Event Update For 2018-02-14

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

Quote: "At least 20 power pole fires sparked thousands of power outages across the St. Louis area Wednesday, and the cause is a rare weather phenomenon, Ameren Missouri said. 'I’ve not heard of it before, and I'm hearing other people haven't heard of it before either,' Jo Logan said, while she watched a pole burn in Crestwood while waiting for a dentist appointment."

Quote: "Ameren said cars are grinding up all of the salt on our roads, sending salty sediment into the air. That sediment is settling on devices called insulators on high-voltage power poles."

Note: *cough*bullshit*cough* Riiiiight, and that explains why even though we use salt every single year, this has never happened before. Moreoever, they can't possibly have used very much salt this year anyway - waaaay less than any normal year - because I doubt we've seen a TOTAL of six inches of snow here all winter. Also, St. Louis isn't exactly the only city to use salt when it snows...

  1. Under the story about the yacht Galbi, an RV burns in Washington state but you didn't count it.

Are you going to phone in or write to the "authorities" about the power poles NOT burning due to salt, but most likely due to CH4 and H2S in the atmosphere? It's happened in other places, and even palm trees have burst into flame - and they don't blame the use of salt. [of course people will say they never heard of THAT before either]

So many fish dying - that's a LOT of meals (and future fish that won't be born).

[at least they didn't crash into anything else]
The ship was undergoing repairs in the port when the fire started. An investigation has been launched into the cause of the fire.

The incident happened during welding works, and it is believed that either the ship's hull or the repair tools accidentally caught fire [more; wait, what? They're METAL! No questions?]

The solar wind is flowing from a large wedge-shaped hole in the sun's atmosphere. If the approaching CME sweeps up material from that stream, snowplow-style, it could strike Earth's magnetic field with extra mass and potency.

Last part there was the burned RV. Still, I have screwed up before, so please remain vigilant! Heh.

Not gonna bother trying to inform 'the authorities', no. I have tried that, didn't work. I guess I don't have a gigantic problem if they want to continue looking dumber and dumber until reality explodes in their metaphorical faces.

Layer of "slime" could leave areas more vulnerable to submarine landslides
    https://www.sott.net/article/377610-Layer-of-slime-could-leave-areas-more-vulnerable-to-submarine-landslides

The report, published in research journal Geology, explained how landslides in the ocean are of a different scale than those on land.

It said: 'When the seabed loses its stability and starts to move, it often happens in much larger dimensions than landslides ashore - and at slopes with very low gradients.'

Study author Dr Morelia Urlaub explained: 'Submarine landslides happen on very shallow slopes, often with gradients as low as one or one-and-a-half degrees.'

But much damage can be done even when a landslide occurs on a fairly flat surface, the report explained.

'Displacement of large amounts of sediment under water can cause devastating tsunamis.' [more]
