can smell it at all, and you shouldn't count on smelling it. It may smell 'sweet' or 'flowery' or 'sickeningly sweet'. If you smell something like that and there's no discernible reason for it, you may be in big trouble. Sogakope is located on the northeast (downwind) banks of the Volta River, near the coast...

http://www.kpvi.com/content/news/local/story/UPDATE-Evacuation-Continues-in-Jackson/OKj3JtdOlEyWrM0CFqEy0w.cspx

Note: Not all that far from Yellowstone. Did you know that Yellowstone's Old Faithful live webcam has been down for two days now and is entering a third straight day of being down? As far as I know, that has never happened before. And did you know the US government is seeking large numbers of buses for evacuation of the general population in the continental United States?

Quote: "This is a solicitation for a single indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract to obtain evacuation planning and operational support to facilitate a motor coach evacuation of the general population in response to Presidential-Declared Emergencies and Major Disasters within the continental United States."

Note: Worth paying attention to this stuff, especially if you live within, say, 500 miles of Yellowstone. Don't expect to get any warning. If Yellowstone erupts big and you live within a few hundred miles then you'll hear it and then you'll have a short window of time to GTFO, or wait for a GTFO Bus, or you could be buried under ash. It wouldn't be worth staying around. Everything would die, all the buildings would collapse, no sewer, no running water, no roads, no natural gas for heat, no electrical grid, not even solar power - or not much anyway - because the sky would be darkened. Maybe it won't erupt, or maybe if it does it won't be a big eruption, but the signs are looking increasingly ominous, especially when viewed in the context of all the OTHER volcanoes erupting around the world. Stay alert, hope for the best...but prepare for the worst.

http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2014/04/10/calif-crash-9-killed/7579275/

Quote: "The FedEx truck involved in the deadly collision on the 5 Freeway in Orland on Thursday was already on fire before it crossed the center median and collided head-on with a tour bus carrying students from Southern California, according to the driver of a car involved in crash."

Quote: "The flames seemed to [be] coming out of both sides of the truck from behind the cab, she said. Duran swerved to try to avoid the truck which struck the back of her car, knocking her into a ditch. She said moments later she and her husband, Joe, heard a series of explosions behind them as the truck slammed into the bus. Both vehicles exploded in flames, sending plumes of thick black smoke high into the air."

Quote: "Massive flames could be seen devouring both vehicles just after the crash, and clouds of smoke billowed into the sky until firefighters had quenched the fire, leaving behind scorched black hulks of metal. Bodies were draped in blankets inside the burned-out bus."

Note: So the truck didn't hit the bus and THEN fire broke out - the truck had already ignited BEFORE the crash. So this was actually, first, a tractor trailer bursting into flame, and that fire then caused the terrible vehicular accident. Before I heard this woman's story I was going to classify this as a vehicular accident, but now I'm listing it as a fire, since the fire came first. The bus driver may have already been unconscious or dead. Hydrogen sulfide will knock people unconscious or dead AND it will ignite vehicles. That's almost definitely the reason that the young engaged couple burned to death in their SUV in McFarland (Wisconsin) in early 2013 and didn't even TRY to get out of the vehicle - they were unconscious or already dead, so they just laid there and burned. That event was mentioned in the 2013-01-01 update. Since that event, a growing number of people have been found burned to death in vehicles. Numerous parked vehicles have been spontaneously igniting and destroying businesses and homes and municipal vehicles as well, especially in the last year...

Quote: "Once everyone was outside St. Louis firefighters went into the Dome and shut off the gas. Firefighters did notice the odor, but were unable to detect any gas. They believe the odor came from outside the Dome."

Note: By 'gas', they mean the 'rotten egg' odor of mercaptan, which is added to odorless natural gas so that it has any odor at all. Hydrogen sulfide in low concentrations also smells like 'rotten eggs', so people are obviously confusing the two odors, which is understandable. Notice that their natural gas detectors detected nothing. Also note that they say the odor came from OUTSIDE the dome.

Also, the previous two mornings in a row, I smelled the 'flowery' or 'sickly sweet' odor of medium concentrations of hydrogen sulfide outdoors, about 5 miles west of the dome. (I immediately stopped breathing each time and held my breath for as long as I could to give the plume time to blow on, and I didn't smell it again with the next breath either time.) And then the next day they smell a 'rotten egg' odor downtown, coming from outdoors. It probably diffused some as it blew from my location eastward toward the river, or they simply got hit by a different - and larger - cloud that was lower in concentration. Eventually we're gonna see a stadium or school full of people clutching their chests or throats and falling over dead. It's gonna be kinda hard to hide that, although they'll probably play the 'terr'rists did it' card as many times as they can...

Quote: "At least 12 people were killed and 2,000 houses destroyed over the weekend by a fire that devastated parts of the Chilean port city of Valparaiso, as authorities evacuated thousands and sent in aircraft to battle the blaze."

2014-04-16 - Wu-Tang Clan-associated rapper cuts off penis at 1 AM, jumps off balcony, in Hollywood (California), near the coast:

http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/gossip/wu-tang-affiliated-rapper-cuts-penis-suicide-attempt-report-article-1.1758494

Quote: "Our sources say ... cops were called to an apartment building in North Hollywood at around 1:00 AM and found Christ Bearer -- aka Andre Johnson -- on the sidewalk critically injured. Christ Bearer is a member of the rap group Northstar ... a group discovered by members of Wu-Tang Clan.  Two members of a group Bearer collaborates with live in the same apartment building and tell TMZ they were there early this morning when Christ Bearer suddenly -- without warning -- cut off his penis and jumped off the balcony. They say they were not on 'any hard drugs that would cause him to do such a thing.' The two men say they rushed downstairs and Christ Bearer had already jumped up and began screaming incoherently."

Note: I'll take 'Things That Make You Say Ow' for $800, Alex! Police say that they believe this was a suicide attempt. I wouldn't be so sure about that guess. Definitely unlike any suicide I've ever heard of before, to just jump up out of nowhere, slice off your wiener and then jump off a second-story balcony? Sounds more like he was hallucinating - and hydrogen sulfide can cause hallucinations as it damages the brain - and maybe he thought his penis was a venomous snake or something, so he sliced off the danger and fled out the nearest exit, which just happened to be a balcony...

http://www.daytondailynews.com/news/news/crime-law/officials-concerned-about-recent-arson-fires/nfbm4/

http://www.nj.com/south/index.ssf/2014/04/mount_holly_on_alert_for_more_fires_from_arsonist.html

Note: Same thing here. No evidence presented of PEOPLE being involved, so arson is just an assumption based on the fact that most of the buildings have no gas or electricity, combined with the fire officials being ignorant of the problem we face. Did any of these buildings have any rusty iron steel in them, like brackets, hinges, pipes, exposed nails, old appliances, etc? Yes, I bet they did. In any case, they haven't ruled out hydrogen sulfide's reactivity with rust as the cause, so they don't know if that caused these fires or not...

Quote: "Cell phone video shows the flames burning out of control, quickly spreading from one Sea Isle beachfront home to the next."

Quote: "I started getting nervous even though we were 12 houses away. I was thinking there’s a good possibility we need to get out."

Quote: "The seven-alarm fire required aid from 14 towns. Neighbors say two of the homes are seasonal and the owners were out of town. One was newly built. 'The house right there is a brand new house they were still putting in furniture in July,' neighbor Roberta Uniglicht said."

Quote: "Authorities continued their investigation Saturday into a Friday-afternoon fire that destroyed five vacation houses along the 7800 block of Pleasure Avenue in this Shore resort."

Note: And here's yet another monstrous fire in a coastal community. This fire wasn't nearly as bad as the 2000+ homes that were just wiped out on the coast in Chile (2014-04-12 update), or the 2000+ homes that were destroyed by fire on the coast in Davao in the Philippine Islands (2014-04-05 update), but still...pretty friggin' bad! There are 5 trillion pounds of flammable methane clathrate deposits dissociating off the US East Coast, and that process has just begun, so the fires and explosions that have been ravaging the US East Coast are very highly likely to get way way worse from here on out...

http://www.brantfordexpositor.ca/2014/04/18/police-investigating-two-suspicious-fires

Note: Used to be, there weren't so many boat fires. Like one or two per week, something like that, had to keep my eyes open to find 'em. That was in 2010 and 2011, started picking up more significantly in 2012, then more yet in 2013, and now boats are burning up at a good clip. Still, the record for most boats burning up in ONE fire stands at 58, a long-enduring record - the huge inferno that wiped out 58 boats at a marina on Norris Lake in Lafollete (Tennessee) happened in September of 2012, mentioned in the 2012-09-10 update. There've been a couple of huge vehicle storage facility fires where 200 vehicles burned up, but they didn't specify how many of those were boats. In any case, nowadays it's not uncommon to see several boats per day going up in flames, and as you can see, some of these fires aren't just rinky-dink 40-foot yachts, but big-ass cargo ships...

Note: MISA Theory, retrospectively corroborated by one of the finest university geology teams on the planet in late 2012, explains the relationship between the ice melting around the planet and the corresponding rise in volcanic eruptions and earthquakes. It is the volcanic eruptions that are the main problem, because they will heat up the oceans from below, which will cause - is ALREADY causing - intensifying releases of methane and hydrogen sulfide around the world. But the earthquakes will shake up the ocean floors and exacerbate the release of the gases too. Everything is related...

2014-04-23 - Underground fire breaks out in Hatfield (Pennsylvania), investigators puzzled:
http://thealternativepress.com/articles/underground-fire-on-vernon-court-in-hatfield-wedn

Quote: "An underground fire near PECO gas meters that affected residents of five townhomes on Vernon Court in Hatfield Township has left investigators puzzled, namely because neither PECO nor PPL Electric Utilities could tell them how or why the fire started Wednesday evening. Hatfield Township Fire Marshal Mike Waldron is now left with an uneasy feeling. 'It makes me nervous. I want more closure as to what happened so we can prevent it from happening again,' Waldron said."

Quote: "At 5 p.m. Wednesday, Hatfield Volunteer Fire Co. received a 911 report of a fire near a gas meter outside a house on the 100 block of Vernon Court, he said. When fire officials and Hatfield Township Police arrived, there was a fire in three different spots, coming out of the ground and burning through mulch, Waldron said."

Note: Almost pure methane was detected just inches below the soil surface at a town in Pennsylvania, as mentioned in the 2012-09-08 update. An underground fire just caused a public market to evacuate in Milwaukee (Wisconsin), possibly caused by underground methane and/or hydrogen sulfide building up, mentioned in the 2014-04-22 update...

Quote: "An underground fire filled the air with smoke, knocked out power to some businesses and closed down Riverside Avenue,  according to the Florida Times-Union."

Note: You just can't count on the ground not igniting under you anymore. At least they quit trying to blame the underground electrical fires on snow, at least until it snows again, and then they'll be back to that, hoping that you'll forget that these underground fires are happening when there is no snow too...

http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/explosion-rocks-small-town-washington-23469954

Quote: "An early morning explosion and fire in North Bend decimated several buildings and businesses as debris and glass was sent flying for several blocks. A barber shop, tire store and pizza restaurant are some of the businesses that were damaged in the explosion around 3:45 a.m. in the 500 block of E. North Bend Way. Two people were treated for minor injuries, one believed to be the result of the shattered glass and another hit by other debris."

Note: North Bend gets its name from its location at the north bend of the South Fork of the Snoqualmie River. And here's some more homes and businesses exploding and burning. That's getting to be routine now, but as the atmospheric contamination proceeds, this is certain to get much worse. Actually, this problem has been steadily worsening for some time now...

2014-04-26 - Wood chipping yard goes up in flames in coastal Hull (Britain):

http://www.newsyorkshire.co.uk/news/bransholme-chipping-yard-fire-children-could-be-to-blame

Quote: "There is a suspicion it could have been kids who started the fire. It could also have caught fire itself but it was quite a large one."

Quote: "It is not beyond the realms of possibility that a group of children, during the school holidays especially, caused the fire. But there is no way of confirming that at this stage."

Note: So what they're saying is this: they have no idea what caused this fire and they're grasping at straws. There's just as much evidence that aliens started this fire as there is that kids started the fire - none. Odds are, like many similar fires, the wood chippings simply spontaneously combusted. All flammable absorbent materials are absorbing hydrogen sulfide and/or methane - both accelerants - and spontaneously igniting. That includes wood, sawdust, dried brush and grass and leaves, cotton, wool, clothing, mulch, generic trash, cardboard, paper, etc.

Quote: "The blaze was reported just before 3 p.m. at 806 Walnut, the former site of American Drum & Pallet Inc..."

Note: All of the above fires involved wood in some way. Wood is an absorbent flammable material so it is absorbing methane and/or hydrogen sulfide and either spontaneously combusting or igniting very easily. This means anything wood is vulnerable. That's also at least in part why buildings under construction keep going up in flames - lots of wood which is more exposed to the atmosphere than in sealed, well-insulated completed buildings. Wood porches, decks, fences, dried brush or grass, dead trees - any of that can go up in flames at any time now...

http://www.minotdailynews.com/page/content.detail/id/595746/Man-found--unresponsive-in-home-near-fire.html

Quote: "Two grain trucks and a combine were among the farm implements lost in a metal shop fire Sunday afternoon in rural Mountrail County near the Ward County border southwest of Kenmare. Initial reports also indicate that the farmer who owns the property was found unresponsive in his home."

Note: So some vehicles and a metal shop ignited and nearby a man found unresponsive. Uh huh, well, hydrogen sulfide is reactive with rusty iron/steel, no other ignition source necessary, and a metal shop is gonna have some of that. It's also reactive with copper, especially electrified copper, and all of the vehicles probably had batteries in them. And finally, it's a deadly gas and will knock people unconscious or dead with as little as one breath. This area is near-ish to Minot, where a number of airmen have been found dead. From the full hypothesis: "Metal-related businesses will be hit hard, including salvage yards and metal recycling centers."

2014-04-28 - Passenger plane engine bursts into flame, plane makes emergency landing near coastal London (Britain):
http://hisz.rsoe.hu/alertmap/site/?pageid=event_desc&edis_id=VIV-20140428-43532-GBR
http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/apr/28/flight-london-city-airport-emergency-landing-fire

Quote: "A flight from London City airport was forced into an emergency landing at Stansted after an engine caught fire early in its flight to Basel. The engine fire, on Swiss flight LX487 on Sunday night, was the second such incident on an Avro RJ100 aircraft in the Swiss fleet at City in the space of a month, after an explosion briefly closed the runway in late March. Passengers screamed as flames emerged from one of the right-hand engines."

Quote: "Tanya Shah, from London, was sitting near the front on the right-hand side of the plane and saw the flames. She said: 'There was a big rumble, a shuddering you could feel, and I saw flames. Some passengers were screaming. The pilot didn't say anything for a few minutes before announcing we were diverting to Stansted, but people realised there was something wrong. When we landed, I could see quite a few people crying, and distraught.'"

Note: Pilot was probably busy changing his underwear. London JUST held the biggest plane crash drill in history this weekend, mentioned in the 2014-04-25 update. They know what's coming, how bad things are going to get as the atmospheric contamination intensifies. The day prior there were TEN plane crashes, mentioned in the 2014-04-27 update. Personally, I don't want to be on the receiving end of any emergency response after a plane burns or crashes, so I think I'll just keep my feet on the ground and observe as others fly through those 'friendly skies'...

http://www.ntnews.com.au/news/national/plane-catches-fire-at-perth-airport/story-fnjbnvyj-1226899696058

Quote: "Cobham Aviation Services said the engine fire occurred soon after take-off and that the four-engine BAE 146 jet was bound for Barrow Island. A spokesman said the pilot and crew safely returned the jet to Perth Airport at 10.53am (WST). 'The aircraft was climbing after take-off when the fire occurred in engine No.2, which is on the inner port side of the aircraft,' he said."

Note: A passenger plane engine burst into flame in flight the day prior, near coastal London (Britain), as mentioned in the 2014-04-29 update. As the atmospheric contamination proceeds, we should expect to see - and we ARE seeing - more planes catching fire, planes disappearing, planes crashing, etc. This is the first time that passenger planes have caught fire during flight on consecutive days, which is another indication that the problem is escalating. Also see the pickup that burst into flame while parked on a street just before 4 AM in the coastal East Rockingham area of Perth on this day...

2014-04-29 - Passenger plane takes off, engine bursts into flame, plane makes emergency landing at Mirabel Airport (Canada):
http://hisz.rsoe.hu/alertmap/site/?pageid=event_desc&edis_id=VIV-20140430-43549-CAN

Quote: "A Boeing 747 with 14 people aboard made an emergency landing Tuesday morning after an engine fire. The crew aboard the Pratt & Whitney test jet reported the fire after the plane took off from Mirabel Airport, a cargo facility about 50 km north of Montreal. The crew brought the fire under control and jettisoned fuel. The plane touched down about 11:15 a.m. safely. It wasn't immediately clear what caused the fire."

Note: Oh, and now TWO large passenger planes bursting into flame while in flight ON THE SAME DAY, which makes three in two days. I couldn't find any record of that ever happening before in the history of aviation, so we're in uncharted waters now as regards passenger planes burning while in flight...

2014-04-29 - Learjet makes emergency landing due to fire, in Indianapolis (Indiana):

Quote: "A fourth emergency landing was reported at the airport around 7:30 p.m. Bertoloni says the Lear Jet landed safely after declaring an emergency landing regarding a possible fire."

Note: So three separate plane fires in one day, and four in two days. Whew. If you were of a mind to do any flying then you might wanna get it done soon-ish, because this problem is only going to get worse...

http://hisz.rsoe.hu/alertmap/site/?pageid=event_desc&edis_id=LS-20140501-43577-USA

Note: More subsidence problems in coastal areas. Not a good sign when taken in context with the methane clathrates dissolving off the East Coast. As the clathrates dissolve, the East Coast is likely to experience subsidence problems like sinkholes and landslides. Over time, as the process accelerates, the entire East Coast may be rendered uninhabitable by subsidence, fires, explosions and poisoning...
