Event Update For 2019-07-03

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

  1. Good day Jonny and all readers of JJFH!

As promised, here are the stats on Hull JJFH events and garbage truck fires.

In June, 15 garbage trucks were destroyed by fire in 7 days, the most trucks in the least number of days this year with 8 burning in a single day. Over in Hull, UK, there were 12 JJFH incidents in 10 days, the least number of events in any month this year so far. On 3 occasions, these two phenomena occurred simultaneously. Totals for the year, so far: 61 garbage trucks and 86 JJFH episodes as of the end of June, for averages of ~ 6 garbage trucks burning per month and ~ 14 JJFH incidents in Hull each month. They happened together 16 times over 6 months, or about twice a month.

These "medical events" are really starting to impact people driving vehicles, putting out fires, 'enjoying' fishing and water recreation and walking around. Never any clarification by the authorities, even when it's one of their own, or if the person was among the most fit.

Germans display 'F*** You Greta' bumper stickers to protest being lectured about global warming

The stickers are mainly being bought from Amazon, where they retail at €3.99.

It's heartening to see that many people can see right through such a flagrant attempt to use a child as a human shield for emotionally manipulative propaganda.

While the message is squarely aimed at Greta, more questions need to be asked about who is pulling her strings. [more]

  8. Bumper stickers won't defeat Greta. Reality is on her side, even if bumper stickers aren't, and Reality has boots plenty big enough to squash the denialists and their bumper stickers right out of existence.

Plane makes emergency landing in Boston after fire on board

A fire aboard a Virgin Atlantic flight headed to London forced the plane to make an emergency landing in Boston.

Massachusetts State Police said in a news release that the crew extinguished the fire, which a preliminary investigation says probably started with a phone charger that ignited in a passenger seat.

It was the second unusual landing at Boston's Logan International Airport on Thursday. Earlier, an American Airlines jetliner from Chicago declared an emergency when a cockpit light indicated an unspecified potential mechanical problem as it approached the city, but the plane landed without incident. In Praise of Themis

From Themis: A Study of the Social Origins of Greek Religion ~ Jane Ellen Harrison (1912).

'The Greek word Themis and the English word Doom are, philology tells us, one and the same; and it is curious to note that their development moves on exactly parallel lines. Doom is the thing set, fixed, settled; it begins in convention, the stress of public opinion; it ends in statutory judgment. Your private doom is your private opinion, but that is weak and ineffective. It is the collective doom, public opinion, that, for man's common convenience, crystallizes into Law. Themis like Doom begins on earth and ends in heaven. On earth we have our Doomsday, which, projected into high heaven, becomes the Crack of Doom, the Last Judgment' (483)."

So I will no longer refer to myself as a doomer, but rather as a Themist - which to me, means struggling for the capacity to endure the unbearable lightness of being, that great paradox of being human, to have the knowledge that we are hurtling towards the Endocene but can do nothing to slow the see our death looming and to realize it cannot be face the soul crushing tragedy of the horrendous truth that our fate is sealed - and like Democritus, still be able to laugh.
