Event Update For 2021-03-30

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

  1. Tremulous Thursday Jonny, all. Also, as a bona fide fool (reflecting on my life), i'd like to wish everyone an interesting April Fools Day.

On days like this, i wonder what the insurance industry is saying amongst themselves about all the trucks, cars, homes, buildings and such bursting into flames with no apparent cause. They GOTTA be thinking about it, because these objects are all insured! So they have to pay out HUGE sums of money! You KNOW they're researching and trying to figure out if it's arson, or what other factors could potentially cause these types of losses. Just one example above - the home under construction - HAD to be insured by at least the construction company (if not also the home owner). The insurance company will send out an investigator (or a team of them) to find the probable cause. They'll refer to the fire department's analysis but may also choose to do their own investigation. Either way, if they don't find a clear cause then what? This is the same situation for all the tanker trucks (owned and insured by some company and insured out of necessity), other homes and residential buildings, not to mention the cars (and the one with the dead person in it).
i'd really like to know how they settle the claims. Or do they simply refuse to pay out because it's "suspicious?"

Dozens in Central Florida Contract COVID-19 after Being Fully Vaccinated

They’re called COVID-19 breakthrough cases — people who have been fully vaccinated yet still contract the virus more than 14 days after their second shot.

The cases are popping up around the country, including in Central Florida.

Researchers are still trying to figure out if people who are fully vaccinated and contract the virus can also spread it to other people, which is why they recommend still wearing masks even after you’re vaccinated. [more; masks don't do any good either, so...]

Russia sending 56th Airborne Brigade to Crimea

The ceasefire agreement in Eastern Ukraine between Russian forces and government forces expired today, March 31, 2021. Earlier, at a meeting between Ukraine and Russia, Ukraine asked Russia to extend the cease fire and to guarantee it beyond April 1. Russia said “no.”

Tonight we can confirm that Russia is sending the 56th Airborne Brigade to Crimea as part of an unprecedented military mobilization amid the ongoing crisis with Ukraine, which has been escalating dangerously in recent days, with heavy exchanges of heavy weapons taking place in recent hours. [more]

What happens next depends on who blinks first and whether Ukraine will go ahead with a hair-brained idea (implanted in their mind after a four-year period of relative peace under Trump, by Biden and his handlers) of invading Donbass and Crimea.

Being no expert, it seems to me that with an unprecedented build-up of forces along its border with Ukraine, Russia is ready to respond to the next provocation.

This time they mean business [more]

[what if Russia starts doing the same to Washington, provoking some response as they set up shop somewhere like Cuba or place their nuke subs just off our east and west coasts (as well as in the Arctic, where they already are armed and ready)?]

  3. The Parliament explained why NATO will not fight for Ukraine

NATO will not take part in military operations in the Donbas if the conflict escalates due to fear of Russia.

    Washington's stunning lies

Today's political landscape is looking more and more like the classic Monty Python 'Dead Parrot' sketch. [see video clip]

Everywhere I look I see Michael Palins doing their best to convince us of the most absurd lies to hide the rank incompetence at every level of our society's power structure.

And it doesn't matter what issue we're discussing: masks, vaccines, election fraud, racism, Joe Biden's health, climate change, the sovereign bond markets, lockdowns.

No matter the issue or the question Biden's Press Secretary, the uniquely incompetent Jenn Psaki, will be happy to 'circle back to that later' but never doing so hoping to just get through the next news cycle without a revolt.

Everyone's doing the 'believe me' look that body language experts talk about all the time. It's all so tiresome and exhausting. And you can feel the level of frustration building like John Cleese's anger in the sketch.

It even looks to me like the people in the media are getting fed up with having to disseminate the lies. But, since their access to power and livelihoods depend on playing along with the charade even the best ones act out on the stage prepared for them.

We all know they are lying. They know we know they are lying. We know they know that we know they are lying.

    And yet the lying continues.

Worse than that, the dying continues.

Because that is the net outcome of all this lying, the wasted time and energy billions of people who eventually are asked to fight wars on behalf of these venal liars desperate to retain power and privilege.

The endless lying comes from the need to sell us on a future we don't want for a price we can't afford to pay. That the pols in D.C. think they can bribe us with a couple thousand bucks of stimmy money after they've destroyed our quality of life is the clearest sign ever that they are completely out of touch. 4. What happens when 400 million gallons of contaminated water go in Tampa Bay

    Selene San Felice
    Wed, March 31, 2021, 6:20 AM

More than 400 million gallons of phosphate-contaminated water will be released into Port Manatee from the Piney Point reservoirs, The Bradenton Herald reports.

After a leak was discovered in the 77-acre process water pond last week, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection said draining it is the only way to prevent "a containment failure and catastrophic release."

What it means: USF Geoscience Professor Matthew Pasek told Axios that the release of contaminated water presents consequences but could be managed.

Get market news worthy of your time with Axios Markets. Subscribe for free.

    Two potential problems:

Natural minerals in the water could have trace elements "from arsenic to radioactive stuff" that people and sea animals would be exposed to.

Phosphate in the water could cause algae blooms, blocking sunlight that good algae need to produce oxygen and therefore suffocating fish.

Can you counteract those chemicals? It depends on how fast the water gets released, Pasek said. There are ways of pulling phosphate out of the water, but those methods take time and money.

"Doing things like this occasionally will cause problems, but they have to do what they have to do. Either release a fair bit now or release all of it when the whole thing ruptures," he added.[more]

Vaccines are working. The latest surge in Covid cases proves that.

People under 60 are accounting for the majority of new Covid-19 cases across the country — likely a testament to the success of the vaccines that have been administered to primarily older, more vulnerable Americans.

The number of cases is rising again following a steep decline and then plateauing for several weeks. During a White House Covid-19 briefing Monday, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention director Dr. Rochelle Walensky said the rise in cases — an average increase of 10 percent from the previous week — gave her a sense of "impending doom." 6. Joe Biden most definitely ISN'T in charge - so who is?

After Joe Biden's performance last Thursday, every American should be demanding to talk to the manager. That's because while President Joe Biden's pathetic display during his "matinee" presser showed clearly that he is not in charge of our country, it also begged the obvious follow-up question not being asked by the 25 reporters in the room: If Joe Biden isn't in charge of running our government, who is?

If you didn't actually watch the press conference — and every American should - especially those who voted against Trump by voting for Biden because they'd thought he was an improvement — by now, you have doubtless read the accounts of the President's cliff notes that included scripted talking points and photos of the journalists upon whom he was directed to call. His staff treated him in much the same way as does the family of someone in the early stages of dementia, where they put pictures on doors and cabinets as a reminder of what goes where.

If Joe Biden were my next-door neighbor, his condition could be described as sad, and he would be afforded every consideration and allowance possible for someone entering the final stage of the aging process. He is not, however, my next-door neighbor. He is supposed to be the President of the United States. His performance was mortifying. This is one of the most powerful men in the world. He controls our budget. He controls our military. He controls our nuclear weapons. What he clearly does not control is himself.

And if he isn't in control of himself, then who is? Who is in charge?

Whoever is in charge, or whatever coalition of individuals and groups are in charge, one thing is for certain: Joe Biden is not, and the press does not seem to care to find out who is. [more]

Living robots made from frog skin cells can sense their environment

A microscopic, living robot that can heal and power itself has been created out of frog skin cells.

"The fundamental finding here is that when you liberate skin cells from their normal context, and you give them a chance to reimagine their multicellularity, they can build other things than what they normally build," says Levin. "To me, one of the most exciting things here is plasticity. This idea that even normal cells, not genetically modified, with a normal frog genome, are in fact capable of building something completely different."

The xenobots, which are between a quarter and half a millimetre in size, operate in robot swarms, meaning that a group of individual xenobots can work together to complete a task. [more]

Pentagon unveils policies reversing Trump's transgender ban

"Secretary of Defense [Lloyd Austin] strongly believes that the all-volunteer force thrives when it is composed of diverse Americans who can meet the high standards for military service, and an inclusive force that strengthens our national security posture," Kirby said.

The new rules, which will be effective in 30 days, follow a two-month review at the Pentagon in the wake of Biden's order, which "sets the policy that all Americans who are qualified to serve in the Armed Forces of the United States should be able to serve."

The order revoked President Trump's 2017 and 2018 orders banning transgender military service and immediately stopped the military from forcing out any service member on the basis of gender identity.

Prior to the Trump-era ban, transgender troops were covered by a 2016 Obama administration policy that allowed them to serve openly.

But in 2017, Trump blindsided Department of Defense (DOD) leadership when he tweeted he would reverse the open service policy and would "not accept or allow transgender individuals to serve in any capacity in the U.S. Military." [more; who cays, yer cannon faddah!]
