Event Update For 2013-11-19

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

http://news.silobreaker.com/dump-fire-smoke-affecting-mon-repos-residents-5_2267254691932930090

Note: From the full hypothesis: "Trash-related facilities such as recycling centers and landfills will burn hard too, as hydrogen sulfide is absorbed into flammable absorbent materials like wood, paper, cardboard, straw, hay, dried brush, generic trash, clothing, cotton, wool."

2013-11-19 - Home explodes and collapses in Attayampatti (India), 5 killed, 4 injured:

http://newindianexpress.com/nation/Three-killed-eight-injured-in-gas-cylinder-explosion/2013/11/20/article1901191.ece

Quote: "They said the explosion occured after the woman tried to light the gas stove unaware of a leak in the cylinder."

Note: How do they know there was a leak in the cylinder? They don't; it's just an assumption. Gas from cylinders isn't the only flammable gas in the atmosphere these days. What do they think is causing those giant neighborhood-shaking explosions with flashes of light in the skies, witnessed by many all over the world these last couple of years? They aren't aware of those? Hah, well then, they're not very informed...

2013-11-19 - Travel trailer explodes and burns near Alvarado (Texas), 4 injured:

http://thescoopblog.dallasnews.com/2013/11/four-injured-in-johnson-co-fire-in-rv-park.html/

Quote: "One of the victims told emergency responders that the roof immediately turned blue with flames after a cigarette was lit inside the trailer, Jones said. Jones said investigators believe the fire and explosion started due to a leak in a propane tank mounted on the trailer’s front tow hitch."

Note: The ROOF turned blue with flames. Are these fire officials unaware that propane is a heavier-than-air gas? Seems like an important thing to know if dealing with fires is your job. It sounds more like methane in this case, which would tend to accumulate at the ceiling once it infiltrates a structure. Also, these people apparently smelled nothing, but they should have been able to smell an explosive amount of propane. Methane, on the other hand, is odorless...

Quote: "Officials at the scene stated that there were no reports of injuries. Employees of the industrial plant had not gotten to work yet."

Note: Hydrogen sulfide is reactive with rusty iron/steel. This fire was basically the same as all the auto scrapyards and metal recycling centers burning...

Quote: "A truck driver confronted flames billowing out from beneath his semi-trailer near the rear axle..."

Note: The hair loss could be from high UV levels as the ozone layer dissolves and the upper atmosphere fills with methane, making the Sun whiter, brighter and more intense. Whales and dolphins were showing lesions from UV poisoning in 2010, so that rules out Fukushima. Most people have by now noticed the changes in the appearance of the Sun. It's not a change in the Sun, but a change in the atmosphere through which we view the Sun. You may notice physiological changes in your own body because of this, such as a weakened immune system, sleep problems, memory problems; too much of that white Sun (too little of the old yellow Sun) interferes with the body's ability to produce melatonin, which affects the immune system and sleep and memory, among other things...

2013-11-19 - Underwater volcanic eruption spawns new island near Japan:
http://www.volcanodiscovery.com/nishino-shima/news/38948/Nishima-Shima-volcano-Japan-submarine-volcanic-eruption-gives-birth-to-new-island.html

Note: More indication that the worldwide rise in volcanic eruptions is not limited to volcanoes on land, but includes those underwater, and those eruptions are surely what's causing oceanic temps to rise, which is melting the methane clathrate deposits and improving the habitat for the ancient bacteria and archaea that produce hydrogen sulfide. And that makes complete sense. Of the 3 million volcanoes on Earth, probably 80 percent of them are in the oceans, where the crust is thinnest. So when you see 10 land-based volcanic eruptions, you can infer that there are likely 40 more occurring in the oceans, whether we're aware of them (or told about them) or not...

  1. What are your predictions for Earth 5 years from now? How many survivors will there be? In order to survive will people need to constantly use oxygen when outdoors and will homes need to be 100% sealed with oxygen generators used inside? How much new volcanic land will surface in the oceans? Will Earth even be inhabitable for most life-forms 5 years from now?

    1. You got me. Five years out isn't looking too good though! Arguably, you should be wearing HazMat suits outside NOW, lest you end up being one of the 'so-and-so drops dead' statistics. Ditto where you live, needs to be protected NOW, lest you end up one of the 'home explodes and kills everyone inside' statistics.

How many survivors? Excellent question. Let's call that variable X. If we were to face the problem head-on, unite all countries under the purpose of surviving, marshall all resources, not go crazy, work together effectively, get on a wartime footing...then X would be a lot larger than it would be otherwise. In other words, we can't fragment and get small. In fact, we need to get as big as we possibly can. A fragmented 'every nation for itself' mentality will see X shrink dramatically from what it could be. That difference could be your life, or mine, or anyone's.

So, we'll just have to see what we see. The human race has never faced a planetary-scale species-wide threat like this, so one can't make any predictions at all based on prior experience. In the end, the survivors, numbering X - whatever X turns out to be - will have to more or less abandon the surface of the Earth, except maybe for scavenging resources.

Unfortunately I don't see this happening anytime soon.
Maybe it will happen 5 years from now!

So far this ELE is killing us off by degrees so the bulk of the population
hasn't noticed anything but when, for example, a coastal school full of kids dies from methane &/or H2S gases then that will be the
      'club-to-the-head' moment.

All of these college kids that are dying from 'natural causes' speaks volumes but how much of that could be attributable to radiation from Fukushima. Like the deaths from H2S & Methane, death from weakened heart muscles (or other damaged internal organs) via radiation would also be hard to detect during an autopsy unless they were specifically looking for it and even then may be impossible to confirm in most cases.

    3. Well, consider Fukushima as being, say, 10 Chernobyls. Chernobyl killed, what, 0.01% of the population? With lingering effects, maybe 0.1% of the population, or 7 million people. And two or three decades after Chernobyl and there's little sign it ever happened, except in the local area there (and even there, life is making a comeback already). So maybe, in time (which we don't have), Fukushima might kill off 1% of the population (or 70 million people).

These ancient oceanic extinction events have killed 100% of the population of 90% of all species before, and full recovery took 30 MILLION YEARS after the Permian-Triassic. Fukushima isn't remotely even in the same ballpark in terms of the threat. (Though once the grid goes down, we may see another 250 Fukushimas.)

That's why 'they' aren't concerned with Fukushima. If we're going to be gassed and incinerated and blown up and starved from biosphere die-off and irradiated from rising UV levels then our corpses really aren't going to care if they're a bit radioactive too. If you can't survive the big problem then all the other problems become a bit meaningless. And if we CAN figure out a way to survive a flammable atmosphere filled with deadly poisonous hydrogen sulfide then by default whatever method we use to survive THAT would also probably protect us from radioactive particles too (which are far larger than hydrogen sulfide molecules). Solve the big problem, the little problem gets solved too. The reverse isn't true though. Solve the little problem and the big problem will still kill you.

    4. So we can get an idea of what the future holds for Earth, are there any planets in our solar system that already have experienced this type of methane/H2S ELE event?

      Delete
    5. Nope, no other planet has the right combination: large water bodies and anaerobic sulfate-reducing bacteria and archaea. Only Earth has the right environment for this to occur and because Earth DOES have the right environment for this to occur, it keeps occurring. We can already know what to expect though, from previous extinction events: widespread die-off of oxygen-using life, the extinction of most species (insects, arachnids, fungi, some plant species and bacteria will survive the best), followed by a very slow recovery and an explosion in new species.
