Event Update For 2014-01-14

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

Category: Other Stories Of Interest
2014-01-14 - HazMat event, dozens of students sicken from 'landfill gas' at school in Cortland (Illinois):
Quote: "Despite school officials' efforts, 63 students and staff reported headaches, nausea, vomiting and other symptoms and went to Kishwaukee Hospital in DeKalb. About 530 students attend Cortland Elementary,"
Quote: "William Zaver watched fellow students in his fourth-grade class develop sore throats after the overpowering odor moved through the school Tuesday morning. 'I saw three people in my class get sick,' 10-year-old William said. 'It smelled a lot like gas.'"
Note: By 'smelled a lot like gas', he means the 'rotten egg' odor of mercaptan, which is added to natural gas so that it has any smell at all. Hydrogen sulfide also smells like 'rotten eggs' at low concentrations, so people will confuse the two smells. Landfills are traditional sources of hydrogen sulfide and the symptoms mentioned are all symptoms associated with low-level hydrogen sulfide poisoning. (People don't survive hydrogen sulfide poisoning if the concentration is higher than 1 part per thousand.)

2014-01-14 - Five mysterious explosions in a week rattle residents in Soap Lake (Washington):

Quote: "One caller reported hearing three explosions taking place earlier in the week, making for a total of five reported explosions in the last week."

2014-01-14 - Home damaged by explosion and fire in Winslow (Indiana):

Quote: "The sheriff's office say they've received several calls about hearing an explosion. Two departments are on scene, but no word if anyone was home at the time or of any injuries."

2014-01-14 - Explosion and fire damages school in coastal Tema (Ghana), 4+ people badly burned:

2014-01-14 - At least 1 building destroyed by fire, on coastal Kimball Island (California), other fires mentioned:

Quote: "...a fire on the small Kimball Island between San Francisco and Sacramento engulfed at least one of the island's 20 buildings and was threatening others, Solano County fire dispatcher Robyn Rains said. The U.S. Coast Guard was helping with evacuations, and Delta Fire Protection District crews had difficulty getting to the blaze because the site is was only accessible by boat."

Quote: "In Los Angeles, a SuperScooper aircraft dumped tons of water on streams of flame that rolled up a steep cliff side along Pacific Coast Highway in Pacific Palisades on Tuesday afternoon. The flames crept within feet of multimillion-dollar cliff-top homes, but none were damaged."

Quote: "Earlier, more than 100 firefighters and two helicopters responded when a large house caught fire in the Chatsworth area of the San Fernando Valley..."

Quote: "In Southern California, flames were spread by 25 mph winds across a 2-acre property in Riverside County's Jurupa Valley and destroyed two houses, two mobile homes, three motor homes, 40 vehicles in different states of repair and about a dozen small structures, state fire Capt. Lucas Spelman said. Two more mobile homes were damaged. Alejandro Heredia fled with his 3-year-old child, 15-day-old baby and dog when palm trees began burning in a field behind his home."

Note: Sounds like the palm trees may have spontaneously combusted. They have rubbery 'skin', which will absorb atmospheric methane and hydrogen sulfide until they spontaneously combust. A palm tree burst into flame near an RV park in Lake Havasu City (Arizona), as mentioned in the 2012-08-26 update, and multiple palm trees burst into flame near the Marina Mall in coastal Kuwait, as mentioned in the 2012-07-23 update. There've been a few other palm tree-related fires too. I don't go out of my way looking for those, but I pay attention now when they're mentioned.

Look at these fires: one on a coastal island, one along a coastal highway, two in valleys near the coast. These are exactly the kinds of fires we should expect as flammable methane and hydrogen sulfide blow in off the Pacific Ocean. Watch how bad things get once fire season begins again...

2014-01-14 - Wildfire erupts along I-80 in Grand Island (Nebraska), interstate shut down:

Quote: "Daryl Blue of Lincoln was driving to Shelton on Tuesday when he came upon the fire. 'I have never been so scared in my life,' Blue said. 'It jumped over from the cornfield to the interstate. The smoke was so thick, we were almost at a dead stop.' At one point, Blue said the fire jumped to the median."

2014-01-14 - Underground electrical explosion and fire blows manholes off in Detroit (Michigan):

Once clean, they transform into a full 53 foot dry freight trailer, with the dimensions being slight larger than a 53 foot reefer. (101.5” high, 98.5” wide and 53 feet long). These units can carry up to 43,500 loaded pounds in the USA and 48,500 pounds in Canada."

Note: They use the term 'livestock trucks', but I looked at their website and they're tractor trailers, with the trailers being specialized with air vents and stalls and such for transporting live animals...

2014-01-14 - Nursing home addition under construction destroyed by major fire at 5:02 AM in Glenwood City (Wisconsin):

Note: This was a $9.7 million project that went up in flames here. From the full hypothesis: "So far as homes are concerned, vacant homes, unoccupied homes and homes under construction will burn hardest and first but the number of occupied homes burning will also be increasing." The wee hours are when the atmosphere cools and contracts, which will push any hydrogen sulfide or methane in the air above closer to the ground...

2014-01-14 - Mount Sinabung erupts violently in Indonesia:

  1. "2014-01-14 - Minivan and garage destroyed by fire in the Town of Merrill (Wisconsin):"

Merrill (it is 20 miles from Wausau which comes up 26 times) came up 15 times on the JJFH search.
Merrill is located along the Wisconsin River at its confluence with the Prairie River.

Fond du Lac came up 32 times which is located at the southern end bay area of Lake Winnebago.

    1. I see they fixed the search thing! The reason I added the Google Custom Search at the top was because the other search wasn't working for a while, not just for me but for lots of blogs, if not all of them. The two searches work a little differently, so I might just leave them both, so people can use whichever one suits them.

Kinda interesting to search on stuff now that there's quite a bit of accumulated data. Heh, gonna go search on my city and scare the crap out of myself now!
