Event Update For 2015-07-16

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

  1. Oh man. Aside from all the spectacular reports above, it just keeps getting worse, Jonny!

First thing I saw this morning is this:

Motorists flee as wildfire races across California freeway

    more here

"Mass casualty incident" declared as 3,500-acre California brush fire sets cars ablaze, engulfing freeway and homes

[geeez, can you imagine being stuck in traffic as a wildfire nears?]

Hawaii Just Got Hit By A July Snow Storm (Seriously)

July snowstorms are weird enough. July snowstorms in Hawaii boggle the mind.

But that's what happened at the summit of Mauna Kea on Hawaii's Big Island on Friday morning.

The combination of passing thunderstorms and near-freezing temperatures led to 1.5 inches of snow and icy conditions, according to a ranger's report.

Tsunami warning in Pacific as 7.5 quake strikes near Solomon Islands

Three people rescued after Alaska plane crash

Powerful tornado rips through Illinois small town, levels grain silos

Boeing warns airlines against flying battery shipments

    [gee, I wonder why?]

  2. And Greece is on fire in two areas now too, not to mention Canada and Washington and Oregon and Alaska. Fecal matter appears to be hitting the oscillating device!

  3. Yes indeed! Just wait til the methane really gets goin' - whew! i can't even imagine the conflagrations to come. The AIR will be on fire.

    The Age of Super Fires

At least 6 waterspouts seen on Chesapeake Bay

Man survives grizzly bear attack near Bella Bella, Canada

[the guy works for a LOGGING company - i hope the bears chase 'em all out.]

At least two killed; 230,000 residents told to evacuate amid warnings of floods, landslides as Typhon Nangka strikes Japan

[seems every season the storms get worse by an order of magnitude . . ]

Another system developed in the Southern Hemisphere, putting the two-week tally for the Pacific basin at nine, said Dr Phil Klotzbach, a hurricane researcher at Colorado State University. Scientists say a strengthening El Nino weather phenomenon in the Pacific is partly to blame.

Mother pygmy whale dead, calf euthanized after stranding on Horry County beach, South Carolina

[humans are really good at killing]

another sad day on what used to be a living planet

  4. Well, prepare to bake! Heh, I think hot temps are heading your way now. Temps just sizzled here, whew, heat index well above 100F for the last several days, and I think that heat blob is heading to the East Coast now.

There was lots of weird soundless lightning and flashes in the skies here tonight - 'flash fires' ignited by lighting burning off gas ahead of an incoming storm? I dunno, but it reminded me of that scene in the beginning of the remake of War of the Worlds, the one with Tom Cruise. I was half expecting to hear a groaning noise and then have the ground explode and spew out a laser-shooting tripod.
