Event Update For 2013-06-14

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

2013-06-14 - Gas to be released into the London Underground to learn about potential spread of poisonous gases:
Quote: "Tests are set to be carried out on the London Underground to see how quickly poisonous gases could spread across the Tube network. The aim is to create a better understanding of how to respond in the event of them being deliberately or accidentally released."
Note: New York City is doing the same thing for the subway system there, the most expensive such study ever performed, as mentioned in the 2013-04-26 update. All cities with subway systems would be wise to perform such studies, because hydrogen sulfide is a heavier-than-air gas and it will tend to flow to low-lying areas, like underground facilities of all types, including subways. It's also a highly lethal gas, as deadly as hydrogen cyanide, which is what they use in gas chambers to execute people. If your air is 99.9% clean and 0.1% hydrogen sulfide (1 part per thousand), then one or two breaths can kill you, the so-called 'Slaughterhouse Sledgehammer Effect', where you are dead before you hit the ground...

2013-06-14 - Underground electrical explosion blows grate up 4 feet in Tuscon (Arizona), 1 injured:

Note: Hydrogen sulfide is a heavier-than-air gas, it is highly flammable, and it is reactive with copper, especially electrified copper, like that found in underground electrical infrastructure. There have been many such events just like this, especially in the last three months or so, in towns and cities all over. I mentioned awhile back that you might wanna be careful about parking or even walking near manholes or grates because of this problem. That's apparently how the man got injured, by the grate. Cars have also ignited from the flames coming from manholes in other such events...

Residents several kilometres away from the blast on The Lakes Way in Tuncurry reported hearing a loud bang and feeling their windows shake when the explosion occurred just before 11am on Friday."

Anyone can be killed this way at any time now. You won't see the clouds of hydrogen sulfide - they're invisible - but they can still kill you all the same, by poisoning or by fire or by explosion or by more indirect effects like knocking another driver unconscious who then hits you. Your odds of safely getting from Point A to Point B in a vehicle are undoubtedly still good, but those odds are also steadily worsening...

Quote: "The elderly couple who were found this morning in a condo in Tequesta suffered medical episodes..."

Note: Say, that's exactly what breathing hydrogen sulfide causes: medical episodes. That'd also explain why they BOTH suffered a 'medical episode' simultaneously: they were in the same condo and some gas got inside, killed one, knocked the other unconscious. Also, Florida again, the 'Land of Mysterious Deaths', downwind of the dead zones in the Gulf of Mexico, which are surely pluming hydrogen sulfide now...

Quote: "Officials said an odor was making students sick. 'We had a bunch of people that were passing out,' added Arroyo. 'They felt nauseous, faint and some of them needed drinks and everything.' 'People were getting sick,' explained Cruz. 'Stomach pain, headaches, people were fainting.' We were told students from classrooms 106 and 107 were separated from the group. Some had to be washed down and decontaminated on site. In all, 10 people were sent to local hospitals for evaluation."

Quote: "...after crews swept the school, they couldn't find the source of the odor and said nothing hazardous was found. Classes were canceled and the building was shut down for the rest of the day."

Note: Did they have an H2S detector? It's possible an invisible cloud of hydrogen sulfide blew by that school and got sucked into the air circulation system then distributed through the school via ducting. Someday - probably sooner rather than later - that's going to happen and there's going to be a school full of dead students...

Quote: "Two developments could bring the state closer to taking over the Fenimore Landfill — which has been emitting hydrogen sulfide gas at such high levels township officials are drawing up evacuation plans."

Note: Landfills and sewers are actually traditional sources of hydrogen sulfide, though I've never heard of it being such a problem before that a city would draw up evacuation plans because of it. As the volcanic activity around the Earth picks up and heats up the waters, the waters of the Earth hold less oxygen, creating 'dead zones' where the ancient anaerobic bacteria that produce hydrogen sulfide reproduce and do their thing. Basically, the waters of the Earth are becoming more 'landfill-like'. I'm sure it hasn't helped matters any that we've dumped ungodly amounts of trash and sewage into the oceans either, and all of that biomass is food for those ancient bacteria, and they will, in effect, turn our trash and excrement into deadly hydrogen sulfide...

2013-06-14 - Teen, 17, found on side of road with severe burns in Littlehampton (Britain):

Quote: "Police said it appears he may have sustained the injuries having been near to a high voltage power supply."

Note: As is, this story doesn't make a lot of sense. Did a high voltage power supply drive by and zap this guy almost to death? Or did he get zapped almost to death and then decide to take a stroll? Or did some methane or hydrogen sulfide blow by, ignite (via cigarette, joint, static electricity, cellphone), and that badly burned him? He's critical now and may die, so no one may ever be able to ask him what happened...

2013-06-14 - Firefighters practice fighting massive flames on passenger planes in St. Paul (Minnesota):
