Event Update For 2016-02-28

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

2016-02-28 - Hydrogen sulfide seeping from the ground in Durango (Colorado):

Quote: "The riverside signs begin with the word 'DANGER' in red. When a sign’s salutation reads 'DANGER,' what follows is generally not very cheerful. And so it is along La Posta Road. 'Harmful levels of hydrogen sulfide are seeping from the ground,' the signs say. People and pets 'should avoid or quickly pass through any location in this vicinity where you smell a rotten egg odor.' Exposure could cause nausea, eye and lung irritation and headaches 'even with brief exposure,' the signs caution."

Quote: "'We did some testing with monitoring equipment several years back, and the hydrogen sulfide from that location was so high it actually broke our sensors,' he said."

Note: So deadly poison gas is oozing from the ground there in concentrations so high that it broke their sensors! Okay, Durango, you just went to the top of the list of places I won't be going anytime soon...

2016-02-28 - Massive plume of carbon monoxide hits the West Coast in the US:

Quote: "Carbon Monoxide Spikes to 27,000+ [ppb] Where 'Usual' is only around 150 [ppb] on West Coast - May Signal Coming MASSIVE Earthquake"

Quote: "The initial symptoms of low to moderate CO poisoning are similar to the flu (but without the fever). They include: Headache, Fatigue, Shortness of breath, Nausea, Dizziness..."

Note: It could mean that a quake or volcanic eruption has already happened too, presumably somewhere west of the West Coast, like out in the ocean. Or possibly a big cloud of methane erupted from the Pacific Ocean somewhere and combusted and this carbon monoxide is the leftovers from that. So all in the last year in California: 1) the largest number of hydrogen sulfide 'odor advisories' I've ever seen were issued, especially in the Salton Sea area; 2) the largest methane leak in US history occurred in Porter Ranch; 3) the water turned pink at a bird refuge in coastal Santa Barbara, caused by bacteria that eat hydrogen sulfide and which ONLY exist in waters containing hydrogen sulfide; and 4) a gigantic cloud of carbon monoxide has hit the coast. Things that make you go, 'Hmmmm.'

  1. Geez, Jonny - things look to be accelerating with this report. i mean, look at all those BOATS being destroyed in a single fire! THAT'S gonna be an expensive insurance claim. It also seems like there are more car fires now than ever before, but it's an on-going thing, not a one-time deal, and may increase yet again.

That carbon monoxide eruption in CA bears watching.

Airplanes still having problems (and it won't go away any time soon).

Too many people keeling over doing (once) innocuous activities to be comfortable upon reflection.

Good to see tap root stopping by a little more regularly - i wish most of your readers would do the same.

  2. So, I was doing some research on methane and carbon monoxide. Turns out, if you burn methane in a low-oxygen environment, that causes incomplete combustion and produces carbon monoxide. So what happens when the ocean belches up a big bubble of methane? If it's concentrated enough then as soon as it hits the surface, it may self-ignite. As it burns, that burning will eat up the oxygen in the area, so the environment suddenly becomes low-oxygen, and further methane burning then burns incompletely, which could result in a large cloud of carbon monoxide. They've already found the clathrates off both coasts dissociating, so perhaps that process has escalated now to the point that the oceans are now occasionally burping up some big clouds of self-igniting methane that are burning off and leaving behind large clouds of carbon monoxide. If that's not already happening - and that would explain that sudden cloud of carbon monoxide blowing in off the ocean in California - then it's just a matter of time until that DOES start happening.

  3. Oh, wait - so the cloud of CO was blowing IN off the OCEAN?

Ah, man - i gotta pay better attention. That would TOTALLY explain it! The way i read it, the cloud came from inland (specifically the fault zone area) and blew OUT.

Scribbler's piece indicated that they didn't know where the cloud came from, but he suspected the usual burning of fossil fuels as the culprit, but admitted that the cloud could have come from, say, China - where atmospheric pollution from factories is extraordinarily high at times. He didn't even CONSIDER the clathrate problem Jonny! i think you may have the answer.

  4. Thanks Jonny and Tom et al. for your commentary. No doubt things are ramping up and it's now academic what's the main culprit. JJFH is looking altogether very credible and just chucking Fukushima ( aside from lots of other crappy stuff that's happening ) on top of that, I'd have to say from what that's (Fuku) contributing to the destruction of the biosphere, that we are all in big trouble and it's only gonna get much worse and very quickly. Lots and lots of strange fires, and other types of things similar to what you so document so well here Jonny, around Sydney town and everywhere in Australia generally.

One thing that really stikes me is the paucity of life in evidence down at the beach. Or is that On The Beach ? Creepy.

Best to you and yours from Sydney town (NSW, Australia ). Time for a coffee and maybe a dip in the briny ! The national football( rugby league ) comp starts this weekend so all's well regardless.
