Event Update For 2019-03-07

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

Margo hits it out of the park today - WAY worse than we thought. In fact, if you follow the map today, it's no wonder all these fires are breaking out (due to all the methane being released and wafting from west to east across the U.S.). Since methane usually combines with hydrogen sulfide, the same plume accounts for the people dying while driving, etc. Take a look!

C1-class SOLAR FLARE hurls CME with an expansion velocity of more than 600 km/s (1.3 million mph) toward Earth

In time of solar minimum, it is pretty rare to get a solar flare and especially a CME. For example, the sun had no sunspots for the entire month of Feb. 2019. Well, this morning, March 8th at 0319 UT, the magnetic field of sunspot AR2734 became unstable and exploded. The result was a C1-class solar flare aimed directly at Earth. [more]

This week's shout out goes to Jeremy Grantham, a man who made a fortune, but can still tell the truth, on climate change, tax reform, and wealth inequality. Why? Because he's an order of magnitude smarter, more honest and more human than the denialist Twinkies who define this era.

"Wealth inequality in the U.S. is approaching that of countries like Brazil and Chile."

We got comically asinine economic data out of Europe, China, and the U.S. late this week. The U.S. payroll report missed consensus estimates by an order of magnitude (20k versus 180k). Afterwards, I couldn't find one link to it on the main page of CNBS. 3. A climate or weather report for central Texas.... Last weekend and up until early Wednesday we had much colder weather for this time of year. Four nights in a row of freezing temperatures with a few days staying under 40F. A couple of the nights it went down to the mid 20s, and even lower in more rural areas. Last night I woke up at 2AM because I was hot. Checked the temperature and it was 70F! So an almost 50 degree change in less than three days. And it got up to the 80s for a high yesterday and probably will again today. But only getting down to 70 for a low is more in line with early to mid June around here. Well, that was back when it was "normal" anyway.

  4. i don't know how meteorologists keep a straight face, or why their noses don't grow out in front of their faces to ludicrous lengths. No one can tell me they (at least SOME) "don't know" about (abrupt) climate change when that's all they do all day.

They'd have to be complete dolts otherwise. Pretty hard to grow crops in those kind of circumstances. Gettin' pretty hard to LIVE under these conditions!
