Event Update For 2020-06-08

http://jumpingjackflashhypothesis.blogspot.com/2012/02/jumping-jack-flash-hypothesis-its-gas.html

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

2020-06-08 - Noctilucent clouds spread to mid-latitudes:

http://www.wunderground.com/cat6/Methane-Giving-Noctilucent-Clouds-Boost
http://phys.org/news/2018-07-climate-night-shining-clouds-visible.html
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Noctilucent_cloud

Quote: "Noctilucent clouds (NLCs) are spilling across the Arctic Circle and descending to mid-latitudes. 'During morning twilight, the north was unusually bright with beautiful blue-green clouds,' reports Debra Ceravolo of Osoyoos, BC, Canada. 'It is rare to see them here at 49 degrees latitude.'"

Quote: "Last summer, noctilucent clouds spread as far south as Los Angeles and Las Vegas, setting records for low-latitude sightings."

Quote: "A rarely-seen type of cloud at very high altitudes appears to be getting more common as a result of human-produced climate change, but it’s not high temperatures that are forcing the shift. Instead, a modeling study released this month finds that the increasing reports of noctilucent (night-shining) clouds can be explained by ever-larger amounts of water vapor produced from methane."

Quote: "Water vapor in the middle atmosphere comes from two sources: water vapor from Earth's surface that is transported upward, and methane, a potent greenhouse gas that produces water vapor through chemical reactions in the middle atmosphere. The study found the increase in atmospheric methane since the late 1800s has significantly increased the amount of water vapor in the middle atmosphere. This more than doubled the amount of mesospheric ice present in the mid latitudes from 1871 to 2008, according to the study."

Quote: "Recent studies suggest that increased atmospheric methane emissions produce additional water vapor once the methane molecules reach the mesosphere – creating, or reinforcing existing noctilucent clouds."

Note: The rising methane levels in the atmosphere are causing more noctilucent clouds and causing them to spread farther south too. What none of those stories really go into detail about is HOW the methane is turned into water vapor. It happens when methane reacts with either ozone or hydroxyl radicals (HO). The reaction destroys the methane molecule and also destroys the ozone or HO molecule and creates water vapor and carbon dioxide. Both ozone and hydroxyl radicals are important. Ozone shields us from UV radiation from the Sun. Hydroxyl radicals are the atmosphere's detergents, reacting away many pollutants. A gigantic ozone hole 3 times the size of Greenland opened over the Arctic earlier this year. And now noctilucent clouds are spreading southward from the Arctic. Both of these events surely have a great deal to do with the rising amount of methane in the atmosphere...

  1. Happy Humpday Jonny, everyone. Well, it's beginning to look like we're cooked no matter what we do now. It seems that so many tipping points have been crossed that the Earths climate is out of any control, so then the collapse of industrial civilization (slow at first, then all at once) and our extinction will proceed along at an ever increasing rate.

Completely understandable methane/radicals explanation, Jonny - thanks for making things clear. All that extra water vapor is what is causing the widespread flooding we're witnessing.

How about all these multiple unexplained deaths? Monkeys dying in the same water sources as people clearly demonstrates that the phenomenon is beyond human causes (as if everyone who died was due to the persons' own physical states - nope!). Of course the Indian authorities will claim they all ate poison berries or some such.

The extreme weather has hit the region's tourism hard, which is still reeling from the COVID-19 epidemic.

In Yangshuo, a popular tourist destination known for its karst mountains and river sights, streets were waterlogged after a sudden flood, forcing residents and tourists to be evacuated on bamboo rafts.

The county government of Yangshuo said more than 1,000 hotels and family inns and 5,000 shops have been flooded. Over 30 tourist sites were damaged.

In central Hunan Province, seven people had been killed and one remained missing as of Tuesday.

In Guizhou Province in southwest China, intense rain has left eight people missing or dead, the local emergency response department said, adding that 2,800 people were relocated.

The rain and flooding also damaged 10,700 hectares of crops and damaged more than 2,800 houses in the mountainous province, according to the department.

Affected by the rainstorms, 110 rivers in eight provincial-level regions have seen water levels exceed the warning line, according to the Ministry of Emergency Management. [more]

The raging insanity continues, yesterday the second-highest number of cases yesterday of Covid-19 in one day since the pandemic began was a massive 130,000 new cases. That number was just 2,000 cases behind the record which was achieved just 5 days ago. More than 7 million people have been struck with the virus since it was first reported on the 31st of December 2019. While the world is busy gettin' its folks back to work, the WHO warned us yesterday of Covid-19 rebound risk claiming the pandemic is ‘WORSENING’ globally and if we are to believe the figures, yes it is. All the data is here at Johns Hopkins University (unless 200 counties are lying why shouldn't we believe them?)

The US had its best day yesterday since early May with 18,000 new cases compared to its record of 30,000 five days ago, however, new Coronavirus cases are accelerating in more than a dozen states, California remains on an upward trajectory, hospitalizations are surging in the South and Texas reports its second day of a record number of cases. Georgia was the first US state to reopen. What does its economy look like now?
    https://www.yahoo.com/news/georgia-first-us-state-reopen-180051426.html

A little over a month ago, Georgia became the first U.S. state to allow businesses to reopen from the coronavirus lockdown, leaving a roadmap to recovery for the rest of the country as it starts to gradually ease stay-at-home guidelines.

So far, the state has not experienced a sustained surge in COVID-19 cases that critics warned would happen when the shelter-in-place order expired on April 30, even as nail salons, hairdressers, bowling alleys, gyms, restaurants and clothing stores reopened, so long as they followed proper safety guidelines.

Georgia is now viewed as a bellwether of sorts for how quickly the U.S. economy may return to pre-crisis levels.

Early evidence suggests the rollback of restrictions led to a significant jump in economic activity: According to a new analysis published by the University of Wisconsin-Madison, activity in Georgia is down just 24 percent from the year-ago period, compared to a 55 percent decline in mid-April. A Good Samaritan who risked his life to save a child who was being swept away down by a river has died.

The incident occurred on Tuesday evening when the man, who was in his early sixties, saw a child being swept away down the Kings River at Winton Park in Fresno, California.

The man, along with the child’s family, immediately jumped into the water to attempt a rescue.

Firefighters described a frenzied scene when they arrived and saw at least five people in the water struggling to get back to shore.

“Ultimately, multiple people were in the water [and there were] several near-drownings. EMS was checking out three different victims because of the temperature of the water and them just taking on and inhaling some water.”

Firefighters say that everyone but the fisherman made it safely out of the water, including the child.
