"The question of questions for mankind - the problem which underlies all others, and is more deeply interesting than any other - is the ascertainment of the place which Man occupies in nature and of his relations to the universe of things." -- Thomas Henry Huxley

Event Update For 2019-03-05
http://jumpingjackflashhypothesis.blogspot.com/2012/02/jumping-jack-flash-hypothesis-its-gas.html
The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.
A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

2019-03-05 - Wildfires, flooding and droughts could make climate change an issue in 2020:
http://time.com/5543102/2020-election-climate-change/
Quote: "Ultimately, though, as the effects of climate change grow more severe, the warming planet will push its own messaging."
Note: Sounds good, but then we're back to the question of what are we going to do about it? If we stop polluting then global dimming fades and we die quicker without that dimming. If we don't stop polluting then we die, but a little slower as long as we pollute enough to keep global dimming going. The end game - Earth cycling into its anoxic state and becoming uninhabitable - is the same no matter what we do or don't do. The underlying assumption of the Green New Deal is that this problem has an attainable solution. Not all problems have attainable solutions. Like it or not, this is one of those problems. That's just the reality of our situation. In short, buckle up, because this ride's going to get a whole lot rougher!

ReplyDeleteHey Jonny! Good morning all.
ReplyDeleteTemps are about to rebound to about average around here starting tomorrow - wooo-hooo! [i won't get excited, since more rain is expected this weekend, as has been the case pretty much all winter]
Funny how they couldn't find a source of the H2S in MONTREAL, where, if i remember correctly - it's an ISLAND by the St. Lawrence RIVER [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_rivers_and_water_bodies_of_Montreal_Island]
Beside drivers dying while driving (or having bizarre accidents or their vehicles suddenly going up in flames), small planes and aircraft in general are having problems on this day.
i hate it when barns and kennels burn, since the animals are LOCKED IN and have no chance of escape.

“Off the charts” arsenic levels detected in Western Pennsylvania groundwater
http://www.fasterthanexpected.com/2019/03/06/off-the-charts-arsenic-levels-detected-in-western-pennsylvania-groundwater/
New data shows arsenic at levels 372 times greater than the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s threshold for safety in groundwater an hour northwest of Pittsburgh.
The study, conducted by the Environmental Integrity Project and Earthjustice, used industry-reported data from more than 4,600 groundwater monitoring wells located around the ash dumps of 265 coal-fired power plants, or roughly three quarters of all coal plants in the country. Of those sites, 91 percent were contaminated with unsafe levels of toxic contaminants like the ones found at the New Castle site.
Exposure to arsenic can cause leukemia and lymphoma, cancer of the skin, stomach, and kidneys, and result in lower IQs in children. [more]

The Trade Deficit Continues To Explode, Factories Continue To Be Closed, And U.S. Jobs Continue To Be Sent Overseas
http://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/archives/the-trade-deficit-continues-to-explode-factories-continue-to-be-closed-and-u-s-jobs-continue-to-be-sent-overseas
The long-term trends that are gutting the U.S. economy continue to get even worse. As you will see below, our goods trade deficit with the rest of the world hit a brand new record high in 2018, and most Americans simply do not understand why this is such a massive problem. Every year, we buy far more from the rest of the world than they buy from us, and that means that the amount of money going out of the country far surpasses the amount that is coming in. This constant outflow of cash is one of the reasons why we are unable to pay our bills, and so we have to keep begging the rest of the world to lend us our money back. Needless to say, this is one of the big factors that has fueled our 22 trillion dollar national debt. In addition, when we run absolutely massive trade deficits we lose factories and workers to other countries. Since China joined the WTO in 2001, the United States has lost more than 60,000 factories. As factories keep closing down, community after community is being gutted all across America, and without a doubt this is truly a major national crisis. [more]

Officials estimated the sinkhole is about 50 yards wide and 85 yards long and possibly 50 feet deep – almost the size of a football field! But it’s “potentially larger or deeper” in some areas. [more]
Why Only Fools Trust America’s Mainstream ‘News’
https://washingtonsblog.com/2019/03/why-only-fools-trust-americas-mainstream-news.html [Eric Zuesse]
Here will be yet another current example to demonstrate that all U.S. mainstream ’news’ media hide from their respective publics that the U.S. Government is lying, when the U.S. Government lies — i.e., that all of the mainstream ’news’ media in America hide the truth, when the Government itself is lying. In other words: the U.S. mainstream ’news’ media are propaganda-organs for the U.S. Government. [tons of examples, past and present]
In conclusion, then, no country in the world has a press that’s more dishonest than the United States of America does. “More dishonest” than this press would even be a ludicrous concept. Though the particular lies that are being promoted elsewhere might happen to be different, they can’t be worse. America’s having destroyed Iran and Libya, etc., is proof of this.
Consequently: Only people who possess a thoroughly scientific orientation toward confirming and disconfirming allegations, are capable of extracting from such ‘news’ a realistic understanding of what’s actually happening. The vast majority of people can be fooled, and they can be fooled constantly and even for (as in the instance of America, since at least 2003) decades, and yet still trust the institutions that have deceived them so mercilessly through all of those decades. This is the major reason why the United States is a dictatorship, not a democracy — and why any ‘news’-site which calls the U.S. a ‘democracy’ is thereby clearly demonstrating its untrustworthiness. SYSTEM RISK
http://ponziworld.blogspot.com/2019/03/system-risk.html
What we are witnessing in real-time is global everything crash. Assiduously ignored. What else?
MAGA is system risk, period. Nothing more, and nothing less. It's the unprecedented combination of hubris and risk that puts this circus at risk of extinction. The precise recipe consisting of: Extreme leverage, extreme complacency, and higher interest rates.
This multi-month stock rally was predicated upon the end of the trade war, which now appears to be imminent. Meanwhile, we learned this week that the U.S. trade deficit is record wide. Eclipsing the 2008 low.
This is MAGA in a nutshell, farce and fraud on an epic scale, attended by manic speculation, and rampant denial. [more]
Frigid air to precede next winter storm in Midwest, Northeast
https://www.yahoo.com/news/frigid-air-precede-next-winter-120000719.html [~ 1.5 min. weather report]
The diamond-shaped thing - I might have an idea what that is. In 2011, for the first time ever, a Delta IV heavy rocket was launched from Vandenberg in California with an unknown payload. That secret space plane was in orbit at the time too. A couple of days later, late at night, a woman posted saying that she saw what looked like a gigantic origami-ish thing being unfolded in the night sky, and where it was unfolded, the sky went black, the stars blotted out.
ReplyDeleteSo, I think that Delta IV launched some kind of mesh into the sky, and they used the space plane to deploy it a couple of nights later, when it was still in low Earth orbit. How big it is I do not know. What would be the use of such a thing? At first I thought they might use it to blot out some of the Sun's radiation, to slow the heating of the planet. But I think we'd see more evidence of it if they were doing that.
So I think it's being used to blot out objects in the sky that they don't want us to see - 'objects' passing by the planet that, if seen, would spark planetary fear and panic. Notice that there was no way to tell how far away that diamond was - I think it's HUGE and it's somewhere up in orbit. They can sort of hide it by keeping it on the night side most of the time or by turning it sideways to decrease its visible profile, or both. Most of the time you won't notice it, but I think that woman DID notice it. No idea why they let it be as visible as they did - perhaps they're moving its position for some reason.
I think that's more likely that some kind of craft in this particular case, though I can't rule out that possibility either.
Also, they can fold it back up to hide it when it's not being used, just by reversing the unfolding process that they used to deploy it initially. All of that is probably done remotely using that secret space plane as a remotely-operated tool.
