2015 - JUN - Spotlight Stories

Category: Fires And Explosions

2015-06-01 - At least four school buses destroyed by fire at 4 AM while parked in bus yard in Burlington (Canada):

2015-06-01 - School bus bursts into flame on Plympton Street in Middleborough (Massachusetts):

Note: These are the 121st, 122nd, 123rd, 124th and 125th school buses to burn in 2015 and the 336th, 337th, 338th, 339th and 340th buses to burn in 2015. 42 school buses burned in May, 24 in April, 20 in March, 19 in February and 16 in January. Hmmm, so apparently I'm off by one somewhere. Well, it's not really worth the time to look for it, especially since it looks like I'm UNDER counting. Hey, it's still 99%+ accurate! In any case, 16 -> 19 -> 20 -> 24 -> 42. That looks like escalation...

2015-06-01 - Underground electrical explosion and fire erupts near post office in downtown New Brunswick (New Jersey):

Quote: "Firefighters and city officials are on the scene of a fire at a post office in New Brunswick Monday. The flames were reportedly sparked by an underground transformer that exploded just before 11 a.m. at the building on Bayard Street and Kirkpatrick Street."

2015-06-01 - Underground electrical explosion and fire blows manhole off in Detroit (Michigan):

Note: Another underground fire just hit Detroit too, mentioned in the 2015-05-30 update...

2015-06-01 - Underground electrical fire breaks out near pub in Knighton (Britain):

Quote: "Fire crews in Mid Wales were called to deal with an electrical fire in a manhole outside a pub. A spokeswoman from Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service confirmed crews were alerted to the incident in Knighton at around 8.25am."

2015-06-01 - Bed bursts into flame at 3:12 AM as teen sleeps on it, at home in Hinchingbrooke Park (Britain):

Quote: "Lisa, who has lived in the house for nearly two years, said the fire had started underneath the bed but the cause remained a mystery."

Note: Sounds similar to an incident where a woman's hair burst into flame while she slept at home in Houston (Texas), mentioned in the 2013-11-30 update. Hair, bedding, both adsorbent flammable materials. The woman's hair probably ignited from static electricity after adsorbing odorless methane during the day. The bed could have ignited for the same reason, or maybe there was some rust (bed springs) or electrified copper nearby. You just can't count on your hair or bed not bursting into flame while you sleep anymore...!

2015-06-01 - 4000 homes damaged or destroyed by fire in coastal Pagadian City (Philippine Islands):

Quote: "Some 4,000 houses made of semi-concrete and light materials were damaged due to the fire, it added."

Note: These are just an assortment of some of the more notable fires on this day...

2015-06-02 - Transit bus hits several vehicles, plows into pedestrians, on Lake Street in Chicago (Illinois), 1 killed, 8 injured:

Quote: "She ran outside to see the bus driver with his eyes closed, apparently unconscious."

Note: Might have lost consciousness before the crash, and that's why there was a crash in the first place. This area is near Lake Michigan...

2015-06-02 - Passenger bus overturns into ditch along canal road in Odisha (India), at least 40 injured:

2015-06-02 - Tour bus veers off road, crashes into river valley, near Karaj (Iran), 25 killed:

2015-06-02 - Tanker truck crashes off bridge at 1:30 AM, explodes into flame, 44 shops and 21 vehicles destroyed, in coastal Lagos (Nigeria):

Quote: "An explosion rocked the area around 1:30am causing pandemonium as residents rushed out of their homes only to discover that a tanker had fallen off the Iyana Ipaja bridge. Balls of fire enveloped the area as the tanker, with registration number Lagos KJA 238 XN conveying 33,000 litres of premium motor spirit, PMS, fell from the bridge and spilled its contents. Residents of the area ran for safety as fire engulfed houses and cars."

2015-06-02 - Five tractor trailers, an RV and 15 cars crash along I-81 in Maryland:

Note: I just mentioned in the 2015-05-31 update that we should be expecting more incredible big-vehicle crashes. It's gonna get crazy! Well, crazier anyway. If you want more variety in vehicular mayhem, also see the passenger plane hit by a 'burning smell', the large number of planes that crashed on this day, many of them fatal crashes, and the person found burned to death in a burning car in the wee hours in Belgrade (Montana). This extinction event involves atmospheric contamination, so any vehicle that moves through the atmosphere will have problems, including cars, boats and aircraft...

2015-06-03 - Gas station explodes and burns in coastal Accra (Ghana), 175+ killed:

Quote: "President Mahama visited the burnt-out petrol station and described the deaths as 'catastrophic' and 'almost unprecedented'."

Note: This is 20th ferry to burn in 2015...

2015-06-03 - Car-carrier ship 'Courage' hit by fire, 100 cars burn, near the Isle of Wight (Britain):

Quote: "The 'Courage' was diverted to Hampshire after it caught fire in the night of June 2, 2015, 40 miles off Harwich in Essex. The crew reported the fire to the UK Coastguard at Dover Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre just before 10 p.m."

Quote: "The blaze is feared to have damaged at least 100 cars it was transporting from Bremerhaven in Germany."

2015-06-03 - Car-hauler bursts into flame on the Indiana Toll Road in Bristol (Indiana):

Quote: "Indiana State Police say they received a call of a car hauler trailer fully engulfed in flames around 3:30pm. Both eastbound lanes were shut down at mile marker 99 in Bristol as crews responded to the scene."

Note: This is the 34th car-hauler to burn in 2015. So a truck fire on a ferry, a car-hauler SHIP hit by fire with 100 cars burning and yet another car-hauler truck going up in flames. More vehicles are igniting generally, parked or driven. Since most vehicles spend most of their time parked, more parked vehicles are spontaneously igniting, and sometimes those parked vehicles are on transport vehicles of one kind or another...

2015-06-03 - Man in his 60s killed when car explodes into flame on Castle Hill Road in Prestwich (Britain):

Quote: "Although police and firefighters arrived within minutes, they were unable to save the occupant. It is believed the Volvo estate was stationary at the time and is not thought to have been involved in any collision."

2015-06-03 - Person found dead in burning car at 2:20 AM in Fort Worth (Texas):

Note: And sometimes when the vehicles being driven ignite, it kills the occupant(s). And the parked vehicles igniting have been burning down homes here and there too, sometimes killing people indirectly that way. Some of the people killed in the car fires have been trapped inside when the power locks and windows stop working, so if you drive then you might want to keep something handy with which to cut seatbelts and break windows, in case that happens to you. You may only have seconds to act, assuming your vehicle doesn't just explode and kill you instantly, which is apparently what happened to that man in Prestwich...

2015-06-04 - Van bursts into flame just after midnight while parked at home on Capetown Road in coastal Ocean Pines (Maryland):

2015-06-04 - Car bursts into flame while parked in carpark at shopping center on Vicar Lane in Chesterfield (Britain):

Note: And here's another pile of parked vehicles spontaneously igniting, many of them in coastal areas or near rivers and such. A lot of these fires are probably going under the radar too - a house goes up in flames and inside the garage is a car, but nobody mentions that part in the news story, if there even is a news story. It really doesn't seem wise these days to park any kind of vehicle near anything you don't want to see on fire...

2015-06-05 - Fire in the cockpit sends passenger plane to emergency landing at airport in Windsor Locks (Connecticut):

Quote: "An airplane was able to land safely at Bradley International Airport on Friday afternoon, even though there was a fire in the cockpit. Authorities said the United Express was headed from Newark airport to Bradley airport when a fire was reported in the cockpit around 12:15 p.m."

Quote: "However, it is still unknown exactly how the boy suffered the burns."

Quote: "Bromage said the investigation by the Sheriff's Office into the incident is considered closed."

Note: 'We don't know how he got burned, but it wasn't a crime. Case closed!' Obviously they wanted this story to go away immediately. People might be alarmed to know that their kids can mysteriously go up in flames at any time now. Can't have people discussing that! A guy's pants just ignited on a bus too, in Marshfield (Wisconsin), mentioned in the 2015-06-07 update. A girl's bed burst into flame at 3:12 AM while she slept, at home in Hinchingbrooke Park (Britain), mentioned in the 2015-06-01 update. Bedding and clothes are both adsorbing methane and/or hydrogen sulfide and igniting, sometimes via static electricity, so there will be more people igniting because of this problem as time goes on...

He had burns on his leg, and Segraves estimated his body was approximately 9 percent burned. He was transported in critical condition to Via Christi Hospital St. Francis."

Note: Possibly the work of the Ghostly Match. I mentioned siphoning specifically. You'll never see it coming...

2015-06-10 - Man, 73, found dead in burned-out truck in Minot (North Dakota):

Quote: "The Ward County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday said the pickup and the body of 73-year-old Dennis Leith, of Norwich, were discovered about 10 a.m. Tuesday. Police in the city said it was unclear what had caused the explosion, which took place at around 3.30am in the suburb of Södra Sofielund, close to the city centre and one of the biggest medical hubs in the region, Skåne University Hospital."

Quote: "In February, a car blast in the city centre shattered several windows at Malmö's Museum of Modern Art. And back in December, a series of explosions damaged buildings in the east of the city."

Note: Might've been one of those cars exploding. Speaking of exploding cars...

2015-06-12 - Car explodes as people drive down street in coastal Gothenburg (Sweden), 4 killed:

Quote: "Rescue spokesman Bosse Andersson said the car exploded in a roundabout near a fire station. He said that when rescuers from the fire station arrived at the scene they found the car 'severely demolished.' The cause of the blast was not immediately clear. Located on the country’s southwestern coast, Goteborg is Sweden’s second largest city."

Quote: "Few details were initially released, but police confirmed on Saturday that three people had been pronounced dead at the scene. The girl was taken to hospital where she later died."

Note: Other vehicles have exploded and burned and injured or killed people, but so far it's mostly been one person at a time dying like this. But it's random, so sometimes there will be more than one person in a vehicle when it explodes. Gettin' kinda 'splodey there on the coast in Sweden...

2015-06-12 - Business destroyed by huge fire, two homes burn too, in coastal Corolla (North Carolina):

Quote: "A chimney is all that’s left of what used to be the 12,000 square foot building."

2015-06-13 - Huge number of fish found dead in Evergreen Lake in Xiamen (China):

2015-06-13 - Around 40 tons of fish found dead in ponds in China:

Note: It's not just people sickening and dying all over the place but animals too, and especially oceanic species. In the Permian-Triassic extinction event - the same as the one currently underway - around 95% of ocean species went extinct, and around 70% of land-based species went extinct. Any species which reproduces slowly or which takes longer than a year or two to reach reproductive maturity is likely to die off entirely. Obviously that includes human beings...

2015-06-14 - In separate incidents, sharks attack and injure two teens, each one loses an arm, at Oak Island (North Carolina):

Quote: "Two teenagers were seriously injured in two separate shark attacks in the same North Carolina town on Sunday, terrifying beach goers and prompting one shocked witness to compare the scene to the movie 'Jaws.'"

Quote: "Brunswick County Dispatchers said that they received the first call at 4:12 p.m., and agencies including Oak Island Police and the Air Link Helicopter went to the scene. The second shark attack was reported at 5:30 p.m."

Quote: "A 12-year-old girl and 16-year-old boy each lost an arm Sunday in separate shark attacks at the same North Carolina beach."

Quote: "'He looked like he was waving at his friends,' Randy Milligan said of the unidentified 16-year-old boy who was attacked. 'Then the shark just came out of the water and like you snap your fingers -- bit his whole arm off.' Milligan told ABC News that the shark was large and was able to fit the majority of the boy's left arm in one bite."

Note: That's some serious Jaws action there! I wonder if their normal prey is dying off. There have been many fish kills reported in North Carolina. There was also a mysterious huge explosion off the coast of North Carolina in March, followed by a massive number of dead fish washing ashore, mentioned in the 2015-03-18 update. That was likely a methane and/or hydrogen sulfide bubble breaching the surface and exploding, and either the explosion or suffocation killed those fish, or both. Last August scientists reported discovering at least 570 new seeps venting methane along the East Coast from North Carolina to Massachusetts, mentioned in the 2014-08-24 update. So if sharks lose their normal prey, they might just start snacking on whatever is handy and easy to kill, like people. From the full hypothesis: "Predators will attempt to adapt to the changes in the biosphere and may turn to our pets or to us as an alternate source of nutrition."

2015-06-15 - 20 vehicles and street department building destroyed by fire in Colville (Washington), nobody there:

With the assistance of the Arden and Kettle Falls Fire Departments, crews were able to put out the flames, but the buildings and vehicles are considered to be a total loss."

He is Colin Patrick McKnight, 36, of Bonner, according to Sheriff Scott Howard. The cause of death and fire are unknown at this time, but no foul play is suspected, authorities said. The fire occurred in the early morning hours of June 11 at the Harry Morgan Campground, a Forest Service fishing access on the Blackfoot River along the Ovando-Helmville road."

Note: Any vehicle that is made of steel or which uses electrified copper is a fire risk now. It doesn't matter whether they're running or not - plenty of parked vehicles are spontaneously igniting now, often in the wee hours. Eventually any vehicle that's made with steel (e.g. any vehicle which rusts) or which uses electrified copper will burn. It's just a matter of time...

Note: Volcanic activity around the world continues to escalate, exactly as predicted by MISA Theory in 2010. MISA Theory leads to the Jumping Jack Flash Hypothesis, which leads to the end of most life on Earth, just as has happened in Earth's past. This is one of Earth's 'golden oldies' in terms of extinction events...

2015-06-17 - Gas erupts from pond at golf course in Lambton Shores (Canada), on Lake Huron:

Quote: "The Ministry of Natural Resources has sent a spill action team to a natural gas leak on Lakeshore Road, just east of Indian Hills Trail in West Lambton Shores, Lambton OPP reported Wednesday morning. The team joins police, fire and Union Gas crews. They were called out at approximately 7:52 a.m. Wednesday by a report of an odour and arrived to find natural gas bubbling up out of a small pond, police said. It was determined to be a gas pocket, police said. Lambton OPP are asking the public to avoid the area, and said Indian Hills Trail West was restricted to local traffic. Police said it was unknown how long the gas leak, described as a natural event, would continue."

Note: Natural gas is odorless, so this wasn't JUST natural gas leaking. That people described it as 'an odor of gas' means that they smelled 'rotten egg' odor. The bacteria that produce hydrogen sulfide eat natural gas (e.g. methane), so this had to be hydrogen sulfide AND natural gas exploding out of that pond. This is the same thing they said in California when gas erupted out of Santa Monica Bay and hit Santa Monica with a foul odor, mentioned in the 2013-03-03 update - they said that was a 'naturally-occurring methane release'. I'm sure there WAS some methane that exploded out of the ocean in the bay there, but there was ALSO hydrogen sulfide, which is what the 'foul odor' was.

The 'naturally-occurring' part doesn't mean there's nothing to worry about. The Permian-Triassic extinction - the 'Great Dying' - was a 'naturally-occurring' event too, but it still killed most life on this planet, and the current extinction event will do the same. Maybe your corpse will end up with a toe tag on it that says 'died from naturally-occurring event', but dead is still dead...

2015-06-17 - Around 50 people, mostly children, sickened by gas at elementary school in coastal Basud (Philippine Islands):

Quote: "At least 50 people, most of them children, got sick in a suspected gas poisoning inside a public elementary school in the town of Basud in Camarines Norte on Wednesday..."

Quote: "Fama said that when the responding policemen led by Inspector Ace Juan Flores arrived at the school, they found about 50 pupils and teachers from different levels who were experiencing stomach ache, vomiting and nausea. He said the foul smell was already gone when policemen got to the school but the victims described the odor as similar to that of a fertilizer or some kind of medicine or chemical that they could not identify."

Note: Here's a Google Maps link of the area. Four children were just gassed to death in a hotel in Mash'had (Iran) too, and 18 more children were injured, mentioned in the 2015-06-08 update...

2015-06-18 - At least 9 endangered fin whales found dead in the water near Alaska:

Quote: "'We rarely see more than one fin whale carcass every couple of years,' said Kate Wynne, a UAF professor and Alaska Sea Grant marine mammal specialist, and the recent rash of dead whale discoveries is 'mysterious.'"

Quote: "They travel and feed in tight groups, behavior that supports the idea that the whales encountered something toxic at the same time in May, the UAF release said."

Quote: "The single whale that they were able to examine had no obvious injuries and had a thick layer of blubber, a sign of good body condition, Witteveen said. 'It was a really healthy animal; there weren’t any obvious signs of cause of death,' she said."

Note: Just like all the healthy people being found mysteriously dead. The story also mentions some dead walruses and seabirds...

2015-06-19 - Ferry ship 'Stena Transit' bursts into flame near coastal Grimsby (Britain):

Quote: "On June 19, 2015, at 9.26 p.m. the lifeboat 'Pride of the Humber' from Humber RNLI were tasked by the HM Coastguard to go and stand by the 'Stena Transit' which was suffering an engine room fire. The vessel had 180 persons on board so the lifeboat made best speed to its location anchored in the shipping channel just off Grimsby. Once on scene the lifeboat made preparations in case an evacuation was necessary."

Note: This is the 22nd ferry ship to burn/explode in 2015, so we're not quite up to 1 ferry burning per week yet. At least nobody died in the fire this time...

2015-06-19 - Boat bursts into flame on body of water near Bullhead City (Arizona):

2015-06-20 - At least 30 boats and boathouse destroyed by huge fire at the Tacoma Narrows Marina (Washington):

Quote: "A fire at a Narrows Marina boathouse Saturday destroyed a small boathouse at Aaron’s Marine Service and at least 30 boats inside, Tacoma Fire Department safety officer Allen Estes said."

Quote: "Estes said investigators may not be able to determine the cause of the fire, which caused about $4 million damage."

Quote: "The Narrows Marina is at the end of South 19th Street in Tacoma, several miles from where the U.S. Open is ongoing at Chambers Bay in University Place. Smoke and flames were visible during the national broadcast of the tournament."

2015-06-20 - Yacht bursts into flame at 1 AM in the Boca Inlet near coastal Boca Raton (Florida):

Quote: "A marine towing boat from Tow Boat U.S. Fort Lauderdale came to the rescue, removing the people from the smoldering boat and bringing it to shore, according to Ryan Little, a towing boat captain. The fire intensified as the boat approached the Boca Inlet. The towing company beached the boat in Lake Boca Raton so Boca Raton Fire-Rescue could extinguish the flames."

2015-06-20 - Boat bursts into flame at 2:45 AM while parked inside business in Murfreesboro (Tennessee), nobody there:

Quote: "Murfreesboro Fire and Rescue said the fire happened at Parker's Window Tinting on Hanson Street around 2:45 a.m. Saturday. A police officer noticed the fire while out on patrol. It appeared the fire started in a boat inside a garage at the business. The owner had been living right above the shop, but wasn't home at the time, according to officials."

2015-06-20 - Boat bursts into flame at home in Hager City (Wisconsin), 1 injured:

Note: These are the 518th through 550th boats or ships to burn/explode in 2015. Not looking good for boats! Not unexpected though. Boats often have electrified copper, they sometimes have rusty iron/steel AND they're usually located in low-lying areas where a heavier-than-air gas like hydrogen sulfide will tend to accumulate. Lots of dead people are being found in the water near their boats too, sometimes with their empty 'ghost boat' still running in circles. Also see the man who went missing at Lake Winnipesaukee (New Hampshire) on this day with his empty 'ghost boat' found circling, just one of many many similar events. Even if your boat doesn't burst into flame and/or explode then you might just slump over unconscious or dead and fall off of it, and if you fall into water while unconscious then you're highly likely to breathe water until dead...

2015-06-21 - Passenger plane hit by smoke, makes emergency landing in Canandaigua (New York):

Quote: "Some passengers on a plane that was forced to make an emergency landing at Canandaigua Airport Sunday afternoon believed they were about to die. A commercial plane with 37 passengers and three crew members aboard was forced to make an emergency landing Sunday afternoon when smoke filled the cockpit and passenger cabin."

2015-06-21 - Passenger plane hit by smoke in the cargo hold, makes emergency landing at Ben Gurion Airport (Israel):

Quote: "Ynet news reported that the plane was diverted after smoke was identified coming from the cargo hold."

Note: These are the 70th and 71st aircraft to smoke or burn in 2015. The airline business is, as Jim Carrey would say, SMOKIN'!

2015-06-21 - Fire station hit by fire just before midnight, two trucks and 3 inflateable boats destroyed, in Robinson Township (Pennsylvania):

Quote: "The fire chief told and the fire started in a UTV."

Quote: "Kisow said the cause has been ruled accidental after officials saw security footage that caught its ignition, but the origin of the spark remains unknown."

Note: So this fire began when a UTV spontaneously ignited. That's the problem with parking vehicles inside buildings nowadays - when a vehicle bursts into flame then you often lose the building too. One brave firefighter drove their fire engine out of the burning building and saved that, this time...

2015-06-22 - Oil rig damaged by fire and possible explosion in the Gulf of Mexico:

Note: They sure use a lot of 'quotations' in this 'story'!

2015-06-22 - Yacht 'Anditi' bursts into flame while docked in coastal Coconut Grove (Florida), nobody aboard:

Quote: "The owner of the yacht, which is called Anditi, said the boat was used Sunday and appeared to be working fine."

Quote: "Witnesses told Local 10 news they heard a loud bang that sounded like an explosion coming from the boat, which then burst into flames."

Note: Big ol' 82-foot luxury yachts exploding and burning with nobody aboard is totally normal! Here's a Google Maps link of the area...

2015-06-22 - Boat bursts into flame while parked at home in Farndon, Chester (Britain):

Quote: "A boat was involved in a fire in the garden of a Farndon property. Firefighters, two wearing breathing apparatus, used two hose reel jets to put out the blaze. The house that the boat was parked near to was checked thoroughly to ensure there was no fire spread."

Note: Counting the oil rig as a ship, which it is, albeit of a very specialized kind, these are the 558th, 559th and 560th boats or ships to burn/explode in 2015...

2015-06-23 - Car bursts into flame while parked at home in Brewer (Maine):

2015-06-23 - Car bursts into flame at 5 AM while parked at home, fire spreads to home, in Madisonville (Kentucky):

2015-06-23 - Car bursts into flame while parked in parking lot at business in Great Falls (Montana):

Note: More parked cars exploding and/or burning. People aren't taking the problem seriously. Ergo, people are becoming homeless and sometimes dead. As time goes on, there will be much more of this. At this point it's best not to park a vehicle near anything you wouldn't want to see on fire, especially your residence, since these fires can cut off escape routes and kill you, as has happened to numerous people already...

2015-06-26 - Shark attacks and injures man on the Outer Banks in Avon (North Carolina):

Quote: "This is the fifth shark attack along the North Carolina Sharkolina coastline in the past month."

Note: A huge mysterious explosion hit the Outer Banks in North Carolina in March and shortly afterwards a huge number of fish washed ashore dead. That was probably a methane and/or hydrogen sulfide bubble from the sea floor that breached the surface and then exploded and killed those fish, or they died from suffocation as the gas rose to the surface, or some of both. That event was mentioned in the 2015-03-18 update. Could be that a lot of fish in that area have been wiped out, so now the sharks are forced to look for something other than fish to eat, like people...

2015-06-26 - Shark attacks and injures man at Hunting Island (South Carolina):

Quote: "In South Carolina, a man was bitten by a shark while swimming in the surf off Hunting Island about 11 a.m. Friday, according to the Lady’s Island-St. Helena Fire District. The man noticed a 4-foot shark swimming around him and yelled but was then bitten by a second shark he had not seen, said district spokesman Scott Harris. When first responders arrived, the man was on the beach with serious bleeding. He was transported by ambulance to Beaufort Memorial Hospital."

2015-06-27 - Waterpark hit by explosion and fire in coastal New Taipei City (Taiwan), 1 killed, 500+ people burned:

Quote: "A fire on a music stage spread into a crowd of spectators at a party Saturday night at a Taiwan water park, injuring nearly 500 people, including 141 in serious condition, authorities said."

Note: Blamed on some kind of powder or dust. Dunno, could be, but that may not have been the ONLY factor at play here. Powder and dust is a problem because it has a lot of surface area, and both methane and hydrogen sulfide will cling to the surface of dust, any kind of dust. That means that even inflammable dust, like granite dust or iron dust, can BECOME flammable if it's contaminated. Was the dust here contaminated? There's no way to know - nobody checked. If it was stored outside, open to the air, then however flammable it may have been normally, it could easily have become extraordinarily flammable, way worse than anyone would expect.

This area is also a coastal community and this event was outdoors. Did any flammable and odorless methane blow in off the ocean during this event? No way to know - nobody is checking. Nobody would see methane, or smell it, that's certain. An outdoor venue, on the coast, with a huge fire and hundreds injured - it's suspicious. Maybe this was a bad mistake with the dust or powder, or maybe that wasn't the entirety of the problem, or maybe that wasn't the problem at all. We'll never know for sure why these people burned. Regardless, when 500+ people go up in flames at an outdoor venue near a coast, it's worth noting, so note it I do.

The biggest underground explosion/fire event to occur anywhere on the planet so far also happened in Taiwan, in late July in 2014. A series of massive underground explosions and fires blew up several streets at midnight in the port city of Kaohsiung (Taiwan), killing dozens of people and injuring hundreds, mentioned in the 2014-07-31 update. So this devastating fire in Taipei isn't even the first huge and anomalous fire event on the island in the last year. One might be a fluke. Two? Coincidence? Seems doubtful, but three will certainly be a pattern, so let's see what happens next...

2015-06-28 - Brush fire grows to 3000 acres, 24 homes and 3 businesses destroyed, in/near Wenatchee (Washington):

Quote: "Chelan County Sheriff's Office says dozens of homes and commercial buildings are on fire right now. They say leave your home if you live on the north end of Wenatchee."

Note: In some of the pics you can see a river. That's the Columbia River. Wenatchee is located right next to it. Keep an eye on the wildfires as the Earth progressively burns - most of the fires are breaking out near bodies of water and/or near coastlines or in coastal states. That's not a coincidence...

2015-06-29 - Civic Stadium destroyed by massive blaze in Eugene (Oregon), 2-block radius evacuated:

Note: It was vacant but not falling apart or anything. Someone had just bought it for $4.5 million. So far as I know this is the first stadium to be completely destroyed by fire, but I'm sure it won't be the last. I try to highlight the 'firsts' as we go, like the first time TWO skyscrapers went up in flames, which happened in April in Jinzhong (China), mentioned in the 2015-04-28 update...

2015-06-30 - Military C-130 Hercules plane comes down smoking shortly after takeoff, crashes into residential area, explodes and burns, on Sumatra Island (Indonesia), 141+ killed:

Quote: "Witnesses said it was shooting flames and smoke before crashing."

Quote: "No details have been released regarding whether mechanical or human error led to the crash, but a witness said the plane was emitting smoke from at least one of its engines."

Quote: "North Sumatra police major A. Tarigan told TVOne that 141 bodies have been recovered from the rubble of a residential area where the C-130 Hercules crashed shortly after takeoff on Tuesday."

2015-06-30 - Smoke in the plane sends passenger plane to emergency landing in San Antonio (Texas):

2015-06-30 - Forest fire erupts in the Chernobyl exclusion zone in Ukraine:

Quote: "It was unclear if the fire has hit parts of the zone heavily contaminated by radiation from the 1986 reactor explosion and fire, the world's worst nuclear disaster. It's the second forest fire in the area this year. A massive fire broke out some 15 to 20 kilometers from the nuclear plant on April 28. Emergency services had deployed more than 300 firefighters, three planes and one helicopter to tackle that fire, which Kyiv said was the largest in Ukraine since 1992."

Quote: "This is the second fire in the off-limits zone in three months. The forest fire in April swept through 400 hectares and was described as the first fire in the area in more than two decades."

Note: So no fires here for decades and now two major fires in less than 3 months...
