http://www.680news.com/2016/12/28/new-species-wash-ashore-in-nova-scotia-following-deaths-of-herring-2/

Quote: "A marine mystery is confounding residents of southwest Nova Scotia who are watching thousands of dead fish, starfish, crabs, clams, scallops and lobster wash up on the shore. Residents of Plympton, a small community in Digby County, say they have been finding dead herring on the shore of St. Mary's Bay for more than a month, but recently other marine life has started washing up dead. Dead fish have also been found on the shores of the Annapolis Basin. 'We started finding starfish, crabs, flounder. We found ocean perch and then yesterday we started finding scallops on the beach and like I said everything's dead... we'd like to know what's going on,' said Karl Cole."

Quote: "Leighton said he's most struck by the assortment of species Hewey and others found on Boxing Day. Other than most likely all being from the bottom of St. Mary's Bay, Leighton can't see any other obvious link."

Note: Hydrogen sulfide emanates from the bottom of bodies of water, so the fact that the creatures that are dying here are all bottom-dwellers is a big clue. This all started at least as far back as 2002, when marine life started fleeing the depths off the coast of the Pacific Northwest, but now the problem is spreading around the world. In the Permian-Triassic extinction event, around 96% of marine species went extinct. The extinction event currently under way looks to be a repeat of the Permian-Triassic extinction event, so marine life will die off the hardest (as has already been the case over the past several years), but most species on land - 70% or more - will also die, especially species that require lots of oxygen or which reproduce/mature slowly, like human beings...
