The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.

There were 2,703 excess deaths across England and Wales in September, official figures show - but coronavirus was not in the 10 leading causes of fatality.
The leading cause of death in September for both nations was dementia and Alzheimer's disease.
However, coronavirus was the underlying cause of death in 11.5% of all deaths in England and 9% of those in Wales from January to September this year.
As cases have surged again in the second wave, millions of people are facing tougher lockdown rules in the next 24 hours.

Wild weather is wreaking havoc on crops around the world, sending their prices skyrocketing.
The Bloomberg Agriculture Spot Index, a gauge of nine crop prices, has risen 28% since late April to its highest level in more than four years. Wheat earlier this week was the most expensive since 2014.
The fallout from the pandemic means that the United Nations was already warning of a worst-case scenario in which about a tenth of the world's population would go hungry this year. Things could become more dire if grocery costs keep rising and even more people can't afford to eat.

Suicides have increased by nearly 90% among youths in Wisconsin's second-largest county when compared to last year.
"When people are lonely, it's really hard to cope," Director of Emergency Services at Journey Mental Health Center, Hannah Flanagan, said. "The specificity about COVID social distancing and isolation that we've come across as contributing factors to the suicides are really new to us this year."
There have been 15 suicides among people under the age of 24 in Dane County as of mid-September. The county saw eight suicides among that age group in all of 2019, with the five-year average of suicides sitting at 10. [more]

She's not the only one with misgivings. A Pew Research poll from late September showed that about half of US adults (51 percent) wouldn't get a COVID-19 vaccine if it was available today — a big drop from the 72 percent who said they'd get one back in May.

we're pretty sure that Biden committed a grave, perhaps fatal error toward the end when he declared war on oil and gas. As this morning's American Spectator column by yours truly notes, Biden's classic gaffe - defined as accidentally telling the truth - in which he admitted he would "transition" America away from oil almost assuredly will resonate in a bad way in a bunch of swing states (and maybe some which aren't). It seems hard to imagine he can win Pennsylvania or Ohio after having said that, it's certainly the end of any chance he had to make Texas competitive, and Trump might now have a shot at pulling out New Mexico and Colorado now that Biden has signaled the end of the economic future for the millions of Americans working in oil and gas. "It has to be replaced by renewable energy over time, over time. And I'd stop giving to the oil industry. I’d stop giving them federal subsidies," Biden said during the debate.

A 120-year-old record for most snowfall on an October day has been broken in Kelowna.
Kelowna is currently sitting at around 13 cm of snowfall for the day. [a little over 5"]
