The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.
A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

E.P.A. head stacks agency with global warming denialists – “For the first time, I see someone who has no commitment to the mission of the agency”
http://www.desdemonadespair.net/2017/03/epa-head-stacks-agency-with-global.html

#16 Someday a very large earthquake will produce a major tsunami on the west coast. According to the Los Angeles Times, one study found that a magnitude 9.0 earthquake along the Cascadia fault could potentially produce a massive tsunami that would “wash away coastal towns”… [more]

ReplyDeleteThis Region Of The World Is Being Hit By The Worst Economic Collapse It Has Ever Experienced
http://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/archives/this-region-of-the-world-is-being-hit-by-the-worst-economic-collapse-it-has-ever-experienced
The ninth largest economy in the entire world is currently experiencing “its longest and deepest recession in recorded history”, and in a country right next door people are being encouraged to label their trash so that the thousands upon thousands of desperately hungry people that are digging through trash bins on the streets can find discarded food more easily. Of course the two nations that I am talking about are Brazil and Venezuela. [more]

Happily Going Down With The Titanic
http://ponziworld.blogspot.com/2017/03/happily-going-down-with-titanic.html
Even as the Fed prepares to raise rates one week from today, the GDP forecast for Q1 continues to "quietly fall through the floor". How can this happen? Insert rant here. In a nutshell deja vu of 2008, the Fed is focused on transient "inflationary" factors such as a one time increase in the minimum wage following the election. Worse yet, they are keying off the stock market and speculative appetite. Thirdly they are looking at Consumer ConnedFidence which is soaring for no reason other than stock price appreciation. Remember, Janet Yellen got the job because with reference to Lehman she "did not see any of that coming until it happened". You're hired...

Yeah, fire season has begun, or at least it sure does look like it has. And the previous biggest wildfire in Kansas history was waaaay back in...2016. So fires are starting to break the previous record consistently now. I'm sure we'll be seeing more of that in future episodes of 'As The World Burns'!

Commentary: The looming crisis for US tritium production
Tritium, an isotope of hydrogen, is an essential component in all U.S. nuclear weapons and bombs. It is radioactive with a decay half-life of 12 years and, thus, must be replenished in U.S. warheads every few years. Absent timely replenishment, our warheads become duds.
