Event Update For 2017-09-19

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

2017-09-19 - Hydrogen sulfide blowing around in Seminole County (Florida):

Quote: "Orlando officials also noted that heavy rains can saturate the groundwater, resulting in a sulfur-like smell similar to rotten eggs."

Quote: "Tree debris settling in low, swampy areas, creating hydrogen sulfide..."

Note: Biodegrading stuff in anaerobic conditions is producing hydrogen sulfide - that's what's going on here. Now it'll accumulate and concentrate in low-lying areas, being a heavier-than-air gas. Will that create small clouds of lethal gas that blow around invisibly knocking people dead or unconscious here and there? Who knows. I wouldn't be betting my life on that NOT happening...

2017-09-19 - High school boy has 'medical emergency' and loses consciousness, in critical condition, in coastal Fleming Island (Florida):

Quote: "Clay County school district spokeswoman Nicole Snyder said she couldn’t speak about a specific student due to privacy concerns, but confirmed that a medical emergency occurred at the school. 'A Fleming Island High School student passed out today while he was working out in the weight room during school hours. EMS was called immediately and he was transported to a nearby hospital. He was transferred to Wolfson Children’s Hospital where he is in critical condition.'"

2017-09-19 - Polaris three-wheel vehicle bursts into flame and kills person at 11:15 PM in Saint-Laurent (Canada):

Quote: "Montreal police say a mechanical issue appears to be the reason behind a fatal fire late Tuesday night. Firefighters were called to Vanden-Abeele Street, in Saint-Laurent's industrial park, around 11:15 p.m. to put out a major fire. Once the flames were out, they looked inside the burnt-out vehicle and discovered a body, said Const. Raphaël Bergeron. Police say they do not suspect foul play in the incident. The vehicle, which police identified as a Polaris Slingshot three-wheel motorcycle, was so badly burned it is practically unrecognizable. All that's left is a pile of metal and tires. The investigation was handed over to Montreal police investigators, who determined the cause looks to be a mechanical breakdown."

No one was inside the hanger at the time of the fire."

2017-09-19 - After spate of container ship fires, International Union of Marine Insurance calls for better firefighting systems:

Quote: "In February this year, the IUMI called for action on ferry and roro [roll-on roll-off] fires."

Note: Heh, they're always late to the game in terms of recognizing the evolving patterns, reactive not proactive. I wonder how many billions of dollars they've lost since I said what was going to be happening. The same thing happened with the recycling fires and the businesses insuring those facilities. I said what was going to happen - more and bigger recycling fires - and that's exactly what happened, then almost all of the big international insurers bowed out of the market after sustaining huge losses...

Note: Yeah, seen that before quite a few times. It's not just people in cars and trucks slumping over unconscious or dead or having seizures or 'medical events', but people in all kinds of vehicles, or not in vehicles at all. Sometimes it'll be people in aircraft, and when you slump over unconscious or dead in an aircraft, and you fall onto the control wheel, your weight pushes it down, and you go into a steep dive. That's probably happened to way more people than we'll ever know. A crash is reported, responders show up, there's wreckage, sometimes burning, and splattered bodies with no way to know what happened just prior to the crash...

  2. A very, very bad day for the Empire in Syria

‘US Secret Services' Tried to Nab 29 Russian Troops in Syria ... and Got Their Butts Kicked - Russian Military

According to current information, the attack was initiated by the American secret services to stop the successful advance of the [Syrian] government troops to the east of Deir ez-Zor.

One of the main goals of the militants’ actions was an attempt to capture units of the Russian military police, amounting to 29 service personnel carrying out tasks at an observation point deployed in the area to control the de-escalation forces.

In the militants’ attack, a (Russian) military police platoon of 29 people was trapped and for several hours repelled the attacks of the enemy shoulder to shoulder with the Mwali tribe, which signed the agreement on joining the cessation of hostilities and remained true to it in this difficult situation.

In these extreme conditions the commander of the Russian forces in Syria, General-Colonel Surovkin, formed a rescue group.

It was composed of units of special operations forces, military police, joined by themilitary-natives of the North Caucasus (i.e -Chechens) and the Syrian Special Forces.

The squad was headed by Deputy Head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the Warring Parties and Hero of Russia, Major General Victor Shuliak.

Aviation conducted strikes on the terrorists’ positions. The actions of the rescue squad were constantly supported by a pair of Sukhoi Su-25s, striking at militants and armored vehicle militants from extremely low altitudes.

As a result, the encirclement was broken and units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, without a loss, reached the area controlled by the [Syrian] government troops.

A terrorist attack was stopped and they suffered heavy losses due to the measures taken by the Russian command together with the General Staff of Syria.

Air and artillery strikes destroyed 187 objects, about 850 terrorists, 11 tanks, four armoured vehicles, 46 pickups, five mortars, 20 trucks and 38 weapons warehouses were destroyed in a 24-hours period. [more]

‘Retail Apocalypse’ Causing More Than 3,500 Stores to Close: What You’re Not Being Told

Prices on college tuition and textbooks have gone up 200%. Costs have increased for child care (125%) healthcare (120%), food and beverage (65%), and housing (60%). In contrast, products like cell phone services, TVs, toys, and software have become cheaper.

While total retail sales may be growing, those making profits and finding success are doing so amid a climate of overall economic decline. While the “retail apocalypse” may not have come to total fruition, Americans’ financial futures certainly seem to be on the downturn. [more]

  3. The Everything Bubble Is Ready To Pop

It wasn’t always this way. We never used to get a giant, speculative bubble every 7–8 years. We really didn’t.

In 2000, we had the dot-com bubble.

In 2007, we had the housing bubble.

In 2017, we have the everything bubble.

Why do we call it the everything bubble? Well, there is a bubble in a bunch of asset classes simultaneously.

I don’t usually predict downturns, but this time I bet my reputation that a downturn is coming. And soon.

When there’s nothing left but systemic risk, everyone’s portfolio is on the line. [more]

  5. Dark and Flooded — Puerto Rico Devastated by Maria’s Unprecedented Rains, Terrible Winds

“The rain gauge near Caguas, PR also measured 14.31″ in one hour. That’s a candidate for the most ever, worldwide.” — Eric Holthaus.

it could take up to 4-6 months to completely restore electricity. Since electricity is essential to both communications and a swath of basic disaster relief services, such a severe and extended loss could greatly hamper recovery efforts for this island commonwealth.

Maria’s winds, which at landfall were as strong as 155 miles per hour (sustained), not only knocked out the entire Puerto Rican grid, they inflicted major structural damage on buildings and littered roads with debris. Across the island, roofs were peeled off even as holes were knocked in some of the strongest concrete structures. Metal gates to affluent homes and communities were torn down even as electrical power poles were snapped like twigs. [more]
