Note: Hydrogen sulfide poisoning can cause chemical damage to the lungs resulting in foaming from the mouth, and it can cause skin bruising as blood vessels rupture. This woman joins a growing list of people being found mysteriously dead after foaming from the mouth. The largest number of people to die while foaming at the mouth is five, when a family was found dead foaming at the mouth at their home in coastal Karachi (Pakistan), mentioned in the 2013-12-09 update. Two men suddenly died foaming at the mouth in their car, engine still running, in Asaba (Nigeria), mentioned in the 2013-12-12 update. There've been quite a number of other such incidents too, mostly involving one person dying this way. Also, a man attacked a student while foaming at the mouth at Smythe Academy campus in Sacramento (California), mentioned in the 2012-10-17 update, so sometimes you'll go crazy and foam at the mouth without necessarily dying, at least not immediately. Note: The above two stories are essentially identical. One whiff of hydrogen sulfide and you might have a 'medical issue' and collapse unconscious or dead. Even if merely unconscious, if your face is in the water then you're gonna die anyway. Also, since it's a heavier-than-air gas, it will tend to end up in all the same places that water does. Hydrogen sulfide is also water-soluble and may kill you or sicken you via contact with contaminated water too...

Note: Being in a vehicle is close to being outdoors, fully exposed to any deadly invisible hydrogen sulfide that might blow by. Note: They say they smelled propane, but like natural gas, an odorant that smells like 'rotten eggs' is added to it to give it a smell. Hydrogen sulfide also smells like 'rotten eggs' at low concentrations. Could be a cloud blew by, killed the crap out of this women and by the time deputies arrived it had diffused somewhat and was then at low concentration and thus smelled like 'rotten eggs' and they assumed that was propane when it wasn't.
