Event Update For 2018-02-04

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

Keeping the world below 2°C of warming needs tech we don’t have
    https://arstechnica.com/science/2018/02/carbon-dioxide-removal-tech-is-behind-schedule/

The analysis is well known to everyone who has paid even a little attention: the world hasn’t yet done enough to lessen the impacts of climate change. The last Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change report included greenhouse gas emissions scenarios that could limit global warming to two degrees Celsius or less, but we’re not even close to a trajectory that would achieve any of them.

But there’s something about those two-degrees scenarios you may not know, which climate scientists have been talking a lot about recently. Those scenarios involved a substantial deployment of technologies to actively remove CO2 from the atmosphere. Without those technologies, we’re even further from sufficient emissions cuts.

Reforestation and accumulating carbon in agricultural soils are probably the easiest options to make progress on, for example, but we’re currently still doing the opposite of these things: deforestation and soil degradation are adding to our greenhouse gas emissions, not counteracting them. What surprised Garrett and colleagues in their research, he said, was the degree to which pollution appeared to affect the Arctic clouds. Using satellite imagery and air-quality data to track cloud patterns and pollution, Garrett and others found the Arctic clouds were two to eight times more sensitive to the presence of pollution than previous studies suggested. Current estimates for the January monthly mean are ~408 ppm – another Record-Making High for January has been set (once the final figures are published.)

408 ppm is +1.18 higher than last month (December 2017), and is +1.87 above the previous record high for January of 406.13 ppm (January 2017).

408 ppm is +22.45 higher than a decade ago when CO2 was only 385.52 ppm in January 2008.

This indicates an average growth rate of +2.25 ppm per year for the month of January.

This means that the 2017-2018 growth rate of +1.87/yr is -0.38 (or 16.9%) below the January average. This is not a significant deviation from the long term trend.

In fact, it represents a recent short-term annual Growth Rate of +2.67 PPM for January in the last 3 years, which is significantly higher than the decadal growth rate of +2.25 per year (above). [more]

For a slit second I thought I was going to have a repeat experience of blacking out, like at the beach a number of years ago. Fortunately I just stayed present and sat down to dinner. After dinner and some good CA wine I felt better and didn't think anything of it.

As we've already seen here (see picture in header), H2S that we're absolutely sure is wafting around in the air now (and we can safely assume the concentration is increasing) has the side-effect, in low dosage, to cause this behavior whereby one loses their mind, So hallucination is in the same ball park, say at a much less lethal dose of H2S as causes personality disorder and complete madness.

    1. I think it's a wagon we will all relate to sooner or later Tom. I too have had that experience, although mine ended with a trip to the ER after though. I know how lucky I was to even wake up because it happened in the bathroom and I was super hot and a few other lovely H2S symptoms were present too. sooooo any who, I'm still here and that was 2 summers ago. The only reminder of the whole thing is a nice little scar on my nose from my face plant on the floor. To this day my husband still thinks I was drinking (I wasn't) and since I walked out of the ER (Once I came to my senses) I haven't heard the last of how I needed stitches. The visual hallucinations are coming from the elderly clients I see along with a few my nurse friends relaying what they are seeing. Doctors in my area do not diagnosis anything, they only treat the symptoms, so I'm sure that isn't helping the hallucinations any either. But the big ass lake I live and work around probably isn't helping either. So I'll quote McPherson here......we're damned if we do and we're damned if we don't........(so I take door # 3 and will try like hell not to think about it all and LIVE!
