Event Update For 2020-05-10

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

2020-05-10 - Unknown sulfury rotten egg odor hits large region in and around Paris (France):

Quote: "But on Sunday night, residents in the northern part of the city and its suburbs noticed a strange smell of sulphur hanging in the air. Firefighters received a large volume of calls about the smell and by Monday morning reports were coming in from as far as Melun and Meaux, around 50km south and east of Paris respectively. There were even some calls from the Hauts-de-France and Pays-de-la-Loire areas."

Quote: "'It's more likely to be a local source of odour, even though it affects a large part of the region. This is in line with the sewage pipes.' The heavy rain in the city on Sunday night could have stirred up hidden gases from the bottom of rivers overflow areas in the city."

Note: If they're suspecting a gas that causes a rotten egg odor that came from river bottoms or sewers then what they're saying is that they think this was hydrogen sulfide...

Quote: "The foul odor might have been emitted by a part current in wastewater, hydrogen sulfide (H2S), however which isn’t a part of Airparif's surveys."

Note: So they suspect it was hydrogen sulfide but they're not testing for hydrogen sulfide. Maybe they'll start testing for hydrogen sulfide during events like this once a big concentrated cloud hits Paris and kills tens of thousands of people. Time will tell! Also, the Normandy Coast in France is where seaweed has been washing ashore, rotting, and releasing hydrogen sulfide, which has been killing people and animals. The Normandy Coast in France is also right across the English Channel from Britain, where unknown poison gas has blown ashore on beaches, sickening people and sending them fleeing from the beaches...

  2. Trump dismantles environmental protections under cover of coronavirus

The Trump administration is diligently weakening US environment protections even amid a global pandemic, continuing its rollback as the November election approaches.

During the Covid-19 lockdown, US federal agencies have eased fuel-efficiency standards for new cars; frozen rules for soot air pollution; proposed to drop review requirements for liquefied natural gas terminals; continued to lease public property to oil and gas companies; sought to speed up permitting for offshore fish farms; and advanced a proposal on mercury pollution from power plants that could make it easier for the government to conclude regulations are too costly to justify their benefits.

Russel Blaylock: Face masks pose serious risks to the healthy

As for the scientific support for the use of face mask, a recent careful examination of the literature, in which 17 of the best studies were analyzed, concluded that, "None of the studies established a conclusive relationship between mask/respirator use and protection against influenza infection." Keep in mind, no studies have been done to demonstrate that either a cloth mask or the N95 mask has any effect on transmission of the COVID-19 virus. Any recommendations, therefore, have to be based on studies of influenza virus transmission. And, as you have seen, there is no conclusive evidence of their efficiency in controlling flu virus transmission.

The fact that this virus is a relatively benign infection for the vast majority of the population and that most of the at-risk group also survive, from an infectious disease and epidemiological standpoint, by letting the virus spread through the healthier population we will reach a herd immunity level rather quickly that will end this pandemic quickly and prevent a return next winter. During this time, we need to protect the at-risk population by avoiding close contact, boosting their immunity with compounds that boost cellular immunity and in general, care for them.

One should not attack and insult those who have chosen not to wear a mask, as these studies suggest that is the wise choice to make. [more; let's throw it all out - do what you want!]

Get Ready: The U.S. Will Face a “Hotter-Than-Average” Summer This Year

The U.S. can expect a “hotter-than-average” summer, according to the The Weather Channel.

After the warmest January in 141 years, global temperatures in 2020 are on track to be among the hottest ever recorded.

Don’t be fooled by the random snow and frigid winds that took over Mother’s Day weekend in many parts of the country. The next few months are going to be sizzling. The Weather Channel reports that most of the U.S. can plan on having a “hotter-than-average” summer in 2020.

May will end with “temperatures near average or slightly warmer from the Northeast and mid-Atlantic into the Midwest, as well as along the West Coast,” The Weather Channel reports. The South and interior West can also expect above-average temps through May, while parts of northern North Dakota and Minnesota may see below-average numbers for this month.

But things will heat up quickly. In June and July, temperatures will be nearly or slightly above average in basically every part of the country. And getting into August, most states will experience higher-than-normal heat, with the highest spike hitting various parts of the Northwest, including eastern Washington and Oregon, Idaho, western Montana, western Wyoming, northern Utah, and northeastern Nevada. Climate change: Study pours cold water on oil company net zero claims

Claims by oil and gas companies that they are curbing their carbon emissions in line with net zero targets are overstated, according to a new review. [no shit?]

the authors say none of the companies are yet aligned with the 1.5C temperature goal.

Scientists argue that the global temperature must not rise by more than 1.5C [and we're well past that already] by the end of the century [pfff, when no one will be alive] if the world is to avoid the worst impacts of climate change.

The research has been carried out by the Transition Pathway Initiative (TPI), an investor-led group which investigates how companies are preparing for the move to a low-carbon economy.

Going net zero means removing as many emissions as are produced.

TPI found that the relationship between the oil and gas industry and climate change has evolved rapidly over the last three years.

despite Shell's stated commitment to having a net-zero energy business by 2050, TPI says that "the claim that it will be aligned with a 1.5C climate scenario is not consistent with our analysis." [more; total nonsense - they're FOSSIL FUEL COMPANIES!]

  6. Montana judge upholds ruling that canceled Keystone XL pipeline permit

A federal judge in Montana on Monday upheld his ruling last month that canceled an environmental permit for the long-delayed Keystone XL oil pipeline and threatened other oil and natural gas pipeline projects with delays.

Chief U.S. District Judge Brian Morris denied a request by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to narrow his April 15 ruling that canceled the so-called Nationwide Permit 12. The permit allows dredging work on pipelines across water bodies.

Morris said that the Army Corps did not adequately consult with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service on risks to endangered species and habitat when it renewed the permit in 2017. To allow the agency to continue authorizing new oil and gas pipeline construction "could seriously injure projected species and critical habitat," Morris said in the decision.
[tomorrow's headline: Judge found dead in local creek . . ]

The judge revised his original ruling, however, to allow non-pipeline projects such as electric transmission lines to proceed, as they are less likely to cause damage to endangered species. [more]

Glen Gawarkiewicz, a senior scientist at the institution, said 2019 was equally “disturbing,” adding that over the past seven years, water temperatures off southern New England have increased by nine degrees Fahrenheit, faster than any region outside of the Arctic. Even as President Donald Trump urges getting people back to work and reopening the economy, an Associated Press analysis shows thousands of people are getting sick from COVID-19 on the job.

Recent figures show a surge of infections in meatpacking and poultry-processing plants. There's been a spike of new cases among construction workers in Austin, Texas, where that sector recently returned to work. Even the White House has proven vulnerable, with positive coronavirus tests for one of Trump’s valets and for Vice President Mike Pence’s press secretary.

The developments underscore the high stakes for communities nationwide as they gradually loosen restrictions on business.

“The people who are getting sick right now are generally people who are working,” Dr. Mark Escott, a regional health official, told Austin’s city council. “That risk is going to increase the more people are working.” [more]

‘Puzzling’ virus of UNKNOWN origin with genes scientists can’t identify discovered in Brazil

Scientists in Brazil have discovered a virus which appears to be almost entirely new, consisting of unrecognizable genes that have been, until now, undocumented.

The Yaravirus (Yaravirus brasiliensis), named after a water deity in Brazilian mythology and folklore, was discovered in Lake Pampulha in the Brazilian city of Belo Horizonte.

90 percent of the genes in the Yaravirus have never been described before in public scientific databases and literature.

Rather worryingly, the researchers conclude that the amount of unknown proteins within the Yaravirus throws open the door to a whole other world of as-yet-undiscovered viruses we know little to nothing about. [more; oh great..]
