The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.
A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

Corporate America's new dilemma: raising prices to cover higher transport costs
The drive for cost cuts and higher margins at U.S. trucking and railroad operators is pinching their biggest customers, forcing the likes of General Mills Inc (GIS.N) and Hormel Foods Corp (HRL.N) to spend more on deliveries and consider raising their own prices as a way to pass along the costs.

Holy sheet! Shaolin monk pierces pane of glass with needle (VIDEO)

Master Bruce explains that throwing a needle through glass is one of 72 arts of Shaolin. One of the hardest arts to master, it takes at least a decade of intensive training to get it right. Shaolin master Feng-Fei then steps up to the plate of glass. Concentrating all of his energy to his hand, or harnessing the power of 'chi', the monk suddenly flings the needle so hard and fast that it pierces the glass, sending shards flying through a balloon behind and popping it as proof of the feat. Strange pole-shifting physics conjures a truly alien world

Some exoplanets are tidally locked – like how only one side of the Moon ever faces the Earth – and we already know that planets like Mars and Earth experience a “polar wander,” causing heavier features to move toward equators. One French researcher thinks these combined behaviors could influence things like the atmosphere, chemistry, and climate of some distant planets. You probably think this is a totally made-up sci-fi setting, but a new paper suggests such a story could be quite possible. [more]
2008 Deja Vu: Buried By Trusted Psychopaths
http://ponziworld.blogspot.com/2018/02/2008-deja-vu-buried-by-trusted.html
Unfortunately, the Idiocracy doesn't trust anyone who can be trusted...
We live in a society run by and for industry-captured whores who lie incessantly. Our politicians are merely an extension of industry. A corrupt society doesn't know corruption when it sees it. It's the Idiocracy incarnate [see chart]
Needless to say, conflating a supply problem with a demand problem is a disaster wanting to happen, deja vu of 2008. Because the last thing any weakening market needs is more supply when demand is imploding. But try telling that to the National Real Estate Association or the Builder's Association. They seem to enjoy serial bankruptcy for their clients and members. [more]

Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel embodies everything wrong with American authority

Now, along comes Scott Israel to remind us, despite the legend, how a sheriff can be a hack politician whose primary concern is protecting his own political reputation and little fief.
The Broward County sheriff, whose disgraceful performance in the Stoneman Douglas shooting has been a master class in evasion of responsibility, is the latest entry in why we don't trust our public institutions. [more]

Guardian Life Insurance, the sub-landlord for the company's downtown Manhattan office, informed International Business Times Inc. in late November that it owed several hundred thousand dollars representing "unpaid, delinquent rent and additional rent."
According an affidavit filed in New York County court in mid February, Guardian claims IBT currently owes the landlord $303,466 in rent.
The company had stopped paying other bills months ago, racking up what Guardian claimed in early December as an additional $309,229 invoice for various utilities and fees. [more]

Humans could inhale them: New evidence of radioactive nanoparticules at Fukushima

Hundreds of birds suddenly fall from the sky in Mexico
http://strangesounds.org/2018/02/hundreds-of-birds-suddenly-fall-from-the-sky-mexico.html
Hundreds of birds, normally flying in large swarms in the city center, suddenly fell from the sky just in front of the State Government building of Parral, Mexico, baffling onlookers and officials, who have no ideas what just happened in front of them on February 25, 2018.
The official version is a mysterious disease. Well can you explain how this ‘virus’ would kill all of a sudden hundreds of birds at once in less than 30 seconds? [more]
Hah, right, the 'virus' explanation is just not believable. If you were in a high-rise looking down on a courtyard of people, and you saw 200 people suddenly collapse and die, would your first thought be 'virus'? No way! It takes time for viruses to move from creature to creature and people then succumb at different rates depending on their health, immune systems, age, etc. The same is true for birds or anything else. When a bunch of creatures die suddenly at the same time, it has to be environmental. If you don't SEE anything in the environment afflicting them then it has to be something invisible, and birds are particularly vulnerable to gases with their low body weight and high rate of respiration.
