Event Update For 2016-04-01

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

  1. Good morning Jonny. And it IS too, because in Chester Co. there are currently about 45,000 homes without power due to the ridiculously high winds (recorded gusts of 70 mph) last night and into this morning, accompanied by a big drop in temps, BUT I'M NOT ONE OF THEM! (yet)

As with yesterday's report, PA is still helping out with JJFH incidents all over the state.

Looking back to April 2015, it looks like we're well behind the rate of home/residence explosions so far this year. Summer may see some catch-up if the projected heat occurs. We're way ahead this year in boat explosions though.

Strong winds blow roofs off buildings in Harbin, China

Shocking video footage has emerged of an entire roof getting blown off an apartment block in the Chinese city of Harbin during a storm.

Gale-force winds hit the city on Friday, resulting in a number of residential buildings, billboards, and power lines being damaged.

As the roof falls to the ground, flashes of light can be seen as it crashes through power cables, causing a number of cars to catch fire while others were flattened.

Video recorded by locals in the area also shows a prefabricated building being blown over and its interior falling apart.

Three people died in storm related accidents, CCTV reported.

The Great Barrier Reef is dying

Paul Beckwith: My Condolences to Australia's Great Barrier Reef

[SOTT doesn't do heat related stories much; this is big]

The Great Barrier Reef along the NE coastline of Australia is (soon to be was) the largest living ecosystem on Earth. It is dying, and it's loss will be devastating for planet Earth, not to mention Australia. Not only was the 2300 km long reef teeming with life (biological hotspot), it protects coastlines from storms and is a World Heritage tourist magnet.

    Heatwave for Western Australia

Parts of Western Australia are in for a mid-autumn blast of heat over the coming days.

Despite autumn being a month old significant heat is still lingering over the nation's north west. Temperatures have soared over 40 degrees in the north, such as Marble Bar and Telfer.

  2. Snow in Guadeloupe! Heh, maybe that's where the cold air that went missing from the North Pole went. The entire climate system is seriously destabilizing now. Unstable is obviously bad for crops. I don't like looking down that road too far.

Mathematician Solves The Centuries-Old Sphere Problem In Higher Dimensions

In a pair of papers posted online this month, a Ukrainian mathematician has solved two high-dimensional versions of the centuries-old “sphere packing” problem. In dimensions eight and 24 (the latter dimension in collaboration with other researchers), she has proved that two highly symmetrical arrangements pack spheres together in the densest possible way.

In dimensions eight and 24, there exist dazzlingly symmetric sphere packings called E8 and the Leech lattice, respectively, that pack spheres better than the best candidates known to mathematicians in other dimensions.
