Event Update For 2016-03-17

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

2016-03-17 - 'Rotten egg' odor blowing ashore from the ocean in Southern California:

Note: The water turned pink last fall at a bird refuge in coastal Santa Barbara, caused by bacteria that eat hydrogen sulfide and which only exist in water where hydrogen sulfide is present, mentioned in the 2015-09-22 update. And the oceans are warming and filling up with dead creatures, and the ancient archaea and bacteria that produce hydrogen sulfide love heat and dead stuff, so the Pacific Ocean is rapidly becoming more 'landfill-like', so the ocean spewing poisonous hydrogen sulfide gas is not unexpected. This is going to get worse, much much worse...

  1. Bigfoot Vs Zombies!

Whew, we're really hitting bottom in the original ideas area. Next up, Rock Vs Scissors!

  2. Here's some footage of the plane crash in Russia - definitely looks like it was on fire before it crashed and exploded:

  3. Thanks Jonny. I promised a buddy I'd help him replace a rotted 4" x 4" post that held up a 4' x 8' wooden privacy lattice (that was also showing signs of decay, so we replaced that too) yesterday that turned into the job from hell. Whoeverthefuck put the post in the ground anchored it with a 3 1/2 ft deep, 18" in diameter ball of concrete that could of held up a house. This thing was MASSIVE. We dug around it with pry bars and shovels, slowing uncovering enough of the footer to realize we should be looking for dynamite. Now we're both in our 60's, and neither of us does this kind of intensive manual labor for a living, or even regularly. We started breaking it up into big, 25 lb chunks by bashing it with a 16 lb sledge hammer and, after we were below 2' we hit a pinch bar wedged between the wood and the concrete and climbed down in the hole to retrieve the chunks. Time consuming, back breaking job that went on for 5 hours. We unearthed the final piece, refilled the mine-shaft with the debris and planted the new post in this fill mix and tamped down dirt, put up the lattice and got the approval of his wife for doing a good job. I was BEAT by the time I got home, when a few hours later my brother (who I haven't seen in about 9 months) and his wife showed up for dinner. So as usual I had to help clean, set the table, put shit away, do dishes, and then take a shower and clean up (since I looked like a farmer and smelled like a goat). The night went well though - pasta and vino always does the trick, - as we watched some of the March Madness for a while and then switched over to the NCAA Wrestling Championships from Madison Sq. Garden. After they left around 11, I passed out in bed ~ 11:15.

A little stiff and muscle sore this morning as I catch up on JJFH from yesterday.

i'll be back in a bit to comment and post some news stories.

This report showed that it was not a good day to be driving an RV, eh? Geez!

  4. I've got a few of my fence posts anchored in concrete too (after a windstorm blew it down and I didn't want to see a repeat)...but not 3.5 feet deep! Maybe 1 foot, and we hired burly young guys to do the work too, cuz hard work pays off eventually...but laziness pays off immediately!
