Note: That's right, if we stop polluting, 'global dimming' will fade and we will then experience the full force of global warming. But the polluting is also making things worse. So it's like we're addicted to a drug that will definitely kill us all, but if we quit the drug then the withdrawal symptoms will definitely kill us all, and probably even quicker. So either way...

He's not the only one infected. Some Republican Senators are infected, some White House staff, adviser Hope Hicks, the head of the Republican National Committee, etc. Some conspiracy theorist asked why so many Republicans are getting infected and not so many Democrats, and implied it was a conspiracy. Yeah, and they're not just targeting Republicans who don't take the virus seriously, they're also targeting people who don't use parachutes when skydiving, people who don't wear helmets when riding motorcycles and people who don't look both ways before crossing streets! Who's next?!

Quote: "The team ran their software for several generations, and reproduced all the known pathways to prebiotic molecules. Some prebiotic molecules, Allchemy identified, can form incredibly quickly - glycine, which our bodies use as a neurotransmitter, forms after just one reaction. Urea, adenine (a component of DNA), butenedioic acid, and oxalic acid can form after just two reactions; and glyceraldehyde, isoguanine, aspartic acid, hypoxanthine, cytosine, phenylalanine, succinic acid, malic acid, glyoxylic acid and aldotetrose can form after three."
Note: In 2012 I linked to a scientific paper titled 'Theory of the Origin, Evolution, and Nature of Life'. The link is here. It is an incredible and complex work that theorizes much the same thing as the above researchers found: that life is not only not rare but, if the conditions are adequate and basic elements and chemicals are present, it is INEVITABLE. The paper I linked in 2012 goes much farther than just the origin of life though and theorizes a 'gyromodel of the universe' which explains many other things, from the micro to the macro. The author almost had to invent a new language for it. It's a complicated and fascinating work which explains many mysteries...

But research from Boston University School of Public Health finds that the true number of losses could be much higher. That analysis, available on medRxiv ahead of peer-reviewed publication, took a close look at the number of US deaths between February and September 2020 that are characterized as in excess of the number of deaths that would be expected in a normal year. Researchers discovered that for every 100 excess deaths directly attributed to COVID-19, there were another 36 excess deaths—also likely caused by COVID-19, but in a less obvious manner."

Note: Once that happens - and it has already begun - then we'd need to not only stop all human emissions, but also remove all the greenhouse gases from the atmosphere that are being added by the massive fires now sweeping the planet AND remove from the atmosphere all of the massive amounts of greenhouse gases that the melting permafrost belches up, if we wish to avoid extinction and the death of every human being on the surface of the planet. Since doing that is far beyond the ability of the human race, that means our fate is certain and extinction awaits us. The only real question now is how long will it be until the last human being dies. Stay tuned!

Blue tide is a phenomenon in which dead plankton that collects at the bottom of the ocean breaks down and oxygen levels reduce, causing water containing sulfide to rise to the surface, which in turn makes the ocean look pale blue. The hydrogen sulfide produced in blue tides are said to smell like rotten eggs or gasoline."

2020-10-26 - 'Sleeping giant' Arctic methane deposits starting to release, scientists find:

http://www.realclearscience.com/2020/10/28/sleeping_giant_arctic_methane_deposits_starting_to_release_292809.html
Quote: "Scientists have found evidence that frozen methane deposits in the Arctic Ocean – known as the 'sleeping giants of the carbon cycle' – have started to be released over a large area of the continental slope off the East Siberian coast, the Guardian can reveal."
Quote: "The international team onboard the Russian research ship R/V Akademik Keldysh said most of the bubbles were currently dissolving in the water but methane levels at the surface were four to eight times what would normally be expected and this was venting into the atmosphere."
Quote: "At one location on the Laptev Sea slope at a depth of about 300 metres they found methane concentrations of up to 1,600 nanomoles per litre, which is 400 times higher than would be expected if the sea and the atmosphere were in equilibrium."
Quote: "The latest discovery potentially marks the third source of methane emissions from the region. Semiletov, who has been studying this area for two decades, has previously reported the gas is being released from the shelf of the Arctic – the biggest of any sea. For the second year in a row, his team have found crater-like pockmarks in the shallower parts of the Laptev Sea and East Siberian Sea that are discharging bubble jets of methane, which is reaching the sea surface at levels tens to hundreds of times higher than normal. This is similar to the craters and sinkholes reported from inland Siberian tundra earlier this autumn."
Note: It was just a matter of time before this sleeping giant woke up. Once that happens - and it's obviously happening - that's game over for the human race. We're all just waiting our turn for our name to scroll across the closing credits for the Humanity Show now. Well, we had a good run. Hopefully the next intelligent species to evolve will be smarter than us. And we're not gone yet. We still have lots of horrifying apocalyptic stuff to endure before the last human being dies, so we've got that to look forward to before we go extinct!
