Event Update For 2014-03-16

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

The island's emergency management office says the fire brigade has dispatched seven water trucks to the Riverton City solid waste dump on the outskirts of Kingston. The fire started early Sunday. Officials are warning people to stay indoors as much as possible to avoid exposure to the billowing smoke and pollutants."

Quote: "Provincial governor Kanit Iamrahong said he called a meeting of officials in tambon Praeksa yesterday and declared the site a disaster zone to keep people out of the area and make it easier for emergency services battling to put out the fire."
Note: From the full hypothesis: "Trash-related facilities such as recycling centers and landfills will burn hard too, as hydrogen sulfide is absorbed into flammable absorbent materials like wood, paper, cardboard, straw, hay, dried brush, generic trash, clothing, cotton, wool."

'I've been in the service in Dartmouth for 12 years and I've never had a boat fire until this week - now I've had two and it's been a real eye opener,' Mr Callan said. However, the fires have not been linked and the fire service believes both were accidental."

Note: Paywall there, but they had a summary available so I quoted that. Newport surrounds a good chunk of South Bay...

2014-03-16 - Brush fire breaks out near Clarks Creek in Geary County (Kansas), fire destroys tractor, barn, hut, hay:

Quote: "Taylor confirmed there was some content insurance, but only liability insurance on a 4020 John Deere tractor that burned. The blaze began as a grass and brush fire. 'It come from the west somehow. Nobody knows really where it started, but it was down on Clarks Creek somewhere. The west wind just took it up over the hill, and it come across some wheat stubble from last year, got through a shelter belt, and got in the hay barn.'"

Note: Fires are breaking out near bodies of water and then going with the wind, so this fire started by the creek west of this man's property, then the wind took the fire right to him and wiped out a chunk of his farm. Living near - and especially downwind of - bodies of water or other low-lying areas is becoming very dangerous...

2014-03-16 - Construction business damaged by fire in Gifford (Illinois):

2014-03-16 - Mixed-use building erupts in flame in coastal Santa Monica (California), 5 injured:

Note: Santa Monica Bay experienced a 'naturally occurring methane release' in 2013, as mentioned in the 2013-03-03 update, where people called in to report a bad smell. The smell wasn't methane, since methane is odorless. The smell was probably hydrogen sulfide and the 'naturally occurring event' was the chemocline abruptly rising to the surface and releasing methane and hydrogen sulfide that had accumulated at the bottom of the bay into the atmosphere...

2014-03-16 - Dryer bursts into flame on porch at home in Rochester (New York), near Lake Ontario:

2014-03-16 - Porch bursts into flame at home in coastal New Bedford (Massachusetts):

Quote: "Despite the fact that the building was equipped with fire sprinklers, 18 units caught fire."

Note: These apartments are/were about 1 mile east (downwind) of Vancouver Lake and also near the Columbia River. Also, numerous people have mentioned having flammable tapwater in the last coupla years. What happens if a sprinkler system sprays flammable water on a fire? It probably isn't gonna put the fire out and might make it worse. Not saying that was the case here, but who knows, and is anybody checking on who has flammable water now? Not really...

2014-03-16 - High-rise apartment hit by fire at 1:30 AM in coastal Brooklyn (New York), 4 children burned:

2014-03-16 - Vacant home under renovation destroyed by massive fire in West Vancouver (Canada):

Quote: "This is the third upscale home to be destroyed by fire on the North Shore in the past three months."

Note: Address listed is about half a mile northeast (downwind) of the ocean. At least one of the stories says the home was 'heavily damaged'. LMAO, look at the pic in that first link. If that's 'heavily damaged' then I don't know what 'destroyed' would be...

2014-03-16 - Vacant animal clinic burns in Billerica (Massachusetts):

2014-03-16 - Dozens of birds found dead on road in Bolton (Britain):

Quote: "Eyewitnesses reported hearing a loud bang before finding the birds in an 'X-Files-like' experience, as if they had 'fallen from the sky'."

Note: Sounds like they got hit by one of those 'mysterious explosions' that have been alarming people all over the world the last couple of years, and these are likely atmospheric methane and/or hydrogen sulfide plumes finding an ignition source and detonating. A small explosion right near a flock of birds could certainly kill them and knock them out of the sky. We might start seeing helicopters being knocked out of the sky by a 'flash of light' and passenger planes might start disappearing. Oh right, that's already happening...

2014-03-16 - Huge number of fish washing ashore dead at beaches in Manzanillo (Mexico):

When a worker of the bakery tapped on the car’s glass to hand over the prepared food, there was no response and he thought the vehicle’s occupants had fallen asleep."

Note: So these two guys ordered food and by the time it was ready, they'd both died, or at least they were unconscious and dying. Well, hydrogen sulfide can kill you with one breath. A gas plume swoops out of the sky, invisible, hits a car, the occupants die, and the plume blows on. It'd only take seconds, like a chemical bullet to the brain/heart...

2014-03-16 - Woman, 53, found dead in driveway at home in Milwaukee (Wisconsin), near Lake Michigan, nearby man has heart problems:

Quote: "Meanwhile, that incident might have helped a man survive a cardiac event nearby in Wauwatosa. About 10 a.m., as the Milwaukee firefighters were returning to their station, they were flagged down by a passenger in a car that had just struck a tree near W. Blue Mound Road and S. 69th St. in Wauwatosa. The male driver of that car had suffered some kind of heart problem and was unresponsive."

Crossley says the pilot assured the passengers he could land the plane, but then Crossley says the the pilot was brutally honest and said he couldn't promise anything beyond that."

2014-03-16 - Officials give up on evicting pythons from the Everglades (Florida):

Quote: "Only in Florida can a search for one invasive monster lead to the discovery of another. On a balmy Sunday recently, a group of volunteers called Swamp Apes was searching for pythons in Everglades National Park when it stumbled on something worse: a Nile crocodile, lurking in a canal near Miami suburbs. It was an all-points alarm, prompting an emergency response by experts from the national park, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and the University of Florida. They joined the Swamp Apes and wrestled the reptile out of the canal. Nile crocs are highly aggressive man-eaters known to take down huge prey in Africa, and officials worried that the one in the canal might be breeding in the swamp since it was first spotted two years ago."

Quote: "Up to 100,000 pythons are estimated to be living in the Everglades, and more than 1,500 thrill-seekers, amateurs and skilled hunters who flocked to the event from across the country caught only 68. Pythons are excellent at stealth. Trackers with the U.S. Geological Survey have stood a few feet from them — with radio transmitters — and failed to see them. In the challenge, 24 hunters with permits caught 42 snakes. More than 1,500 others caught 26."

Note: Hah, I said that a while ago - there's no getting rid of the pythons. They're everywhere now, entrenched, part of the environment, and they're also very sneaky and hard to track down. They'll spread out from Florida too, expanding westward toward the Louisiana bayous and swamps. Maybe it's not too late to stop the spread of Nile crocodiles though. Also, a Nile crocodile?! Probably some idiot who thought one would make a good pet who found out otherwise and let it go...

  1. Long time reader & fan, thank you for injecting a little gallows humor into your commentary - much needed!
I laughed out loud at your VERY APT comic re: GLPers.
Thank you for all your work. I have shared this site with a select few. One is an artist and I have noticed his artwork has changed radically since the "reveal".
We all deal with things in our own ways.

    1. Glad someone - anyone - appreciates my attempts at humor. Sorry it's so gallowsy but ya work with what ya got!

  2. Jonny:

the 50 lbs of pot remark was spectacular!

The Who has a new song out: Naked Bus!

Scuffletown Road, where the badasses live, eh?

Your Pet Cemetery remark was good zombie talk and the plunging car "hitting the beach" - too much! I been rope-a-doped with this post!

Great update. You know, if these posts keep getting longer and more intense, as they seem to be, you'll only need one headline at some point: Everything's On Fire!
