Event Update For 2019-10-23

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

2019-10-23 - Melting glaciers reveal five new islands in the Arctic in Russia:

http://nationalpost.com/news/world/melting-glacier-in-the-arctic-uncovers-five-islands-we-didnt-know-existed-say-russian-navy

Note: This area is west of parts of Siberia, so it makes sense that a glacier here would be melting away. The permafrost in Siberia is melting now, destabilizing the ground across millions of acres and causing massive explosive methane outgassing events that leave gigantic craters in the ground. Vast amounts of ancient frozen carbon - dead animals and plants - have begun to rot in Siberia as the ground thaws. That smell is from methane and hydrogen sulfide, the byproducts of anaerobic digestion of biomatter by bacteria and archaea. That entire area is basically becoming one gigantic outgassing event spanning millions of acres. Methane is boiling out of the East Siberia Sea now too. Some of the residents of Siberia have used the phrase 'the end of the world' and they're not wrong. But on the plus side...new islands!

Why Rising Acidification Poses a Special Peril for Warming Arctic Waters
    https://www.fasterthanexpected.com/2019/10/24/why-rising-acidification-poses-a-special-peril-for-warming-arctic-waters/

Those same cold waters and unique environmental conditions make the Arctic especially susceptible to the rapidly shifting ocean chemistry wrought by that excess carbon. The result: rising acidity, which eats up the minerals vital to shell-building creatures, as well as posing other dangers to Arctic marine life.

Acidification is underway throughout the world’s oceans, according to a new Oceans and Cryosphere report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. But the various ocean regions will respond differently to the same amount of carbon dioxide, says Alessandro Tagliabue, a University of Liverpool biogeochemist and one of the lead authors on the ocean changes chapter of the report. As our carbon emissions continue to soar, acidic conditions will race across the high latitudes first, according to the report. And Arctic ecosystems and people — already stressed by rising temperatures, vanishing ice, and the myriad other effects of climate change — are particularly threatened by acidification’s impacts. What You Think Is Controlled By What You Watch, And What You Watch Is Controlled By The Elite
    http://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/archives/what-you-think-is-controlled-by-what-you-watch-and-what-you-watch-is-controlled-by-the-elite

Why do you believe what you believe? Some people have a really solid answer to that question, but much of the population never thinks much about deeper questions such as this. In fact, for most Americans it is simply easier to let others do their thinking for them. Today, most of us spend multiple hours each day absorbing information through a screen, and most of the content that is fed to us through our televisions, phones, tablets and computers is controlled by the elite. And if you allow anyone to feed information into your mind for several hours every day, it is going to have a dramatic impact on how you view the world. The Old Farmer's Almanac, which was founded in 1792, says that the upcoming winter "will be remembered for strong storms" featuring heavy rain, sleet, and a lot of snow. In fact, as David Wallace-Wells detailed this year for New York magazine, the fire season never really ends anymore. Both scientists and firefighters have suggested dropping the "season" term. It is always fire season, and fire season is always getting worse, because it is always getting hotter and drier. About half of the 88 cities in Los Angeles county are classified as "Very High Fire-Hazard Severity Zones," raising the prospect that in the future, the gleaming jewel of the West—our great American dream factory—will come to resemble a very particular kind of hell. After all, as Wallace-Wells tells us, some of these fires grow an acre a second. Some grow three times faster still. You cannot outrun fire traveling 60 miles per hour on the Santa Ana winds. [more]

The Navajo Transitional Energy Company blamed the state of Montana for the impasse over the Spring Creek Mine near Decker. Its executives said they were standing up for the company's sovereign rights as an entity wholly-owned by the Navajo Nation.

State regulators contended it was the company's decision to shutter the mine. They said the state had been open to a short-term waiver of immunity so mining could go on while negotiations continued.
