Event Update For 2018-07-18

http://jumpingjackflashhypothesis.blogspot.com/2012/02/jumping-jack-flash-hypothesis-its-gas.html

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

Update Grand Teton National Park Crack: Rangers are monitoring the fissure in a rock buttress above the Hidden Falls viewing area near Jenny Lake – It is unknown how long the closure at Hidden Falls will be in effect

Grand Teton National Park staff are monitoring a crack in a rock buttress above the Hidden Falls viewing area near Jenny Lake. While the Hidden Falls viewing area is currently closed out of an abundance of caution, the Jenny Lake area—including Cascade Canyon, the loop trail around the lake, the shuttle boat, and a scenic hike along a cascade and up to a Jenny Lake viewpoint—is open. All-time records melt in northern Scandinavia – Extreme heat grips Japan and Korea

This week has been northern Scandinavia’s turn under the sizzling klieg lights, including Lapland (Sápmi), the region of northern Scandinavia famed for its reindeer and often associated with Christmas. New study quantifies the link between smoggy air and diabetes: air pollution triggers diabetes in 3.2 million people each year
    http://www.desdemonadespair.net/2018/07/new-study-quantifies-link-between.html

Fine particulate matter, belched out by cars and factories and generated through chemical reactions in the atmosphere, hang around as haze and make air hard to breathe. Air pollution has been linked to chronic conditions such as heart disease and diabetes (SN: 9/30/17, p. 18), but this study is one of the first attempts to quantify the connection for diabetes. Researchers tracked 1.7 million U.S. veterans for almost a decade to assess their risk of developing diabetes. They also used data from global studies on diabetes risk, as well as air quality data from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and NASA, to create equations that analyzed the connection between air pollution exposure and diabetes globally. http://ponziworld.blogspot.com/2018/07/theres-no-such-thing-as-free-money.html

Sadly, there's no such thing as unicorns, leprechauns, or free money. The truth is the exact opposite of what the Idiocracy believes. Trump's tax cut is not reflationary, it's deflationary: a giveaway to the ultra-wealthy paid for by the middle class via higher costs and higher interest rates. It won't work, other criminals have tried it already

Trump's newfound efforts to bring Fed policy into the Executive branch so as not to offset the impacts of his end-of-cycle tax cuts paid for with 100% borrowed money, are futile.

Trump's tax cut for the ultra-wealthy is crowding out consumption, real investment, housing, and of course, Emerging Markets [more]

Tropical storms’ forward movement has slowed, boosting rainfall, flooding
    http://texasclimatenews.org/?p=15156

Texans have suffered repeatedly from flooding when slow-moving storm systems from the Gulf stalled instead of passing through rapidly. That happened in Tropical Storm Allison in 2001, Hurricane Harvey in 2017 and an unnamed tropical disturbance last month.

More such inundations appear to lie ahead as global warming progresses, according to a new study published in the journal Nature. The author, a federal scientist, calculated that as heat-trapping pollution warmed the planet by about 0.5 degree C, tropical cyclones slowed down worldwide by an average 10 percent from 1949-2016. Slowing Gulf Stream current to boost warming for 20 years
    https://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-44875508

The prospect of the Gulf Stream slowing down and even stopping altogether has worried many experts in recent years.

Some believed that this would cause a rapid cooling around the world with resulting global chaos.

But a new study finds the Gulf Stream go-slow will have a significant impact on planetary temperatures, but not in a chilled out way. [more; so we got THAT goin' for us ..]

The collapse of Antarctica's most vulnerable ice shelves would just be the start of our problems
    https://mashable.com/2018/07/19/antarctica-ice-shelf-sea-level-rise/

There's a reasonable chance that Antarctica's two most vulnerable ice shelves — the ends of massive glaciers that float over the ocean — will succumb to Earth's warming climate and eventually collapse into the sea.

These particular shelves, known as Larsen C and George VI, are perched on the Antarctic Peninsula — the finger that runs up towards South America. Glacial scientists have now gauged how much oceans would rise if the ice shelves fail, and the news isn't good. [more]

Who Are The Real Traitors in The USA Today?
    https://www.sott.net/article/391505-Who-Are-The-Real-Traitors-in-The-USA-Today

speaking of treason, doesn't funding, training and arming groups like Al Qaeda, ISIS, and Al Nusra also constitute giving 'aid and comfort' to America's enemies and therefore fit the definition of treason?? And as such, is it not the collective of US intelligence agencies that the real traitors here?

Under John Brennan's watch the CIA was caught using foreign airlines to smuggles tons of weaponry to Al-Qaeda and associates in Syria. The linked report featured 'exhaustive documentation' proving beyond a shadow of a doubt CIA complicity in the arming of terrorist groups. Obama admitted he and the 'intelligence community' allowed for the rise of ISIS because it was convenient for them. And of course the Pentagon was caught running a giant weapons pipeline from the Balkans to Iraq and Syria, arming jihadis along the way.

So, if we want to talk treason, then by all means let's do so. But let's talk about the real treason that has been festering at the heart of the USA for decades. [more]
