Event Update For 2020-10-27

http://jumpingjackflashhypothesis.blogspot.com/2012/02/jumping-jack-flash-hypothesis-its-gas.html

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

  1. Good (rainy) afternoon Jonny, everyone. i trust everyone is still safe and sound.

Unsuspicious deaths: when two or more people die in the same place at roughly the same time and there are no obvious signs of foul play. Oh, yeah, uhm - happens all the time . . ..

Orange County’s Silverado Fire similar to 2007 Santiago Fire
    https://wildfiretoday.com/2020/10/29/orange-countys-silverado-fire-similar-to-2007-santiago-fire/

There are similarities between the Silverado Fire that has been burning since Monday in Orange County, California, and the Santiago Fire of 2007.

They started near the intersection of Santiago Canyon and Silverado Canyon roads.
They both started in late October, the 21st and 26th.
After spreading for two days, their footprints were similar.
They burned with a Santa Ana wind during drought conditions.
Firefighters were entrapped on both fires. Two suffered serious burns and are still hospitalized from the Silverado Fire. On the Santiago Fire twelve had to deploy fire shelters for protection from the flames, but there were no injuries.

Firefighters burned at Silverado Fire are still hospitalized

The two firefighters on an Orange County hand crew that were seriously injured Monday on the Silverado Fire in Southern California, suffering second and third degree burns, are still in critical condition. Their names have not been released. The firefighters were intubated when they were admitted to the hospital, but they are still fighting, Orange County Fire Authority Chief Brian Finnessy said Wednesday morning.

“The families would be so grateful to receive cards or letters,” the Chief said. “They are just now realizing how the fire and aviation family comes together during times like this.”

Has the post-election stock market crash already begun?
    http://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/archives/has-the-post-election-stock-market-crash-already-begun

Is this rush for the exits going to turn into a stampede? Stock prices have been plummeting in recent days, and most of the talking heads on television have been blaming the declines on the COVID-19 pandemic. Yes, it is true that the number of confirmed cases in the United States is spiking again, but I don’t think that alone is enough to account for what we have been witnessing. Instead, I believe that the primary reason why stocks have been tumbling is because there is so much uncertainty about what is going to take place next week. Investors hate uncertainty, and it appears that many of them would prefer to be on the sidelines rather than gamble on the outcome of this election.

On Wednesday, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down another 943 points, and that was the worst day that we have seen since June 11th… [more]

Scientists Estimate 366 Right Whales Remain On Earth
    http://www.fasterthanexpected.com/2020/10/26/scientists-estimate-366-right-whales-remain-on-earth/

Federal scientists are adjusting their estimate of how many endangered North Atlantic right whales are left on the planet down to 366 as of Jan. 2019. That’s a loss of 46 whales since the previous January.

And conservation groups say that since Jan. 2019, scientists have documented 11 more right whale fatalities. The whales are being killed by ship strikes and entanglements with fishing gear. [more; ah, but they're ALSO being HUNTED, and dying from pollution and lack of food like all the rest of marine life]

Trump to gut protections in Alaska’s Tongass forest, the ‘lungs of the country’
    http://www.fasterthanexpected.com/2020/10/28/trump-to-gut-protections-in-alaskas-tongass-forest-the-lungs-of-the-country/

The Trump administration has announced it will lift protections in Alaska’s Tongass national forest, permitting logging in the world’s largest intact temperate rainforest.

Experts call the Tongass the “lungs of the country” and one of nation’s last remaining bulwarks against climate change. Located on the southern coast of Alaska, it is made up of centuries-old western cedar, hemlock and Sitka spruce trees, and is home to immense biodiversity, including the largest-known concentration of bald eagles.

The administration’s decision ignores overwhelming public support for keeping protections in place on the Tongass, including resolutions from six south-east Alaska tribes and six south-east Alaska city councils against lifting protections. Of the public comments solicited on the plan, 96% were in favor of keeping protections in place. [more]

From a Wealthy Socialite to an Israeli Govt Censor, Facebook’s New “Free Speech Court” Is Anything but Independent
    https://www.mintpressnews.com/facebook-free-speech-court-oversight-board-independent/272330/

Mark Zuckerberg’s de facto monopoly over online peer-to-peer communication tools has given Facebook an inordinate amount of influence over the political narratives at both national and regional levels, which it has shown a willingness exercise with topics like the Philippines and Palestine.

Emi Palmor, for example, presents a much more alarming profile. One of 16 non-chair members of the board, Palmor is a former General Director of the Israeli Ministry of Justice, she was directly responsible for the removal of tens of thousands of Palestinian posts from Facebook. Before being fired from that job, Palmor had created the so-called “Internet Referral Unit” at the ministry; a cybersecurity team that deliberately targeted and took down the aforementioned content, and whose nomination to the Facebook oversight board was loudly protested by pro-Palestinian advocacy groups back in May. Hurricane ZETA is making landfall

LANDFALL! Direct Hit New Orleans; 110 MPH Sustained Winds

Hurricane ZETA is making landfall in Louisiana from the Gulf of Mexico at this hour, 6:35 PM Eastern US time. The eye of the storm will begin to pass directly over the city of New Orleans within an hour, with sustained winds of 110 MPH and gusts to 155 MPH.

Storm surge already occurring in the coastal marshlands is showing a ten meter (30 foot) surge of water being driven onshore by the storm! This catastrophic surge will knock down most buildings hit by it, and make roads completely impassable, preventing residents who chose to stay, from evacuating. If they stayed, it is too late for them now.

Video from an oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico show the ferocious power of this storm. In the brief video below, you can see FIFTY FOOT TALL WAVES striking the oil rig, and the backwash flowing over the deck which is twenty five feet higher! [JEEZ]

Dorsey Admits To Mob-Driven Censorship On Twitter During Heated Section 230 Hearing
    https://robinwestenra.blogspot.com/2020/10/jack-dorsey-admits-to-mob-driven.html

It's clear that Twitter's Jack Dorsey has perhaps unintentionally acknowledged that Twitter's unofficial moderating system is based simply on whoever shows the most outrage.

In response to questioning from Sen. Rick Scott, Dorsey replied:

“We don’t have a general policy around misleading information and misinformation... We rely upon people calling that speech out.” [more]

Major train derailment forces schools and businesses to evacuate in Texas community
    https://www.yahoo.com/news/major-train-derailment-forces-schools-162642920.html

The train derailed on tracks in Mauriceville, a small community about 100 miles east of Houston, on Thursday morning, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office. Drone photos show at least a dozen train cars crumpled on tracks along a state highway.

County officials asked schools, businesses and residents within a mile of the site to evacuate. Those a half-mile beyond the evacuation area had to shelter in place.

The derailment knocked out power for more than 2,300 customers, the Orange Leader reported.

The train was hauling chemicals, though local officials didn’t immediately know the types, KBMT reported.

Officials have not yet released information about the cause of the derailment. [more]

As Climate Disasters Pile Up, a Radical Proposal Gains Traction
    https://www.yahoo.com/news/climate-disasters-pile-radical-proposal-190057199.html

As the effects of climate change become more devastating, prominent research institutions and government agencies are focusing new money and attention on an idea once dismissed as science fiction: artificially cooling the planet, in the hopes of buying humanity more time to cut greenhouse gas emissions.

That strategy, called solar climate intervention or solar geoengineering, entails reflecting more of the sun’s energy back into space — abruptly reducing global temperatures in a way that mimics the effects of ash clouds spewed by volcanic eruptions. The idea has been derided as a dangerous and illusory fix, one that would encourage people to keep burning fossil fuels while exposing the planet to unexpected and potentially menacing side effects. 5. 8-inch hail, jeez, hope nobody was out in that! The many ferocious hailstorms in the last few years make me wonder if this isn't an underappreciated climate change threat. I mean, they're clearly getting worse - just how bad can they get? Whole cities devastated by basketball-sized hail bombs?
