Event Update For 2020-08-01

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

2020-08-01 - Study suggests there is a 90% chance of human civilization collapsing within decades:

Quote: "As per their prediction, civilization has only a 10 percent chance to survive, which they described as the most 'optimistic scenario.'"

Note: These particular scientists come to this conclusion based on resource consumption and deforestation. Other scientists have come to this same conclusion in different ways. They're all right. The human race is on the way out. Our hourglass is running out of sand and the planetary-scale forces now in play have gained such momentum that our fate is sealed...

2020-08-01 - Wildfires rage for months across ParanĂ¡ River delta wetland in Argentina:

Quote: "Forest fires have raged for months across Argentina’s delta wetland, threatening a major ecosystem with total destruction, experts warn. Severe drought led to the ParanĂ¡ River shriveling to its lowest level in decades, according to NASA’s Earth Observatory. As the shrinking river has caused economic damage -- grounding several ships and forcing companies to reduce cargo loads in order to navigate the shallower depths -- it also has allowed increased fire activity in the delta. Fires have raged for months now, with infernos visible from miles away, the Guardian reported."

  1. Good Monday morning Jonny, everyone.

So yeah, after a day that was supposed to be less warm and humid turned into another 90 degree (and humid) day, we're now expecting a shit-ton (metric unit?) of rain for tomorrow through Thursday from Isaias. We could use some rain, but it could be too much too fast (according to the forecast). There was a recent tornado watch issued the other day, but that fizzled out due to the (unexpected) heat, so this rain may not be all that bad. We'll see.

Each day more and more evidence supporting McPherson's position comes out from a wide variety of sources. It's obvious to us (the readers of JJFH) that we've been headed towards extinction for a while now, specifically because JJFH predicts the same "loss of habitat for humanity" that NBL espouses.

There are many factors that are converging on us which will cause humanity's demise: heat and cold, pollution (including JJFH listed gases, CO2 and more) radiation (man-made and solar), war, economic and social disruption, water (either too much or too little, sea level rise and the results of JJFH), loss of the ability to grow food (or keep livestock), invasive species, and disease (to name a few of the broad categories).

All we're doing is tracking our "progress" along the way out.

    [Here's today's bad news.]

Wildfire smoke forecast for August 3, 2020
Smoke from southern California’s 20,000-acre Apple Fire is predicted to move north overnight Sunday. Monday morning it is expected to affect areas in areas of Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Wyoming, and Idaho.

NOAA predicts that a new fire in north-central Oregon, the Fir Mountain Road Fire seven miles south-southeast of Hood River, will produce smoke that will move into eastern Oregon, southeast Washington, and eastern Idaho. The fire started Saturday night, and Sunday morning was estimated at 70 acres. It seems surprising that it could be generating such a large quantity of smoke, however it is burning in slash piles from recent logging, as well as adjacent standing timber. [more]

Shock Survey Finds That Funding Is Being Reduced For “Nearly Half” Of All Major City Police Departments In America

In recent weeks there has been a tremendous amount of debate about whether police departments around the country should be “defunded” or not, but what most Americans don’t realize is that it is already happening on a massive scale. At a time when crime rates are absolutely soaring and civil unrest is raging in major cities across the nation, police budgets are being deeply cut and in some cities there is talk of eliminating police departments altogether. I knew that a few cities had already made moves in this direction, but I had no idea that it was happening on such a widespread basis. According to a report prepared by the Police Executive Research Forum, nearly half of the law enforcement agencies that they surveyed “are reporting that funding has already been slashed or is expected to be reduced”… [more; we're going to make MAYHEM GREAT AGAIN!]

A coalition of the world's major military powers, led by the US, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Britain and Israel, expected Yemen's Houthi movement to fall in a matter of weeks after their attacks started on March 25th, 2015.Five years later, it is only the hidden member of the Coalition leaders, Israel, that is motivated to continue the genocidal bombing and blockade that has created "the world's greatest humanitarian catastrophe".
