Event Update For 2014-03-14

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

Note: Some people will believe it's demonic possession or aliens too. They tried to blame bath salts for the original face-eater incident on the coast in Florida too. Turned out, all he had in his system was a little trace marijuana. Obviously they didn't do a chemical analysis of this man's blood on the spot there, so they're just assuming. Looks like 'bath salts' will be the 'go-to' explanation that they'll try to use for these events - gotta have something other than the truth to sell the sleepy public. Just because a person acts insane and is incoherent and naked doesn't indicate bath salts. These days, if they're going to make any assumption at all - which they shouldn't - then hydrogen sulfide would be the more likely cause and the more logical assumption, what with all the cities being hit with strange odors, especially this last year or so. As Jenkem users have noted, hydrogen sulfide warms you up, which is why there are so many crazy NAKED people:

Quote: "They say it keeps them warm and makes them fearless."

Note: Also, bath salts (or crack, or meth, or heroin, or any other drug) and hydrogen sulfide poisoning are not mutually exclusive, else we could all get permanently high and live happily ever after, except for all the fires and explosions...

  1. Hey Jonny:

I agree with your statement (wonder) that all the delivery vehicles burning up is affecting supply lines - it's bound to (and will most likely get worse going forward).

Now about your lede story: wouldn't it start to become a bit more obvious that something (other than 'arson') would cause a fire like this to spread so quickly when no one was around? I don't understand why the fire experts aren't seeing this (or maybe they are but don't want to 'spook the herd').

PA a daily contributor. Hey, why aren't the island countries like Cuba and Guam, Indonesia and all the others having these types of incidents (or are they not covered in the newsfeeds you scan)? We only see a few and only every now and again, when you'd expect there to be a far higher number of incidents with a country surrounded by water.

I see Paris is becoming the new China.

This morning I saw this article:

Planet shaken by spasm of moderate earthquakes over last 24 hours

    1. Got me on the fire officials. Seems to me that they're gonna look pretty mmmm...un-alert. Nice way to say it there!

As for the other countries, if someone doesn't take the time to translate it to English, and for whatever reason search engines don't pick it up even if it IS translated into English, then I'm not apt to see it, so UNDOUBTEDLY there is a lot of big stuff burning and exploding, and we just don't hear about it. If it's something huge, like that skyscraper on fire in China and the one in Dubai (both on coasts), then it's more apt to get some press by an English-speaking source, so I hope I'm not missing too many of the huge stories, but no way to tell for sure.

Also, who knows where the gases really are at any specific time, either the methane or the hydrogen sulfide. Sometimes a town gets hit in widespread fashion by a big plume and there's a bunch of 911 calls, but it's probably blowing around in smaller pockets everywhere too. Some places will simply get hit worse than others. Could be some islands just aren't all that downwind of a major source. (Wouldn't count on it staying that way though.)

  2. Right. Here's another question. I drive through the countryside (lots of huge farms - big acreage) and some have those giant electrical right of ways with the big metal supports for the catenary to pass through, generally 6 lines of about 100,000 volts each to carry the grid across the landscape; I wonder what would happen if a cloud of H2S were to blow through - would the electric infrastructure actually ignite it? Has it happened yet? Probably only a matter of time. One of the biggest outages we had on the east coast was ultimately caused by a tree taking down a transmission line and causing cascading failure all the way up the coast & into Canada.

    1. I haven't seen one of those big metal supports catch fire yet. Hopefully they're protecting the copper from the atmosphere, which they'd want to do anyway, even in the best of times. But cascading failure if one of those big lines ignites - seems possible. Check this video out, from Lachine (Canada), right next to the St. Lawrence River:

A transformer started sparking this morning here in St. Louis and caught two houses on fire. I remember a few days ago I mentioned that people might wanna look around and see if they have any transformers within falling-on-your-house distance. Sparking-on-your-house distance is probably even closer than that. I have one at the back of my back yard, about 60 feet from the house. They did come through last year and replace pretty much every pole in this area though, so hopefully that work was to reduce the risk. Guess they may not have gotten to South St. Louis yet, which is where those two houses burned.

I'm somewhat paranoid about all electrical infrastructure now, big towers, substations, neighborhood transformers, wiring in the house, in my freakin' cellphone (because some have exploded and burned), everything.
